Luckys’ Restaurant & Lounge – Carondelet

How lucky is the Patch neighborhood, to have Lucky’s in their hood? I’d say pretty damn, lucky. Lucky’s is a great place to belly up to the bar and enjoy a cold beer and burger. I like that the bar is vintage it is all the old natural wood, so warm and inviting. It’s a true neighborhood bar. Can’t wait for the good weather to return, so I can enjoy the patio.
I was torn on what to order for my dinner, but when you have a burger named, «Burger from Hell» I can’t resist. I love jalapeños on my burgers and Pepper Jack cheese is my favorite and this burger had them both. It also had, sautéed onions, Cheddar cheese, Hot Sauce and was served between a toasted Kaiser Roll. I had them hold the Cheddar and the burger was still heart warming, or should I say heart burning wonderful. I can alway tell when something is spicy enough, when little beads of sweat appear on my forehead.
As my side, I choose Steak Fries and Lucky’s serves them huge. To me these were more like wedges, but nonetheless they were awesome. They were seasoned well, not just with salt. Mentioning salt, being one who watches my salt intake, I did not feel that their food was overly salted as mentioned in previous review. I only got about 8 fries, but due to their largeness it was the perfect portion.
I’ll be returning to Lucky’s to try their Roasted Chicken Wings and of course their Fried Chicken Dinner — I’ve heard it is a winner, winner.

I was very excited to have a new restaurant close to my home– I’ve heard Lucky’s advertised on the radio for years, but the other locations have been a little too far away for me. We came in for lunch on a weekend. Not very busy. We found a place at the bar to sit. They have a lot of TVs showing all the games. The place was very clean.
Ordered the chicken lettuce wraps– very generous portion with lots of large chicken breast pieces. Soooo salty. The salt really overpowers the Asian BBQy taste I think they were going for. The chicken is served with 5 limp lettuce leaves. Would not order again– could not even finish half of the order.
Ordered the French onion soup. It was good, not great. Salty, but not unbearable. Good melty cheese over a crunchy French bread croûton!
Ordered the baked wings– they are not «hot» wings. They were huge! with fall-​off-​the-​bone tender meat and very well-​seasoned. They come with one free dipping sauce. We tried the BBQ ranch and then also added bleu cheese. Would order again.
Not planning on going back, since food was mediocre. Bartender was friendly (and super pretty), but she talked to another coworker sitting at the bar the entire time we were there, and more annoyingly, while we waited for our check.

Cold beer, great food and really good wings!!! Along with the great staff is what makes this a great place to shoot Pool, play Darts or come and watch the big game.

I am lightly affiliated with Luckys. Not enough so to care whether they succeed or fail. I also am admittedly a cheap ass. That being said I have thus far tried roughly half of the menu. This implies that my penny pinching (you’re not taking a shower… It’s too expensive, take a bath) self has found it good enough both in service and (especially) food quality to spend money here. A few favorites are the Redbird, the loaded steak fries, the pretzel sticks, and the black and bleu burger. Honestly the place is pretty killer. The service is top notch, the blond and redhead downstairs never fail to impress. Complaints: lighting! I often drive by and it looks closed, light the foyer or out front of the establishment. They should employ me as a taste tester… Seriously they don’t brew tea so how do they know if it’s good or skunk? Encourage mobility throughout the place, I have never been upstairs, didn’t even know there was upstairs until going in several times.

They had good food but after our second experience here we will not be returning. We came to watch the football game but the tables in the back where we were sitting did not have the game on. We asked our waitress to turn on the tv, but she claimed they didn’t know how to and they would work on it. The game was never turned on. We both wanted to order steak fries but they said they ran out and did not have any. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and he ordered a blackened chicken sandwich. When our sandwiches came out, they were on toast instead of on sandwich buns! Our waitress THEN informed us that they ran out of sandwich bread. The buffalo sauce on my sandwich was going through the bread making it very mushy, falling apart, and hard to eat. No one told us that we would be getting our sandwiches on toast or we would not have ordered them. Pretty poor experience the second time.

I ordered the Cowboy burger. It had beef, cheddar, bacon and Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce. The bun was soft, but the other toppings were indistinguishable. My dad got the Lucky’s wings, he said they were not at all spicy and he wished he had some hot sauce to add to them. It’s your basic bar food. It probably tastes better after you’ve had several drinks. I would not eat here again.

My husband and I went to Lucky’s tonight after seeing the reviews on here. He had the chicken dinner and I had the philly. The food was delicious! The bartender and waitress were very friendly. After eating we went upstairs where karaōke was going on. It was a nice atmosphere. Loved that they had pool tables and darts also. We will definitely be back again. The only thing we wish they had was a drink menu. We’re not big drinkers so it would have been nice to be able to pick out a drink from that. Other than that everything was excellent.

A new neighborhood bar with a nice atmosphere. We only had a few drinks but the bartender wAs very charming and engaging. He wanted us to do the karaōke upstairs but maybe next time when we come in with a big group. We will be back to support the locals.

Great new Carondelet/​Patch neighborhood bar located just a block from Ferraro Pizza and Stacked burger bar. It’s large, clean and has surprisingly good food for a bar. The upstairs bar has two pool tables and entertainment such as trivia, bands and karaōke. My favorite part is the cheap drinks. Rum & diet is $ 2.50! Gotta love that! Nice owners, as well.

Love the food, the staff, and of course the drinks! Portions are large so come hungry!!! Did I mention they have great happy hour specials 7 days a week

The wife and i went in on saturday for dinner. I ordered the ranchero sandwich and my wife ordered the catfish platter. I wouldn’t say the food was good. I would say it was excellent! Both owners happened to be there and not only checked to see how we were doing but were very friendly and socially to us and all the other tables. Our server was very friendly and suggested we check out the upstairs. We walked up and were continually to be amazed at what they had done to place. Sat at the bar w John tje bartender and had a ton of laughes. Ended up sticking around and even doing some karaōke. Awesome experience

Awesome place, great atmosphere, amazing food, and service was excellent. I highly recommend this place to everyone, near or far. I will definitely be returning.

Food is great! Service is wonderful. Awesome 2 story place with pool tables and 2 bars.

I tried them for the first time yesterday and ordered takeout. I received the wrong order and was very disappointed. 1 star for food. Then I called them, not only did they deliver the correct item to my front door. They also gave me a $ 10 gift card. Five stars for service one star for food because the original order was incorrect.
I plan to try them again today I understand it’s a new restaurant and they are kind of working things out.
Based on the service I have very high hopes
Well I’m glad I gave this establishment a 2^nd chance!!! Awesome fried chicken and the best French onion soup outside of a fine dining restaurant.

Great place with great people! Not too bad of a drive from St. Peter’s or St Charles! Pretty large menu with some of the best food around and the cooks are just awesome! Great place to come to grab a quick bite or drink or just to come hang out and play pool or shoot darts! Will definitely be recommending this place to friends, family, and co workers!
