Love this place, but no one’s answering the phone today, Wed 3/23/2016…I hope they’re not out of business called the next day and got an answer, they said they would be open through the week! Must have been an aberration. Hope to go this weekend… maybe tonight… I will report if it is still awesome…

Spring rolls = yes, more please. The sauce was more sweet than peanuty, not typical, but I thought it was well done. Bun bo hue = overly salty but glad to see pig hocks and blood cubes = the things they leave out at other places to not scare white people. Phở dac biet = a bit on the sweet side, but i would agree with other people that it’s the best phở i’ve had in STL. Went on a friday night, so very surprised that we were the only table while we were there, but this seems common in STL. I would definitely go back :)

Our new favorite for phở. The restaurant is across the street from Truc Lam, which is another good option for Vietnamese. We prefer Linh Mi Gia, however. It’s our new favorite, and we’ve been returning here instead of Mai Lee lately. The phở broth is bursting with flavor. It is fairly oily, but the oil comes from the fat and bone used to brew the phở. The meats are tender, fresh, and flavorful. I usually go with tai, and she likes the tai bo vien. The meatballs are similar to Mai Lee’s and taste about the same. The rice noodles and included ingredients of fresh sprouts, basil, cilantro, and hoisin are fairly standard. The garlic wings taste great but are too highly breaded and fried for my liking. A lightly breaded or non-breaded option would be preferable. If you like breaded wings, definitely try these. The Banh mi is hit or miss, but usually goes great with the phở. We’re liking the pork sandwich the most. If you are tired of the lines and high prices at Mai Lee, give Linh Mi Gia a try. We haven’t tried any of the noodle dishes yet for comparison, but the phở alone is worth the trip.

This place is average! I’m writing my review based on my first time being here and it was recently. Whenever my mom and I entered the restaurant, we weren’t really greeted. We sat down and the waitress brought us over our menus. She seemed like she was able to speak english 100%(and vietnamese too) so she should have no problem communicating. The problem is my mom and I speak both languages fluently and she had zero communication with us! it’s like she didn’t want to be there. We saw her when she gave us menus, took our order, and that’s pretty much it. We finished our food and waited 10 mins for our bill. she gave everyone else their bills but not ours, we had to go up to the counter for it. Food wise… my mom order banh mi dac biet, she it was really good! very flavorful! And bread is fresh and crunchy. it was super delicious. she thought about ordering a few to take home if our waitress had came back. i ordered the com dac biet which was ok! The pork was very flavorful but way too much cartilage! i’ve never seen a pork chop that had more bone and cartilage ever! I hope that’s what it was… it also looked like that had fried my egg and pork so much that it left a huge puddle of fat/oil(see pic)! So disgusting! the cha(vietnamese egg cake) was so skimpy! i’ve never seen a vietnamese restaurant that gives a little wedge of cha! how disappointing! that also wasn’t good! There was something new that I’ve never had in com dac biet, it was shrimp wrapped in bean curd. it was ok! the pickled veggies were super good! one of the best i’ve ever had at any other place! overall, i may give this place another try… not anytime soon. i thought it was a little overpriced compared to many other vietnamese restaurants in the area. my mom and i were originally going to go to kim ngan but they were closed due to remodeling… at least i hope that’s what they’re doing!

The food and prices are pretty good. I got the spring rolls in the vegetarian vermicelli. The spring rolls were ok. I’ve definitely had much better spring rolls other places. The vermicelli was excellent. I requested the vegetarian one, and they added lots of extra delicious veggies. They also have a house made spicy sauce which was amazing! It’s a family owned and run business which makes it feel so much more cozy and authentic. The service and cleanliness are also very good.

I come here mainly for the Phở, it’s very good and has a good taste. I’ve tried others and this place is the best. The workers are also very friendly.

Linh Mi Gia is probably my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in St. Louis. I’ve tried many other phở restaurants in the area and Linh Mi Gia’s phở broth has the best flavor and the portion size is great for the price. The wonton noodle soup is also great! Additionally I would recommend the Banh Mi that’s only $ 4. Actually, anything on the menu would be great. The food is fresh tasting and satisfies my craving for viet food so anything would be a good choice. The only negative to the food is that it tastes like it might contain MSG(probably why the food is so delicious and addicting). The phở does run a little oily, but still has the best flavor in the STL area. This place is my #1 choice anytime I have a craving for Asian food.

Had the garlic butter chicken wings and I must say, those are delicious. I loved the taste of them. They were flavorful and freshly made. These wings were super yummy. For lunch I tried a sandwich. I decided on chicken because chicken is always good. It was very flavorful, until I hit the jalopeno. I’m not a fan of them and wished I was told about it before I ate it. I was sure to remove the next one and loved the rest of the sandwich. The décor is what it is. It’s nothing amazing and there is a fish tank at the front, which I thought was odd. Overall food was good.

Yum! Grilled pork was smothered in maple syrup. Oxtail phở was devoured by the boy & hubs had chicken wings pan fried in fish sauce. Spring rolls were superb and had one extra herb that I’m still trying to place.

Wow. This was my first visit and I will definitely be back soon. We came with three people and ordered a lot of food. We had the pork and shrimp spring rolls they were tasty but we also had the crispy pork spring rolls and they were amazing! We also tried the chicken wings an like others have said they were great. I had a beef and noodle bowl that was full of flavor and very fresh. My one friend had the duck witch he really enjoyed. My other friend had the combination fried rice and soup. Everyone enjoyed and we were so full and still had a meal to bring home for later. Everyone working was so friendly.

Like a few other reviewers have said, the garlic butter chicken wings are the stand-out here. Don’t picture little bite-sized happy hour wings, these are good-sized pieces of deliciously fried chicken, so plan on sharing them. The banh mi here is pretty good but not my favorite, but the soups are also very tasty.

+ Bun bo hue. YUM + Tasty tasty hangover/sick person sustenance + Restaurant is clean, service is good + Parking lot Phuc Loi 2.0 aka Linh Mi Gia has undergone a serious upgrade. Ever since the restaurant changed ownership, not only did the griminess of the place seem to disappear but the hole-in-the-wall food became that much more hole-in-the-wall GOOD. The BUNBOHUE here is top-notch, amongst the best in STL. It’s actually a good degree of spicy and contains the real stuff — blood cubes, pork knuckle, brisket, pork roll studded with peppercorns. And the generous heaping pile of accouterments — ramps, jalapeño slices, bean sprouts, lime. You will have the happy spicy sniffles and a full, happy belly with these generous portions. The phở is solid — good for your hangover/flu cure. Or just basic winter weary instant soup belly warmth.

Oh my wooooooord. The. Chicken. Wings. — They are amazing. These are garlic butter wings, plump and juicy with the most pinteresting coating, so airy yet crisp and crunchy, served with a splash of fresh cilantro — that I love because it’s not minced to bits that just get stuck in your chompers.

I really like this place. What sold me is the chicken wings. They’re amazing! Definitely the best I have ever had. Beyond that, the phở and spring rolls are good. Fairly priced, service is good too.

Phở here I felt had a better flavor compared to more popular restaurants in the area. The various options for phở were a step up compared to others and price was good. The broth unfortunately was on the oily side but service was fast and they were super attentive. It definitely satisfied a craving especially considering the limited phở places in the St Louis area. I would probably come back here again. Be warned it definitely is a little hole in the wall place. And may not be as aesthetically pleasing as most people would expect from a restaurant. But at least it’s good food!

I don’t recommend getting takeout here unless you’re a fan of strict portion control. I ordered a bahn mi and the pork and shrimp wonton noodle soup to go; the guy who took my order seemed a little grumpy even though I was the only customer at the time. The bahn mi was super wimpy and only had a small amount of pork slices and pâté. The ratio of meat to cilantro/jalapeño was way off and the bread did not taste fresh. The soup was also lacking in substance and full of MSG. I miss Phuc Loi.

The garlic, butter wings are as good as others have said. The broth in the phở was nicely flavored and the accompanied sprouts and herbs were fresh, but it contained the smallest portion of meat I’ve ever had at any vietnamese restaurant. I had the phở tai with tendon which had 3 – 4 small slices of beef and 4 tiny pieces of tendon that could fit on a quarter. I would be surprised if there was 1 once of meat in the bowl. The noodles were also clumpy and stuck together which I didn’t appreciate and seemed to point to careless preparation. I’ll go again based on the strength of the garlic wings. I’ll just not bother with the phở if the other menu items are anywhere near as good as the wings.

Wow, what an improvement! Not sure if there are new owners or just a remodel, but the restaurant looks fantastic, service was prompt and friendly, and the food was delicious… a wonderful surprise that shines in contrast to our experience here about half a year ago. Pricing is competitive with other Vietnamese restaurants in the area, and is definitely worth a try over the other better-known restaurants on Grand.
