Groupon had a really good deal for this restaurant so I decided to give it a try. I came here a few nights ago and used the drive-thru(I was pleasantly surpised that they had a drive-thru by the way). It was dimly lit though so it was hard to read everything clearly. I ordered the beef cheeseburger and added avocado and fries. I was told through the intercom to get my total at the window. My price was a dollar more than i expected, but i still paid. While waiting for my food, I looked at the receipt and saw that i was charged $ 2 for the avocado instead of a dollar, which was posted on the drive-thru menu. When i was given my food a few minutes later, I mentioned it to the man working the window. He apologized and said that he thought that was posted on there, and informed me that the $ 1 is only for smaller items like tacos, not for larger items like the burger, but he thanked me for bringing it to his attention and said that they would correct that if it’s not posted. Now, although I hate nothing more than a bait-and-switch move and feeling like I’m being bamboozled, I must applaud this gentleman on how he handled the situation. People would be amazed at how many people in service industries point the finger at the customer in a situation like this. He apologized and thanked me and said they would fix it. That impressed me! Even though it’s only a dollar difference, i never want to feel like I’m being taken advantage of. *stepping off soap box now* Now to the food, the burger was good, well-seasoned, and well-prepared. The beef is kind of shredded instead of a traditional patty. The fries were fantastic and were handcut! I want to go again and get something less traditional. The menu is east meets southwest. Think Mexican food wth Asian flair. It’s unique. The restaurant looks small so don’t expect lots of seating. This place is good if you’re feeling adventurous and like trying experimental cuisine.

I wish we had one in Atlanta. Had the pork belly burrito and tofu soup. It was a fantastic meal.

Whether you’re ordering tacos, kimchi fried rice, or a quesadilla: Kim Cheese Spicy Pork is the way to go! When I first tried Kim Cheese, I ordered something and wasn’t that impressed, and so several months passed before I tried it again. But now that I’ve had their spicy pork, Kim Cheese is on my regular rotation. :D The staff here is nice and chill, and has your order ready to go usually just a few minutes after you order! My favorite is the kimchi fried rice. It doesn’t have a ton of vegetables, but it is tasty and comes with a fried egg(always a big selling point for me). I am not a huge fan of the tacos, mostly because the lettuce pieces are so big and flat. Maybe I am being picky, but having the lettuce shredded instead of in sheets would improve the texture a lot. In the mean time, I will stick to the kimchi fried rice.

Tried Kim Cheese today on the recommendation of another Unilocaler. And I absolutely loved it! I walked in and asked the person working there what I should try first and she recommended the tacos. I got three of them– spicy pork, steak, and the pork belly kimchi. I had them in that order. All three were in a really nice baked flour tortilla. Corn, pico and beans and cheese. The spicy pork was excellent! Not too spicy but enough of an enjoyable kick. Super flavorful. Next on to the steak. Korean BBQ steak– all I can say is that I noticed afterwards that I was involuntarily saying«mmmm» out loud. It’s a good thing I went at a quiet time. More on that later. Lastly, I tried the Pork Belly Kimchi. I didn’t know what to expect with this as my exposure to kimchi has been relatively limited. But wow, was that good. A little oily but amazing flavor. The pork was not too gooey which was a positive. I devoured it up. It did impact the flavor as I went back to finish up the other two tacos but that’s okay. I stopped in around 3pm and there was still about 8 – 10 people in here. I think that’s a great sign! I look forward to going back and trying the bowls, bip im bop and burritos!

Delicious, quick, great value and very casual atmosphere. This place needs to get a liquor license and then there will be no reason to go elsewhere. I had the spicy pork bib bim bop with the sauce mixed in and it was awesome. The flavors are well rounded — sweet, salty, spicy and the vegetables and greens make you feel like your mother would approve. Will be back to try everything else they have.

Made the drive to try this place. I guess it was a little more casual than what I expected. The inside is western replicated like a typical bbq place. The food was really good and my boys enjoyed it too. My biggest love was the Kim chi and the wings. We ordered the beef short ribs but I was under the impression I was getting beef short ribs and not that they were already de-boned ribs. The Korean flavors really peaked in the foods and they weren’t overpowering or too strong. One of the boys had a quesadilla but they really weren’t too keen on it. It may have been the Korean flavors mixed with cheese. I didn’t try the bee bim bap but was told it was really yummy. The dumplings were fried not pan fried so it was kind of a turn off. We will definitely be back but not unless we are in the area.

Went to the other location and did drive thru. I think this location has better tasting food. My son got the bee bim bap with spicy pork and the two potstickers. The two potstickers were $ 3 and of average size but very good. He enjoyed his meal but probably would just get the rice bowl next time. It’s the same just minus the veggies. I got my usual of three steak tacos. I tried the bee bim bap sauce which was good and that led me to try Mrs. Hongs spicy sauce or called something like that. This sauce is soooo freakin good! It’s a flavor bomb and I would eat anything with this sauce on top! Bumped my stars to five. Love this place!

Love this place! Prices are great and the food is very high quality. I got the bee bim bop with no rice and it was amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes fast healthy Asian food:)!

I paid my first visit to Kim Cheese the other day and quite enjoyed myself! I’ve fallen in love with tacos as of late thanks to Mission Taco. So I knew going in that I would go the taco route. Especially since you can do three different kinds in one order! I opted for the Brisket, Pork Belly and the Steak and a side of fries. The Pork Belly had a tiny bit of heat to it, the Steak tasted like sweet teriyaki and the brisket had a very mild flavor. As for the fries, they were a thicker cut, which kept them on the soft side(not crunchy). I tried dipping them in their teriyaki sauce and their Korean BBQ sauce. The BBQ was awesome! It was sweet, flavorful and had a touch of heat. Next time I go back, I’ll definitely do some more tacos!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile and will be back in the future. I got 3 tacos, the shrimp tempura, spicy pork and Kim che pork. Shrimp was tasty and the spicy pork was excellent. The Kim che pork taco I couldn’t taste the Kim che on it but I will be returning for more of the other two.

I absolutely love Kim Cheese! The bold mix of flavors they offer touches every offering on their menu and it couldn’t be tastier! Their bowls are my favorite item but I’ve yet to be disappointed by anything they have to offer. Engage with the owner and ask for recommendations if nothing jumps out at you on the menu, he’s always glad to offer suggestions. The dining room is roomy and well appointed with comfy booths for 4 – 6 people each. Come and try out this excellent local business and support our local restauranteurs!

Decided to stop in today on small business Saturday, I really like all of these foods figured I would give it a try, place was very quiet and it looked like only half of it was open, menu was a little overwhelming but as they say«variety is the spice of life» I had the steak burger and the cheese fries I was very pleased with the flavor, really my only gripe was that it was absolutely freezing, so pack your parka and head in for a great dinner.

Chipotle meets Korean. Its odd but tastes good. I’ve had the taco’s, burrito and quesadilla. All of them good with an asian twist. I would say its best quality is that its fresh. Good fresh ingrediants and not overly seasoned or pickled. I don’t feel like I’ve had a heavy greasy mexican meal after eating here. They have sirracha and few others sauces to try. All of them good. Give Kim Cheese a try I’m sure you’ll like it.

Yeah, no. I’m going to stick to the other location. Salsa wasn’t very good, not fresh. Girl who checked us out has poor customer service skills(might be because she’s young but still). Nice look but lacks in other departments. Overall, I liked the other location better. Update: Owner obviously keeps up with his customers and cares about his business, so that obviously earns another star.

My first time at this location but it certainly won’t be my last! I’ve eaten just about everything on the menu at their other location over about a score of visits in the last few years. Needless to say, I was excited to try this location but arrived after the family and didn’t get to try something new… oh well, I still love their spicy pork tacos and that was what I had for lunch today. Just as good as the other location which is to say they’re fantastic. I love the Korean influence/spice level and how juicy their pork is in the tacos. I also really like the mixture of vegetables they dress the tacos with and the juxtaposition of textures. Certainly a favorite. Why only 4 stars? Mainly because the layout of this location makes zero sense. The place is relatively long for its width and has a poorly maintained tropical fish tank right in front of you when you walk in. Hike to the counter to order. Hike back to get your food. Hike back yet again to throw away your trash. It seems like at least one of these could be eliminated if they replaced the fish tank with a service area to include another soda fountain and trash receptacles. Just a thought…

I love Korean food and I just moved to STL from CA, a mecca of Korean food. I’ve been missing Asian food so I wanted to try this place since I work around the corner. I wanted to try everything! The menu has a food truck feel to me — different and eclectic comfort food. I got the spicy pork quesadilla. SOGOOD! Messy but good. I can’t wait to go back and try something different!

I love how this restaurant works, order, pay, sit down, eat. It feels like fast food, without the bad connotations of fast food. I liked how much variety there is, perfect for the non-adventurous dinner companion. I really liked what I got, I had studied some of the pictures of other Unilocalers before we went and already knew what I wanted. I got the chicken rice bowl and the chicken had a lot of flavor to it. Great location next to the theater to have a reasonably priced choice for food before or after getting gouged at the movies :)

We come here all the time and it is always so good. This time we got the beef and spicy pork tacos. Definitely a must try, it is sooo good. This new location is really nice with plenty of seating. They also have some good iced tea. I really don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.
