Public Storage

I only stored my things here for less than 7 months. When I went to my storage unit yesterday my things were wet and mold was growing all over. There is furniture I must throw out as well as other expensive shoes and such. I was not pleased to say the least. I called the office but they were closed and left a message. Today, I had a message from them. However, instead of apologizing for my stuff being wet and ruined Rita on the phone started the message off with because I wasn’t moved out by 5pm yesterday I owe 1.71 and at the end of the message said «oh, and about your stuff being wet, I don’t know…» So, am I being called a liar? And then proceeded to say «we don’t handle that you had insurance and you have to go through them.» Had no contact information for the insurance place either. It’s the insurance place that they make you get at public storage, its mandatory! I wonder why? This happen a lot? I certainly would not recommend this Public storage on in Affton on Gravois. The whole reason why I chose them is because they are apparently climate controlled… seems as though it’s not so much!

Clean, well-​lit, well-​maintained, secured property. Property manager directly on property. Great customer service. One thing to note, however, the location is somewhat confusing to get to (it is near an overpass/​viaduct and you have to approach it from the right angle to even get into — GPS doesn’t get that detailed), so if you are planning to rent with the, call and get directions.

Rita made my experience quick and easy today. I would recommend this place.

Had to sign a lease at the last minute for a storage unit in Chicago. Rita stayed late to help us out and even entertained my young son while I was on the phone giving information to the Chicago office! I’m not sure about their storage units but if their customer service is anything like their storage I’m sure anyone would be happy they used this facility.

Over 10 yrs ago, I rented a storage unit at this location, and vacated it only a few years ago. During all of that time, this facility was always clean, well-​maintained, secure and safe.
Recently, I needed a trailer parking spot quickly and Dan found one (at a lower cost than quoted) quickly. Rita was equally helpful when I checked out less than 2 weeks later. The facility continues to be excellent. This will always be my go-​to place for storage needs.
