This is the spot for me when it comes to good bbq, nothing better(except maybe at home. maybe). It’s a lunch stop for me, one I don’t make often enough. I’ve worked my way through most of the menu and everything has been top notch, great flavors, cooked right. The staff are always friendly, service is always fast. If you’re in the area, this is a must try.

It had been far too long since Ms T and I had lunch at Ms Piggies. We really do like the place. It has the feel of a family run place and I think their ability to run it has improved over time. Service is good and the food is consistent. This is honest local barbecue, nothing fancy or trendy. It seems like you are eating what the family would make for themselves. I have long said that St Louis does not really have a barbecue style, but if it does, this is probably what it looks like. I ordered a half rack with green beans and slaw. They are still serving untrimmed spare ribs. I like to order the sauce on the side. They make a good local style sauce but the ribs do not need it. They have a good rub with appropriate salt but not overdone. They are reasonably smoky and cooked done without becoming much. My half rack was three times as much as I needed for lunch, but now I have leftovers. The green beans are seasoned with a little onion and the slaw I thought had been improved, maybe not as sweet and overdressed. Or maybe it is just some variability. On this day, the slaw was clearly made the day before and stored. My recommendation would be to make less at a time and dress it daily. They could have the dressing made up and even extra shredded vegetables. It just suffers from being dressed a day in advance. Never mind, it is a minor comment and certainly would not apply every day. I added Crystal to mine and ate it all. Ms T went for a pulled chicken sandwich. It was delicately smoked chicken breast topped with some sauce and served on a hoagie roll. The serving was generous and more than half came home with us. We agreed that we like Ms Piggies. It is just not a place that we are likely to make the considerable drive to for a quick lunch. On this day, we were in the neighborhood and were happy to return. It remains a solid, friendly place for some St Louis barbecue. I really need to try a pork steak next time.

We went here looking for ribs and wow did we get them. They were delicious! All the sides were so yummy too. We had the full rack wet with green beans, collards, and two of the fried corn on the cobs. I highly recommend this place as I think they have the best ribs I’ve had! Also very reasonably priced. Happy, happy, happy!

When you first pull up, doesn’t look like much. Go on in though, be welcomed by friendly face to a small Bbq joint. My wife and I had full rack of ribs with 4 sides for a mir $ 23. The ribs were fall off the bone and delicious. The sauce flavorful, and the fried corn on the cob sinful. Green beans and collards all very very good. Best dinner we have had in St Louis over the last week, and will be hard to beat.

Ok so here’s the thing, I moved to St Louis for work and alot of my coworkers said Pork Steaks is a must try for this region soo… I had to find a place and opportunity to try it. Once in a while my work orders catering from Ms. Piggies and oh wow… They never disappoint. I would have to say Pork Steaks and corn bread is a must! The Pork Steak will not disappoint, tender, moist, good BBQ sauce, and I can cut thru it with a Plastic Fork… PLASTIC Fork! Dining-In is a good option too, don’t care about décor because you will be focused on your food coma after a Pork Shoe

This place is hands down the best BBQ I have found in STL in literally YEARS. Ever since the dry smoked meat trend hijacked REALBBQ in this City I have been searching to no avail for a spot just like Ms. Piggy’s. Not only was my TOGOBBQ chicken dinner perfect & still delicious after an hour long commute home(I live in SoCo and had to return a video on the way home) but it was as good as if I had eaten it in the restaurant. I attribute this to their superb packing of my meal. Someone in the kitchen really put some thought into CAREFULLYPACKING it with care and I so appreciate that. Their sauce is the best BBQ sauce I have tasted — seriously get extra because you will want to slather it on your toast(and everything else) the next day. The chicken was tender and moist and literally fell off the bone. I will definitely try their Sunday buffet. But I see myself being a regular at Ms. Piggy’s. How have I not known about this place for the 17 years they have been open?! If you appreciate REALBBQ that is coated in a delicious sauce and cooked to tender perfection you will LOVE Ms. Piggy’s. Note: they also offer their BBQ«dry» for all you freaks out there who don’t understand what REALBBQ is but WHY? Why would you eat it that way? That’s called SMOKEDMEAT — NOTBBQ. ****End of Rant of how STL has ruined REALBBQ***** Go to Ms. Piggy’s! You won’t regret it. It doesn’t have the hour long lines like other inferior so-called BBQ places in STL and they are super sweet — just like their sauce!

Don’t advertise that you offer delivery if you aren’t staffed for it. Not a great business practice.

Great Southern BBQ spot. The Sunday buffet was well worth the $ 13. Jazz bring played. was a cool touch. All the the food was great.

Pretty much A-OK. Not the greatest BBQ but definitely going to have to contemplate whether or not to come here if someone asks to go. Their BBQ sauce in itself was just not very good.(We got it on the side and started dipping our meats into it) At least, for me, I just wasn’t a fan. It was tangy and sweet with a weird after taste, but maybe I’m just not used to it and other people like it. The fries were good, the rib tips were good, the ribs were alright, the sausage was very mediocre, the cornbread was not very good. Unfortunately there are just too many other good BBQ joints in St Louis

Honestly the very best smoked chicken wings I’ve ever had. I love this place. Today was my first visit, but I’m going to be their newest regular! Super nice people, great value! A smokey gem in our city!

Pretty good BBQ I would have to admit. It looks entirely family run, and it’s not a big establishment, so it’s almost like you’re eating at someone’s house. I got the combo, and got to try the ribs, pork, and brisket, and loved every bit of it. Baked beans and potato salad did not disappoint either. The BBQ sauce was on the sweet side, but I warmed up to it quickly. They also have the dry rub bottled and on sale for $ 7.59 behind the register. The only downside is that they do not have alcohol.

Oh hells yeah! I give this place 5 stars solely on the rib tips, they melted in my mouth and you get a HUGE serving with 2 big ass scoops of sides for less than $ 10. I don’t even care that they were out of brisket and pulled pork(which was what I originally wanted). I got my order to go but if I had dined in, I would have had to stand up and applaud everyone in the kitchen. (The place is easy to miss, turn into the shopping center right after you pass walgreens.) It’s been way too long since I’ve had BBQ that made me feel this euphoric.

Currently sitting here in regret. I love Bar-B-Q and I’m really not a picky eater, but my experience is less than desirable. Pulled pork sandwich came out sloppy to where I had to ask for a new bun. Waitress looked at me so I had to explain why and then there was no apology. If you want Bar-B-Q in the area, take the time to drive a little further to Sugar Fire on Olive. Disappointing.

Showed up as Miss Piggy’s for the first time in 8 months. Unfortunately it was at lunch time. Had to wait a little less than an hour for two carry out pork the steaks. The pork was just as good as last time, I just thought it was kind of long to wait for 2 pork steaks and for not being that crowded.

This was our first visit to St. Louis, and after a long day of seeing the sights, we were tired and very hungry. My husband wanted BBQ and our GPS pointed us to Ms. Piggies. It didn’t look all that promising from the outside(it’s located in a nondescript, small, strip mall next to a Halal meat market), but once we walked in the door, I knew we’d stumbled across a real gem. The cooking smells, in a word, were Heavenly. Our waiter appeared to be working alone during a busy time but he was very friendly, prompt and courteous. The menu features a lot of choices. I ordered the 2 meat combo with shredded chicken breast and rib ends. I can honestly say the BBQ ranks right up there with some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had, and portion sizes were generous(too generous, I couldn’t finish). They also get bonus points for having some of the best sweet tea outside of the Deep South. If you love good BBQ and appreciate friendly service, you definitely want to give Ms. Piggie’s a try. Don’t let the unassuming appearance of this place put you off — the food is top notch.

Character in a strip mall BBQ joint! Definitely will be back on a Sunday for the $ 12.99 drink included buffet I liked the food, but didn’t love all the food. People were nice. Having a guy play electronic piano for tips in the corner on a Monday… Was nice, but ? Breakdown of the food –Jumbo pork steak was well cooked & I asked for sauce… Only available sweet thick sauce was applied post cooking(my pork steak preference is not as sweet sauce cooked on) –Cornbread shared from my friend was moist & excellent –Deep-fried corn the cob was great –The baked beans were too sweet with too little seasoning for me With drink & tax we each payed $ 15+ each for lunch. I tipped $ 3, but not sure if she was a very helpful counter person looking for tips or a actual waitress. Next time I will follow Allan C recommendation to get the sauce on the side If this was my place… I would create a smokey & a spicy sauce as options to the original.

This place rocks in an unpretentious, old school, down home kinda way. Do you like going to places that have a bunch of different sauces to sample? If so, you should probably go to one of those places instead. Do you like going to places that are thoughtfully decorated in order to get the feeling that you’re in a «real» bbq place? If so, you should probably go to one of those places instead. Do you like seeing pictures of famous people who have dined at a bbq place so that you’re sure you’re having a bbq experience? If so, you should probably go to one of those places instead. On the other hand… Do you like going to places where the smell of smouldering hickory hits you as soon as you open the door? Do you appreciate smoked pig that is so tender and juicy that sauce is an afterthought? Do you appreciate a meal so good that you honesty can’t recall what the hell was on the walls? If so… you need to get in here! I had a pulled pork sandwich with a side of fried okra. The sandwich was absolutely everything I try to create when I smoke pork at home. Juicy, tender, picked clean of large chunks of fat, smoky and delicious. I didn’t get the chance to ask but I’m pretty sure they make their fried okra from scratch. The lack of uniformity was what tipped me off. It was also really good. To be sure, this isn’t the same bbq experience you’ll find a few miles away at Sugarfire but it is fantastic in it’s own right. I love Sugarfire and now I love this place also — they are just two completely different interpretations of one of my favorite types of food.

I came here again to see if my first review still holds up. I again had the pork steak and it was still tender and had a mild heat to the sauce. I did not try the potato salad this trip but the coleslaw was still as good as I remembered it. The service is somewhat lacking but the food will make up for the lack of service. The other thing that stood out was the lack of customers. They really deserve to be busy.
