When you just want some yummy pancakes, go to IHOP! I think their pancakes are the best around for the stand-alone buttermilk variety. Part of what makes them so good is the HUGE blob of butter that they put on top. Get the regular sized stack as it’s the best value! My husband always eats what I don’t. Order the hash browns extra crispy and they will come that way. Service is usually good here. So why 3 stars? It’s pretty old/dingy. I remember the part that used to be the smoking section, and it still seems dirty. They never seat us there for some reason. They need to tear down and build a nice, new one for sure. Til then, when the craving for pancakes hit, I’m sure I’ll stop by.

Wow, just wow… I went here on 2÷4÷16 at 12pm with my mom for lunch, I was not very busy which was a plus as I don’t like large crowds… she and I were seated immediately and spotted a sign that said all you can eat pancakes(cool, I like pancakes). After being seated we were passed over by 3 waitress that just walked past the table without asking if we’ve been served. Another 10 minutes goes by and I getting a bit frustrated find a waitress standing by the door. I said excuse me several time(still being ignored/getting ticked off) finally after putting some base in my voice did I get a response(side note I am a former restaurant manager I understand busy employees, but really?) Finally three waitress respond(that’s more like it but your tip is out the window) after they delivered some«luke warm» coffee they take our order; by the way we were offered water and never got it, My mom who wanted the all you can eat pancakes, however she was offered three or five. Not sure if there’s a time limit but she took the three and a side of bacon, I ordered the stuffed French toast. Less than ten minutes later here comes our food(alright so it’s looking up… not) My moms pancakes were dry, very salty and cold and so was her bacon, my French toast was so hard you could here the crunch as you cut into it, the waitress also only brought me one when I ordered two, but she brang the other out by this point I’ve cut into my French toast took a couple of bites and pushed it away, I certainly was not about to touch the second. We were never checked on as they were busy helping everyone in the main dining room, finally unhappy with this whole deal I had to flag down another waitress to get a bill(this time I only starred at her I was not about to waste my time and get up and get her) We informed her of the problem and she took off my moms food but some how didn’t notice I barely touched mine. So after leaving I called the store in o talk to the manager, somehow the same waitress answered the phone I asked to speak to a manager and she informed me she was the only one I can talk to(how convenient) Told her what I thought about this whole ordeal and she designed to get loud with me… Really? Having not gotten threw to her, and getting pretty angry myself I hang up and called guest relations. They were attentive and understanding not like the staff at this place and I got the problem solved. I used to go here all the time and never have I had such horrible service and I will never go back again, I will hop on down to bob evens if I get hungry.

I had a quick breakfast at IHOP on a weekday morning. It was empty. I ordered a combo with two eggs scrambled, 2 strips of bacon, hash browns, and 2 harvest grain and nut pancakes. I also ordered hot tea as I routinely do for breakfast. Everything was fair. The best thing was the pancakes and the IHOP flavored syrups. Something about those syrups makes me feel like I’m a little kid there with my grandparents deciding between strawberry and blueberry. I’m sure I wouldn’t eat them if I read the nutrition info but hey, you have to live a little sometimes, right? The service is slow and the place, dishes, and silverware could be cleaner. I’m sure I’ll be back at some point but not really really soon.

Arrived at the frigid restaurant and opened my menu to immediately receive a small splash of water on my arm. The menu was soaking wet. Ew. I ordered an omelet and my friend had eggs with French toast. Her eggs were stone cold. She picked up the syrup and it was dripping with water. She wiped it down and attempted to pour it onto her French toast… more water trickled out. They must have HOSED this place down right before we got there. Anything that wasn’t drenched in water was sticky. We probably left about 80% of the food on the table uneaten… for $ 42(incl tip). Not an enjoyable experience at all. The only thing that makes me give them two stars is the fact that the server was reasonably efficient/attentive and I like to reserve my one star ratings for truly bad service. At the end of the day, I will never eat here again.

Came in last night with my guy because I wanted breakfast for dinner. It’s 12 degrees outside so I was looking forward to a warm and probably empty restaurant(it’s IHOP) and got one of my two wishes. It was extremely cold inside the restaurant. You could feel it when you came in but I thought it was stemming from the corridor initially. As we were seated, I continued to feel the draft but made no effort to remove my winter coat and ordered a hot coffee. My guy ordered a hot chocolate but specifically asked for a big cup because we were both cold. Our waiter, who never told his name, brought our drinks out but brought my guy his hot chocolate in a regular size mug so clearly he didn’t listen to his request. We were willing to pay the extra amount for the bigger mug. We ordered our food which came out within 7 minutes. It was only 4 other people in the restaurant so yea, shouldn’t be any longer. He asked if we needed anything more in which we requested ketchup, hot sauce and extra napkins. He gave us those items and checked back on us about two more times and dropped our check before his disappeared for awhile. I guess he was outside smoking because he had on his coat. So after waiting patiently for his return to pay our bill because at this IHOP, you have to pay at the table, we damn near froze again. I would NOT recommend this location to anyone unless they want poor and/inconsistent service or don’t mind feeling like they’re outside eating during the winter. They really need to fix their heat or shut down until it’s fixed. A family of 5 came in and exclaimed their discomfort with the super cold draft to which one female waitress said the heat wasn’t working, «sorry but it’s 60 degrees in here». Not acceptable for extreme cold temperatures(well below freezing) outside. SMH…

On an extremely cold Tuesday evening with a seemingly empty parking lot, my daughter and I entered this restaurant but were surprised to see about six or eight people waiting. There was no one at the check in desk or the cash register and no one seemed to note our arrival. We waited quietly for someone to take our name. After about fifteen minutes, a server literally yelled from across the restaurant, about fifteen to twenty feet away, «it’s gonna be at least twenty minutes or longer. There’s only two of us tonight» in an extremely surly, almost aggressive tone. I replied that we would go somewhere else, to which she made no response. I have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. She made us feel as if we were invading or assaulting the place and demanding immediate service just by having the audacity to show up. I am generally pretty forgiving of overworked employees, realizing the situation is likely due to bad management, but this was the rudest experience I have ever had. While she may have been extremely busy, she could have used at least a civil, if not polite or friendly tone, and walked over to speak with us instead of screaming across the establishment. I have eaten here quite a few times over the years, and have noticed the service going downhill. The last time I came, shortly before the holidays, service was extremely slow and we were unable to use our charge card as their system was not working. But I will not return to this restaurant again, as my business is obviously an intrusion. Can I rate this zero stars?

In at 6:30 pm, got seated right away, placed order shortly thereafter. Food was out quickly and was fine. Flavored lemon aid is not that great. Free WiFi is awful.

Not a good place to eat, My wife and i went for eggs and pancakes on a coupon that you must show server before you order as we did. After we ate our substandard food and asked for check, we were informed that the coupon would not be accepted, because this i-hop is under new management, WHATISTHATALLABOUT I ASKED, They would not honor the coupon, STAYAWAYFROMTHIS I-HOP. we will never go back, what a joke!!! ***On 8−21−14 Brian the General Manager call me and my wife to clear up this problem, as he knew nothing about this, I accepted his apology, my wife and i will try this i-hop again*** thank you Brian for the follow up!!!

Wow, maybe I should have looked at the reviews first? I was just here this week and honestly maybe IHOPs are not as good as they used to be? Sadly. I will say the server here was very nice, fast with bringing food out, and very attentive, that’s important, but the food is important too… my scrambled eggs were runny, there was a yellow puddle of maybe butter on my plate? I don’t know but they were wet eggs… gross. I did not want to say anything at all but the server brought fresh scrambled eggs anyway… also the pancakes basically just fell completely apart. not sure but not a good breakfast at all.

While we enjoyed most of our food as usual, it took 20 minutes for us to order our food. When we ordered Carl asked us how we wanted our checks we asked if we can have them all separate. He said it was fine. Then we FINALLY got our food, ate and FINALLY got our checks. When we asked for our checks we were asked twice how we wanted our checks. He told us that they don’t have a hostess so we would have to pay him. Since we all work together across the street from this IHOP we were ready to pay because we had already been there for an hour. So, he brought a to-go box for someone and asked how we wanted our checks. We told him again. Then he left for like 10 minutes, came back and asked how we wanted our checks. Yup, that’s right a THIRD time! Not only was a 20% gratuity automatically applied to all of our checks(7 people? I thought that was only added to parties of 10 or more) but one of us paid in cash. He kept the change… like the coins(her change should have been $ 2.17 and she rec’d $ 2 back). Strange. I paid with a credit card and he brought back my receipt along with his copy, but not the original check that actually has the«We Want Your Feedback!» survey on it. When I told him I wanted it he informed me that he would have to dig it out of the trash. I insisted. I mean, how can I complete the survey without my «code», OR maybe he’s thinking that we WON’T complete the survey and he is in the clear. WRONG! I ALWAYS critique places we eat, places I get good service and places I get bad service. As we were leaving a woman walked up to the hostess and said, «excuse me, we have been ready to pay for at least 20 minutes but our waiter has disappeared.». I’m guessing Carl again. FYI — it ended up being a 1−½ hour lunch. What I didn’t tell my co-workers is that I found a little black hair on the side of my plate. There was nothing near it, my eggs and sausage would on the other side, and we had waited for TOOLONG for our food so I just took a napkin, wiped it away and threw it away. I probably would have told a manager but I only saw 3 people working, a waitress, a hostess and Carl… no it was NOT busy. God only knows how long it would have taken for a manager to come out.

As soon as I opened the bathroom door, I was disgusted! I would have skipped this bathroom if it wasn’t for the fact that I was about to embark on a four hour journey to Kirksville, so I had no other choice but to conquer my worst fears as a public restroom critic and use this IHOP’s restroom facilities. Upon opening the door, I first noted the mixture of toilet paper and paper towels scattered everywhere. Stepping around the mess of toilet paper and paper towels, I had to choose one of the three stalls. The first one was occupied so I proceeded to the next, when I opened the second stall door I was unpleasantly greated by a clogged toilet full of toilet paper, fecal matter, and other ingredients(just use your imagination). Luckily, the third stall was in decent shape considering the condition of the rest of the bathroom. As I sat down I was kind of disturbed by how large the gap was between the stall door and the actual stall. This gap became very problematic throughout my experience, I felt very rushed and violated because of a woman that waiting for a stall to open up kept peering in at me. EHHHH! And don’t even get me started about the toilet paper! It was literally tissue paper; there were even directions attached to the toilet paper dispenser on how to paiper mechae(just kidding, but the toilet paper was seriously as thin as tissue paper). When washing my hands the sink seemed cleaner than the rest of the bathroom, though, looks can be deceiving. Considering the cleanliness of the rest of the bathroom and the fact that there was a pile of soap underneath the dispenser, I was sure that quite some time had passed since the sinks had been last cleaned. I must also mention the overflowing waste bins below the paper towel dispensers. Throughout my entire experience I was dreading having to touch the door handle on my way out, but luckily, the lady in front of me had taken one for the team by swinging the door wide open; giving me just enough time to squeeze through the closing door before it shut behind her. Overall bathroom experience one out of five stars. Step up your bathroom game, IHOP!

Food took awhile. Even coffee and water took a long time. Food was just ok. If I’m going to be «bad» on my diet, I would pick something better to eat. The server was sweet but she seemed to rushed and a bit forgetful.

I came here about a week ago and I disagree with many of the reviewers here. This location was impressive. There were a lot of bright lights and clean tables. I ordered the healthy entrée of wheat pancakes, turkey bacon and low fat scrambled eggs. Everything came to my table in record time and with great presentation. The service was very quick and very personable. I would definitely come back here again.

Sadly this IHOP location is lacking. I was seriously disappointed. The store looked shabby, the tables were dirty, and the service was less than great — an inexperienced young man was our waiter, who just kept making mistakes. The food was even disappointing. The presentation was messy, and I don’t know if the overall experience dulled my tastebuds or what, but even the food wasn’t all that good either. Skip this place. I(would)HOP to someplace else to eat.

we used to go to this Ihop all the time. i don’t know what happened but the past few years they have gone downhill. the past few times we were there the service has been not only slow but also unfriendly. the food has been a step below ok. needless to say we don’t really go here anymore. we go to the one in Fenton.
