Was in town visiting and came across this little gem. The prices are great, the lady who took my order was very sweet and efficient. The food also tasted great, they took less than 10 mins to make it and it all tasted fresh. Like real authentic Chinese food. Definetly recommend coming here. I ordered egg fried rice which was nice and saucy. Also had some hot and sour soup which tasted spicy and great. My mom had the egg foo youn and pepper steak which was also great. Everything was clean and quick! Stopped here after going to mandarin house which had terrible customer service and ridicioulous high prices. So if you’re in between I definetly recommend coming here instead.

I have gone to Hon’s Wok for 13 years since I started working near there. I LOVED their fried rice. I knew that they were under new management and had heard it wasn’t as good. I went today and it was the worst fried rice I’ve ever eaten. It had no flavor at all. It’s like they soaked some white rice in soy sauce, steamed it, and then called it fried rice. I’m so sad because they used to have the best fried rice ever. This is the only thing I tried under new management, but I have no interest in going back to try anything else.

I was really in the mood for Chinese when I thought I’d give Hon’s Wok a try. My first impression of a business starts with their customer service and the service was lousy. A guy answered the phone who knew nothing about the menu which was disappointing but I decided to order a few of my usual dishes. I ordered the House Special fried rice, crab rangoon & fried shrimp. The rice was so greasy and had absolutely no flavor. The meat was fatty and under cooked. The shrimp seemed to be in a full circle(like I’ve never seen before) with tasteless greasy batter. About the only thing I can say was good was the crab Rangoon.

Under new management… No notice at all. I didn’t realize it until I went to pick up. I miss the old joint already. Everything I got was RELL

The staff was friendly and the place looked clean. The portions were generous which would have been a plus if we liked the food. We tried Hon’s Wok because we had a flier with coupons. We ordered broccoli with garlic sauce and it had a lot of red pepper flakes and scant garlic flavor. As for the sesame tofu, it was a huge disappointment. It was seasoned with(Louisiana?) hot sauce. Not even Sriracha or Chinese seasoning. It looked like the tofu was cubed, lightly fried, submerged in American hot sauce and topped with some sesame. Also: My daughter liked her egg drop soup. The vegi fried rice was light on the vegis. We enjoyed the crab Rangoon but don’t expect much crab flavor. The Chinese food is much more Americanized than we’ve ever eaten and with all the excellent Chinese restaurants nearby, we won’t return to Hon’s Wok.

This pains me as I love Hons Wok. Under new ownership, changed recipes with no notice. Got order wrong on top of that, I wasn’t the only one. Got my money back after 3 bites and left. Will call before I go back to see if the old recipes are back, otherwise I need to find a new Chinese joint.

Years, for years, I’ve been ordering Hon’s food. I love it. It shows up quick, clean, fresh, and good. I’ve never had a single reason to complain at all. I highly recommend anyone to check them out.
