I needed to buy new New Balance shoes because I wear them almost everyday. I thought that if I went to a New Balance store, I could get shoes like my older ones; I did. I went there with no real expectations other than the hope that I could get the same type of shoes. I was waited on immediately by Tim who was knowledgeable and knew what I wanted after I explained what I wanted. He was easy to talk with, gave clear answers to my questions and was very likeable. I was pleased from the very beginning to leaving the store. The price for the shoes was less expensive that if I had gone to another shoe store; I was pleased about that. When I want to buy New Balance shoes again, I’m going to this store again.

AVOID this store and the aloof, unpleasant employee. Horrible experience with a confusing situation from employee. The response from the store manager was no better. As a former store manager myself, I never let a customer remain unhappy. I rarely reprimanded my employee over a complaint but I never let my customer know that! I certainly didn’t make excuse after excuse for them. I would apologize every way I could. I was empathetic, concerned, understanding and patient. I always asked the unhappy customer this question, «what can I do to make this right and retain your business?» I didn’t give the upset customer a lesson in New Balance shoes. Clearly, I wanted to keep my customers happy so that they would stay customers.

This is not a review of the shoes, but rather the staff itself. I have worn New Balance shoes for a long time and have always liked how they fit. This time around I’ve had some issues with the shoes and have gone back a couple of times to try different ones. The first encounter with the staff at this store has been good. But each subsequent one has been met with aloof attitudes and rudeness. From being told that it was my socks causing the problems(and having brought three different styles I wear and the same problem happening), to being looked down at when describing issues with the shoes, it gets very trying to go to this location to get help. I feel like I should just order online and leave out the middlemen these people are supposed to be in this location. I realize that they’re in the business to sell shoes, but they also need to be in the business to help customers and treat customers with the respect they deserve.

I was super excited to go in and try this store out. I had a $ 10 off coupon from the back of my Schnucks receipt and have been needing new shoes for awhile. I figured on a Sunday around 1:15 it shouldn’t be too bad. I have to say I spent at least 5 to 10 minutes in the store without anyone saying hello to me. The shoe selection was rather… lacking. I see better selections of New Balance at larger shoe stores. I did notice they were trying to show the other products New Balance makes besides shoes and that was rather nice to see. But I’d expect New Balance to carry their full line at a dedicated store. If not the full line then a lot more then they had. Running shoes were a plenty, cross training were lacking, and the other styles were non-existent. Overall with spending as much time in the store as I did without one employee(I want to say there were 2 or 3 and all helping someone, I was the only customer without an employee helping me) saying even hello and the lack of shoe selection I have to say this was a wash. I know I will not be back and will not recommend this store to anyone else. I don’t like giving out 1 star reviews but this is a time I feel it needs to have it. But on a positive side the store was clean, the lighting was nice, and it did look appealing. Too bad I had such a bad experience.

I have always enjoyed New Balance tennis shoes. I have another brand that I wear to the gym and they look like a gym shoe. Getting ready for a vacation, I needed a tennis shoe that would look more fashion forward then like I was headed to the gym. When I entered the store, a young lady greeted me promptly and I told her what my needs were. She totally understood and showed me a couple that would fit my needs. I selected a simple white on white walking shoe. To give my new shoes an extra kick, I bought a bundle of bright colored ankle socks and a couple different colored laces to add color to the white shoes. I’m going to be doing a lot of walking on this vacation, so these new shoes are going to be a great addition to my wardrobe. I now have Happy Feet. All the associates at New Balance are well trained and certified in selecting the appropriate size shoe for their customers. I am pleased with my new walking shoes and I am making sure I’ve got them broken in before leaving town. A bonus of shopping at his location is there is an Orange Leaf next door, so when you are done buying new shoes you can have some FroYo.

I needed a new pair of gym shoes, and have heard for years that New Balance offers services to better fit you for a pair of shoes. So off I went. At first, I felt out of place. Similar to walking into an Apple store with an Android phone, everyone in the NB store already was wearing NB shoes. Wearing in my old Adidas felt awkward. I was quickly greeted by Nate, a sales associate. He was awesome. He took foot measurements, a scan of my foot to identify pressure points, and asked a bunch of questions on my activities. The shoe he recommended for me was a cross-trainer. It reminded me of something that my grandpa would wear. Big, clunky, & white. I gave him the luxury of trying it on… and it felt really good… until I looked down or saw myself in the mirror. I had to get those things off as fast as possible. I knew it was probably the right shoe for fit… but it offered no aesthetic value at all. I did amire though that the shoe he recommended was the cheapest… I knew he was actually trying to get me in the right pair… not make the most money. I pointed out to Nate the red running shoes that I thought looked best. He said that those were the worst shoes for me, but obliged to let me try them on as well as a bunch of other options. This store offers a limited line of shoes. Really there are only a few dozen different models. I’m not sure if the other NB stores in the area offer a wider selection. But they will work hard to find you the shoe you want. They called around to the other stores for my size, once I decided on a pair. All in all, I left with an understanding of my foot structure, a cool looking pair of shoes, and a salesperson that I would love to work with again when I return.

I’ve had some foot problems on and off for the last 5 years and this is the only place, locally, I’ll get my shoes. The staff here is never in a rush to get you out and actually listens to you and pay attention to your needs. the only downside to this store is that they seem to have a pretty limited inventory of sized. Twice i have been here and was told they did not have my size(10D mens), which seem pretty common.
