Love, love love this place. The fajitas are filling, enchiladas nicely presented but crazy as it may sound from a Mexican restaurant I can’t get enough of their hot wings. The first order I allowed them to make them as usual and the spicy hot sauce almost killed me.(I am a punk with anything too hot) Next go around I asked for light sauce and I was a happy camper. Why are the wings so important you may ask? I’m gluten free and have never had any issues and haven’t had wings unless I made them at home. Don’t forget to try the margaritas. They make crazy work days go away. Give this family business a try. I promise you won’t regret it.

I recommend the Fajita Supremo! It was great! Steak chicken seasonal veggies tortillas rice beans pico guacamole sour cream and chips and salsa for $ 11 bucks! Margaritas are not all that but I just had the basic one. Interior is not bad. The place was clean. The staff is friendly. 4 stars!

One star for courteous and friendly service. The food was not good. I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas and two hard tacos. The meats in both entrées were extremely overcooked, dry and tough like beef jerky, though lacking the flavor. The bell peppers and onions were undercooked, almost raw. The tortillas were not fresh, tough and chewy. I went in about 7:30 on a Wednesday evening. They only had two parties in the restaurant, so it’s not like they were busy and I could chalk it up to that. The reviews I read were really good and the restaurant had 4 ½ stars, so my wife and I were excited to try it out. We’re both disappointed. Fajitas and tacos are the most basic dishes and they epically failed.

AWESOME!!! If you really like Mexican food, you have to come here. It’s a family run place, that is a great place to bring the family to, ok so bear with me, I’m gonna say awesome a lot. Starting with the chips and salsa. they bring you some as soon as you sit down, you’re not waiting for anything here, very awesome service, now back to the salsa which is made fresh in house, to me is the best I’ve ever had, and I really like to eat. You know I could sit here and try to recommend just 1 or 2 things, but I gotta tell ya I’ve had most everything on the menu and it’s all awesome! Did I mention I like to eat, the portions are huge, and for a great price, AWESOME! Come see for yourself I promise you won’t be disappointed.

The food looked amazing, but after a rather long conversation with a girl who was obviously family, I decided to steer clear as this young lady was unprofessional, less than intelligent and Impolite. Nothing wrong with a family business and when it comes to ethnic food, I prefer it, but you have to provide professional, courteous service and these folks did not.

This place is just ok, but the staff and service was great. You can tell that they have a lot of regulars because you could hear the servers conversations with there tables and some servers where sitting down at some tables. When we first got there and sat, I could smell dirty dish water. I think the table was smelling of it. The bartender was friendly and asked us if we had just come from the cards game, which we did being in our cards gear and all. Come to find out he was also going to be our server. I ordered the beef chimichanga and my husband he a chicken skillet. Mine was ok, the beef had a great flavor, but I have had better. The chicken dish was better it had a great grilled flavor. The chips and salsa where good, a young guy came around with a pitcher to see if we wanted a refill. Not sure if I would go back, but all in all an ok visit.

Cherokee was too busy this past weekend, so we decided to drive a bit further and head to Mariachi’s. We were greeted enthusiatically by what we thought was the bartender… but after dining, I realized that all the waiters make their own bar drinks, so really everyone serving is a bartender. The booth was stinky… like a dirty dish rag, or dirty mop water. It was pretty bad. But the service was friendly and we were hungry so we got past it. The burritos here are very big. My wife ordered one with beef… it was ok… pretty simple. But the value is the winner, as she had enough for another meal the next day. I tried the Pollo Ranchero dish, which were chicken fajitas in a sauce smothered in cheese. I thought mine was better than hers… but as in every instance eating Mexican, I had grosley overdone the compelmentary chips and salsa and barely could get halfway done with my entre. Food was ok… service was good, ambiance was stinky… not really all that traditional.

Decided to come here because my mom loves Mexican food, and has been bugging me to take her. So we were willing to try drinks. I ordered the strawberry margarita and my mom the strawberry daiquiri frozen. I tried her drink and liked it. I wasn’t a fan of my drink because I forgot to ask for frozen. Owell. Next I wasn’t a fan of the salsa because it was chunky. I love a smooth pureed salsa. I asked the server if they offered a smoother salsa, he said Yea, but he brought me taco sauce, wtf. I asked him, this is salsa?. He claimed it was. But I’m not buying it. So for my entrée I decided on Carne Asada. It was delicious, the steak had the perfect grill marks on it. The refried beans had to be the best part of the whole meal. The rice was a little dry. The whole meal lacked a little seasoning, But overall the meal was okay. My mom wasn’t impressed by her tamale, the pork had a odd sweet taste, wasn’t made like a traditional tamale. The enchilada was good n cheesy, but was made with a white flour tortilla in stead of a corn tortilla. Not quite sure how we fill about it yet, we’re willing to give them another try.

Great service and neat Mexican in St Louis. Large portions. Even though there was only one server he was awesome.

First timer today. Ordered the Cadillac Margarita and Steak Fajita Nachos to start… Outfrigginstanding!!! One of the best Margaritas I’ve ever had and then I had another one! I then had a Burrito Suizo and it was so so good! I highly recommend to anybody to give this place a try!

So I admit, I am usually hesitant about reviews from those with a single negative review however I have to give Joe C, some credit about his review about the«margaritas». During a recent visit, I ordered a small frozen strawberry margarita for $ 4.50, luckily I was seated close enough to the bar to see the bartender mix my drink, and I am pretty sure I saw the same«concentrated mix» being poured into my drink after the strawberries. While I cannot say for certain, it is my opinion that my drink contained no alcohol. I have read reviews from others praising the Cadillac Margarita, which are more expensive however I did not notice anywhere on the menu where it labeled the«cheaper» options as virgin margaritas otherwise I would have just went to 7 – 11 and gotten a Strawberry Slurpee instead. Aside from that I will say that the service was good, as was the food. For my entrée, I ordered the Steak Chimichanga which full of tasty steak and a huge portion at a reasonable value, I even ended up taking home half of it for lunch the next day. Prices were fair and reasonable however I cannot help but feeling a little bit burned by my margarita experience. Food here was good, however my advice is to skip the margaritas unless you are sitting at the bar watching your drink being made.

Love, love love Mariachi’s! Their grilled chicken and steak is fabulous in anything! My favorite is the burrito suizo with the chicken, but lately the green sauce has been a bit too spicy for me so I’ve been going with their soft tacos with steak. I also love their margaritas — I’m not sure what people are complaining about with the alcohol. They always pack quite a punch with me and I get just the regular, not the Cadillac. Heck, I’ve even been there on a slow afternoon and watched them mix up a batch. They do pour out of the jug, but before that they empty the mix and several bottles of alcohol into a big bucket, mix it up, and then put it back into the jugs. The alcohol is very much there folks. :)

i won’t be back. The food was okay the issue was the«margaritas» that we bought. We were given a concentrated margarita mixer poured out of a jug. Our drinks contained no alcohol. When we asked we were told that the mixer already contained alcohol. This is not true. If you order any margarita besides the Cadillac margarita you are only drinking the mixer which is Mayson’s margarita mix.

I had a lot of(read: way too much) delicious food on my last trip to St. Louis, but the title for favorite meal goes to Mariachi’s II. Mariachi’s II has some great Mexican food. I ordered the Fajita Burrito with chicken. Looking at it on the menu, the price seemed a bit high for the burrito, but that was explained when the burrito came out and was easily twice the size of any ordinary burrito. It came out sizzling on a bed of tasty fajita veggies, and was amazing. The burrito ingredients were perfectly seasoned and cooked, and well distributed. I didn’t try the margaritas, but almost everyone at the restaurant seemed to have one, and they were huge! The service was great. Our chips and salsa were kept filled and the servers made sure that we had everything we needed. Definitely on my list of places to eat at again.

Margaritas are a must! I base my reviews of Mexican restaurants on the same couple of offerings. 1. The dips. We got guacamole and cheese dip. The cheese dip was good, same as most. The guacamole didn’t taste fresh, probably would avoid getting again. 2. The margaritas. The Cadillac margarita was awesome and I would go back just for it! 3. Food. My hubby got the fajita burrito. The veggies were fresh and that thing was giant — it was two good sized meals for him. I got the chile relleno and chimichanga. I always get chile rellenos — this one was decent but not special. The chimichanga was really good. 4. Service. Excellent service! I was really impressed. The only other thing I might look for at Mexican restaurants is horchata — they don’t have it. Check it out for happy hour or dinner. We will go again.
