We were In St. Louis, were told that Imo’s == St. Louis pizza. We were actually in a vacation rental, in the south ‘burbs, and Imo’s on Reavis Barracks was right down the street. If you want a rating and want to move on: not worth it. It’s ironic that Unilocal delivered a Domino’s ad when I started to write my review, because I would have preferred Domino’s. We got toasted raviolis, mozzarella sticks, XL pepperoni pizza, and XL sausage & mushroom. The toasted raviolis were good, according to the ravioli lovers in our party. To me, the texture was good, but I didn’t like them too much. No real taste to like or dislike. Mozza sticks were … mozza sticks. I liked them, but they were more like mozza stubs because they were about an inch long. I think it was served with marinara sauce, but the sauce was uninspiring. I think the primary item that determines whether this pizza is good or not is the provel cheese. It seems to be a source of pride to St. Louisans. I saw another site that described the provel cheese on the pizza as something made up to be unique to St. Louis. I’m not a fan. So the pizzas — you like the extra-thin, extra-crispy crust, or you don’t. I don’t mind it. I prefer a little less thin, a little less crispy. This St. Louis crust isn’t a pie in my opinion, it’s more like a pizza cracker. Our pepperoni pizza was about ¼ inch thick. I’m not sure there was any pepperoni on it. I didn’t see any circular lumps. It might have been pepperoni paste, not sure. The sausage-mushroom was not bad. I think it would have been better with mozzarella, instead of the gooey, bland provel, and maybe with a regular crust. Not bad, but not exciting. Best thing about this Imo’s: we forgot to get anchovies on the side, so I went to buy some after we got the pizza. A buck got us quite a few anchovies. Service was non-committal, but competent. We won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend the St. Louis-style pizza, at least as served at this Imo’s. It was a 1-star experience to me, but I scored it two stars because it’s basically a matter of personal taste.

Pretty good place to eat! Taste has changed a bit from when I was a kid, but I’m still a fan! :-)

Nothing beats Imo’s for lunch! This location is perfect on a well traveled road. You can easily get in and out in record time. Their lunch special is always top notch. The salad is loaded with enough provolone to make one smile. Their pizza, thin and cripsy, has just enough of everything to satisfy the hunger. Order some cheese garlic bread, it’ll be the perfect companion to any meal. Sometimes you just need an Imo’s lunch — you won’t be disappointed!

Don’t get me started on their wings… It’s always smothered in lots of hot sauce which is the way I love my wings. Besides that, I always order that, the canadian bacon pizza and a side of their house salad with their sweet, perfect tangy dressing! Perfect meal for whenever I am craving my carbs and protein!

Very thin crust. Didn’t like they used whole pieces of bacon on the pizza. Quite costly as well.

This is probably one of the worst Imo’s that I have dined at. Every time I order from this location, they always leave off this mixture of seasoning that the other Imo’s always put on their pizza, which leaves it with a very strange taste in the mouth. The customer service is also incredibly poor, with crabby cashiers from open to close. I do NOT recommend. Drive a little further to Lindbergh for a different location.

Bottom Line: Consistent level of quality coming out of this Imo’s Pizza. I have been going here quite a while(over 10 years?) and I have always been happy with my pizza. A suggestion… If you like a real crispy crust, ask them to make it «well done». I love the pizza this way. Also, their deluxe salad is good to order with your pizza. Their side salad is a bit too basic for me.
