Tiny coffee stand in Francis Park serving quality coffee drinks. Great option if you’re visiting the park. Short and sweet.

One of the best coffees I’ve had all year — the fact that it’s in the middle of a park and open until December makes this place the best coffee spot in south city. Such a unique concept for this city.

What a great addition to Francis Park this place is, truly! Met another mother and her child for an afterschool play date. It was chillier than we expected, so suggested we grab a coffee at Lanai. I had a special of the day which tasted like a Reece’s peanut butter cup in a cup, while my friend had a latte. The kids had a milk shake and s smoothie. All drinks were excellent, with good quality ingredients at a very reasonable price. We were able to sit at some nice tables they had outside. Overall, a great experience and we will be back!

How great to see a new business in Francis Park! It’s such a cute location. They had great seasonal drinks and good non-dairy milk options(almond and coconut).

You know what’s perfect for a nice fall morning? A nice hot cup of coffee and a walk around the beautiful Francis park! Thursday morning I met up with a friend of mine at Lanai because we had both heard great things about this little shop. I arrived a little earlier than she did so I ordered my coffee(the nutty hawaiian, with an extra shot of espresso), which was delicious and made small talk with the lady in the window. They have jazzy flavored drinks, but also make a very solid regular coffee and espresso. It’s nice that they offer rentals on athletic equipment. And make sure to look for the sign out front with the drink of the day written on it. Can’t wait to go back!

Love my neighborhood coffee stop. They have almond milk(unlike big coffee chains). Plus the personal service is waaay better here.

I absolutely love the concept of this coffee house set in the middle of Francis Park. The owners rehabbed an old stone building next to the tennis courts. The setting couldn’t be better! There is only outside seating but with the beautiful setting why would you want to sit inside? The staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve had two drinks here. Each was unique and interesting. I’m not sure I would order either again although the Moscow Hawaiian was refreshing. I enjoy the fact that they try to come up with different drinks than the usual at other coffee houses. I haven’t found the one drink from Lanai that I could say would bump this to a 5, but I am definitely going to keep trying! They also rent sports equipment for use in the park and offer pastries and other treats to eat. Worth your time to try this St. Louis Hills hidden gem!

I think the concept of a coffee house in the park is great but I worry how this is sustainable without having direct access by car. But hey what do I know, maybe it does great? Also there is a 25% off coupon for checking in here your first visit which is way more than most places give out. Look for the yellow umbrellas near the tennis courts and park on the street to get to it. Also the playground isn’t far from it either for you parents out there.

On a recent(very very hot) Sunday I was on mile 2 of a run when I started to just feel faint and in my rush to get out of my house, I had forgotten my water bottle. I needed to sit down and I needed to drink something — more than just at a drinking fountain. I was right by Lanai Coffee and got a cold drink. The woman at the counter was very nice and the service was quick. I sat down at the tables and rested a bit in the shade of the umbrella and enjoyed an iced chai tea. While sitting there a few other people walked up and got beverages before enjoying the rest of the park. Such a fantastic spot! I will certainly be back again and bring my kids to the playground or just plan to stop off after a run every once in a while. I wish every park had a Lanai Coffee shop.

Best coffee and beverage place and awesome service! I have been here twice and want to come back more. I live 30 minutes away, but that won’t stop me from seeing this place flourish from business from my friends and family. Love that it’s in Francis Park!

I love this locally owned coffee shop. The coffee is great. We love the smoothies, too. You really can’t go wrong. Plus you can bring your dog! You can’t do that with the chain coffee shops. You must check them out!

What a great place to have a little coffee shop, right in the park! I will be stopping by here often for some hot or iced coffees! I really enjoyed the Turtle Mocha I had.

A coffee shop next to a playground?!? Genius! It feels like Seattle in St. Louis! The place is small, so they’re limited in what they can sell and make. Prices are average(see menu photo) – not steep but not cheap. I wish I could give five stars but the latteI had was not great. The smoothie I bought for my kiddos was from a Torani syrup, blended with ice(still quality stuff made from real fruit, but not a fresh-fruit smoothie if that’s what you look for). The best part is the various Popsicles and ice creams that they sell. They sell for $ 1-$ 2 each, which is way cheaper than the ice cream truck and really a fun treat when you’re playing at the park with the kiddos. Overall, I’m happy this place is there and we will frequent the place because of the location.

A cute little coffee house in the park. Bring your hammocks and grab a drink. Can you think of a better way to relax? They have espresso and lattes, frappes and smoothies and the usual coffeehouse drinks along with some signature drinks, hot dogs and ice cream. If you bring your pup, they even have a treat for them. Good place to bring the family after a hard day of play.
