Bottom Line: Memorable Meat Ravioli and Meat Sauce, Retail Location Could Be More Convenient, Saint Louis Legacy Products: Maria and Son frozen food products, historically, were Italian pasta products, as I recall, however, recently, they also sell Asian items, like crab rangoon. Personally, I was raised on the beef ravioli and meat sauce. The flavor is quite distinct. Back in the 80s, the products were sold at Shop N’ Save in South County. I do not believe that is still the case, however, I may be mistaken. By the way, as an aside, I recall an Asian lady at Maria and Son recanting to me a story about her crab rangoon. She mentioned how August Busch the IV really liked her crab rangoon. So much so, that he ordered a large quantity for some event at a country club. Location: The store front is situated on a corner along busy Chippewa. If you intend to make your way there, just be aware that you will have to do some fancy parallel parking. One thought is to call ahead and see if the folks in the store might be willing to run the items out to your car. Just a thought. I also believe the company kitchen is located at this location. Where to Buy: Besides this store, I was told by a fellow Unilocal user, Lauren K, that you can find Maria and Son products at Herrell’s Market in Imperial, MO. If you know of other retail locations of Maria and Son products, please let me know, and I will update this review.
