Kelly Nails & Spa

This is my neighborhood nail salon and I really enjoy it. My pedicures last a few weeks, they give great foot massages and they are reasonably priced. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

My favorite nail salon!!! So very cute inside, amazing Gel powder dip Manicures, never too busy, and they give really long foot massages for the pedis. The husband and wife take great pride in their business and art and it does not go unnoticed!

Make sure you are dressed to impress when you come here. I threw some clothes on after work to get my nails done with a friend and made it in at 6, an hour before they closed. I walked in right before her and being a regular she was instantly greeted and taken to the back we were the only two customers there. I was ignored and stood up front for 10 minutes while one technician helped her and the other watched wheel of fortune. It took my friend to say something about me still standing up front for them to acknowledge me. I’m not sure if my appearance at the time contributed to their lack of service but this truly hurt my feelings and made me feel like less than. Unilocal wouldn’t let me give no stars but one star is being overly nice.

As a fellow member of the beauty industry, I know how frustrating it can be when someone walks in 15 min before closing. But I was in a pinch and needed a pedi before my weekend at the lake. There was only one employee left upfront and she couldn’t have been kinder.
Though I came right before close nothing about the process felt rushed. She was very thorough and the massage was wonderful and she actually used pressure! (sometimes hard to find).
The facilities are VERY updated and clean. The nail polish selection is great.
There is another salon walking distance from my house and I will be choosing Kelly’s over that one from now on. Can’t say enough great things about my visit

Been a few times. Never had a great experiance. They do a half-​ass job, and my nails are usually chipped a few days later. I do a better job at home. Looks nice inside, but there are better places.

Wham Bam Thank you Ma’am! That was my experience at Kelly Nails & Spa recently when I walked in for a shellac manicure. True, I was in a hurry. I had to get back to work as I was on my lunch hour. A little foreplay would be nice though. How are you? How is your day going? Do you live around here? Whats your favorite color? Nothing! It was the most robotic, assembly line experience I have had in a while (since middle school cafeteria lunches). Not even a massage or a cuddle after it was over!
My nails do look great though and I will come back… Because I guess every girl likes a quicky from time to time.

They can’t do nail art & they refused to give us new nail files so we left! They were using a dirty old nail file on my pregnant sister & when I requested they use a new one on her AND myself they got mad and said we could use the dirty one or leave! Really, you have no clean emery boards?! I don’t know the laws in MO but aren’t nail files supposed to be single use items?!

Nice place! Neat, clean, organized and cool. Lovely pedi. The salt scrub and lemon slices made me want a margarita. (Got one after.) Foot massage was fantastic. Staff was super friendly without a lot of awkward small talk. Will be back for sure.

The salon is very upscale, clean and in a great location. However my gel manicure didn’t even last a week before it was chipping. They didn’t do all the steps my normal nail salon does. Also, the color selection for gel manicures was slim. I would go elsewhere if in the same area again.

As the rating of two stars describes: meh, I’ve experienced better. There wasn’t anything wrong or bad at this salon, just nothing great either. The technicians were quiet, but friendly. I received a deluxe pedicure, and it did not seem worth the extra cash. My massage was mediocre and the whole process felt a little rushed. (The hot towel treatment was for about 30 seconds). The environment did seem very clean and professional. I just think you can get more for your money and a better experience elsewhere.

I’ve been hearing all about this whole Shelac gel manicure business from my gal pals and I pass this place on my way to Trader Joe’s every week (I know, I likes me some TJ’s). I read the 1 review and saw they do gel manicures. Sold.
So I made an appointment Saturday morning for that afternoon. Showed up to a clean bright establishment and was greeted by a pleasant woman who made me feel welcome. She brought me towards the nail bar to show me the gel colors, they have TONS! So many to chose from. I went with the pale pink because I love a natural look. She also informed me that when you chose a lighter color it’s harder to see the cuticle growth, thanks lady!
She starts to go to town shaping, filing, and buffering all the while chatting with me about the AMAZING St. Louis Cardinal World Series Victory the night before.
Another woman came in looking to get a fill.
Here is why Kelly’s Nail & Spa doesn’t get five stars, she had to double duty both of us. The only other man in the place, who finished me up, was absolutely charming. I just think they need more staff. Granted, somebody could’ve called in sick or is on vacation but it’s a Saturday afternoon, 5 women came in after me. What happens?
It doesn’t detract any from how much I love both of the employees that helped me. My nails look fabulous and the woman also did a killer job on my eyebrows! Only $ 9, now that’s a deal.
I will come back here for a long time. But call ahead for large groups to ensure enough staffing.

I have been going to this place for a couple years now and really like how they do nails. I think the thing that stood out to me the most the first time I went and since then every time I visit is that the clippers and other tools needed to do my nails are always sterilized and in sealed packages. They are taken out of the storage area and opened right in front of me. The spa is always clean and organized. They have a lot of polish to choose from. I have had a pedi, mani and have also had a chair massage while waiting for my nails to dry. They may have other services. but I have not inquired about them. I never feel like they are trying to sell me anything additional, just offer great service. They are always polite and never too busy, so I don’t have to wait very long and sometimes not at all.
Recently they have added a new gel manicure and I am a huge fan! This is not the old school gel wrap. This is actual gel, rather than polish and it lasts two weeks. I have had gel white tips and also a few colors and they have all lasted two weeks or longer. I cannot ever imagine going back to polish. In Jan 2011 there are about 35 gel colors available at the salon, so you should be able to find something you like :) I think the name of the gel is Nobility and each layer dries as it is applied, so when you walk out of the salon, you have no worries. Your nails are dry!
Parking is in the back of the building and you can enter through the back door, even though it may feel a bit odd. There are several back doors and they are not labeled, so it is the back door which is furthest west on the building.
