So we stopped here for a caffeine pick me up one morning before heading to Lumiere Place. It is located within the casino, but is visible from the exterior building. You will have to enter a main building door to get inside. This took us maybe a minute or two. No biggie. We went in and received great service. I got a caramel macchiato that was made to perfection and hit the spot. My boyfriend got an iced Mighty Leaf tea that was refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. When we stopped in, we noticed how this place serves as a hangout for other casino staff who were leaving/about to start working, and the Peet’s staff has a good rapport within the casino. So I’m a fan, I got a stellar coffee drink and got to see how this place is a comfy coffee spot for visitors and staff changing shifts. On our visit, there were two staff working and they sent out 4 orders in about 5 minutes, all drinks, so speed on our trip was good. The place has an open feel and is a bit of a library in terms of décor. I like it. Nice place to get a cup of joe and I’d go back.

Dark Cold Dry Empty Barista was nice, a tad slow but she was servicing both the walk up casino window as well as the store. It must’ve been too much for her; there was sugar spilled all over to pick up counter top. I really wanted her to have some help back there. Nonetheless my black coffee was hot, that’s where I stop complaining.

Cute little coffee shop attached to the Lumiere plaza. I went here for a quick breakfast before taking kids to the museums. It was convenient as we were staying in the Four Seasons and could walk there without going outside. I ordered the pecan banana bread muffin. The portions were large and the pecans were perfect. The kids got Apple Danishes. My two year old asked what a Danish was and I explained it was a fancy donut. The server then corrected me and my son saying it was not a donut. It was a Danish. I was a bit annoyed by this as the server appeared annoyed the entire time(we interrupted a intense text conversation when we walked up), yet we were the only ones in the entire place. The kids were extremely well behaved and we were taking our meal to go. The server also ended up throwing another Danish in the bag to go and it wasn’t until I was in the room that I realized the extra pastry and that I had paid for it. The gourmet coffee was great and so was the food. The server was the only thing of complaint.

You know what, it’s Peet’s. Like, Starbucks’ little cousin. «I can be just like you… if only I was bigger.» It gets the job done. I will say though, their oatmeal is pretty decent. Our iced Americano was okay… if you actually want strong coffee taste, I’d recommend an extra shot of espresso. This location is in the casino lobby, so there’s no telling what types of people you might see… Are they just getting done with their gambling stretch this morning? Just getting started? Confused about where they might be? It’s fun.

I think this is the first Peet’s to locate in Saint Louis, however its really only that in name. The sandwiches and salads are the same made at the casino and available at the buffet to go section. Service here has always been good, however I wish that Lumiere Place would open this up more to the outside, doors opening directly outside from Peet’s would be a welcome addition to the Landing. I shouldn’t have to walk into the casino’s main building in order to get a coffee. As far as atmosphere its very blah, despite being located inside yet outside the casino you can still hear the slot machines because of a window in the casino that allows gamblers to order, so this is not a place to relax over a cup of coffee. If you are staying in either the Four Seasons or Lumiere Hotel, it seems like this would be a paint to get to as its awkwardly located. There is no easy access for those driving, you either have to park in the casino garage or private lot, having two or three 5 minute parking spots would be great for those wanting to grab coffee on the go. The staff has always been more than helpful and always friendly greeting you with a smiling face and a cheerful welcome, so I give them credit for that. Sometimes its the people that make the difference!

Being from Cali, I know Peete’s and it is my favorite coffee shop on the planet. I wish we had them where I live now. I was SUPER excited to see Peete’s when I checked in at the hotel here. So much so that I left my espresso maker(have espresso maker, will travel) and all my latte fixings in the car. Came here 3 times while in St Louis and was reminded every time as to why they are my favorite. Coffee was fantastic(as always), service was fast and staff was helpful and nice.

I was in desperate search of breakfast that wasn’t an all out buffet at the hotel, and someone at Lumiere Hotel suggested Peets. The coffee was fine, which is important, but it was a bit lacking in my opinion. The only food options where muffins and scones. My blueberry muffin was heavy but moist, and I had no complaints. My friend got a scone, and she thought it was a bit dry. My other complaint was that while they have patio seating, there was no directly door to the tables outside. You had to walk much too far. In fact, we say the sign and tables, and then had trouble figuring out how to get inside. Good thing someone was sitting at a table and could direct us. Not that I wanted to sit outside on a 95 degree day. Still, bad planning. I would go back if I was staying at the Four Seasons or Lumiere Hotel, or maybe it would just be worth it to pay for room service like we did the second night.

I think this place struggled a bit at first but they are definitely«on it» now.(Of course, it helps that I’m a regular and the ladies who work there know me by my first name, but still.) The ambiance is not great. There’s a counter into the casino and a counter into the coffee shop, and the smoke and noise from the gaming area pours through so that it can be unpleasant. But the four big leather chairs are down behind a wall, which blocks some of that. It’s sort of oddly situated in a hallway, now that I think of it, and doesn’t have much coziness at all. On a nice day, though, you can sit outside and so long as no casino employee is taking her break and smoking/yapping on her cell phone, that can be pretty pleasant. And it’s the only place to get a decent cup of coffee on the Landing. Peet’s coffee is very tasty. Their drinks are comparably priced to other fancy coffee chains, so no bargains here. But the service is great — I love the ladies behind the counter, but especially Vernita, who always has a smile and a cheerful word. The sandwiches in the cold case are actually pretty good, too, as are the giant cookies, though they are costly.

This location is inside the Lumiere Place Casino and makes for really bad ambiance for a coffee shop setting. The lady who made our coffee didn’t really seem like she knew much about the company and what their about, she was really nice but I don’t think she even drinks coffee herself. I guess I was excited because I didn’t expect there to be a Peet’s in Saint Louis. I ordered a latte but was really disappointed and tasted bad. What really annoyed me is the fact that they are«proud» to be serving Peet’s coffee but it’s really a bad representation of what it really taste like back on the west coast.
