Holistic Fitness

I recently went to Holistic Fitness for my first colon hydrotherapy. I selected them based on the reviews here. First impressions are lasting ones and they did not disappoint. When I called to make an appointment, which was same day, they were very helpful and kind. The waiting area is nice, clean and relaxing. Great way to start! Kristine is my Hydrotherapist and she is fabulous! She is very knowledgeable and provided me with a ton of information. Not only did she explain the procedure and how the body works, but she also gave me tips about changes I could make. She made the treatment easy and I didn’t feel embarrassed at all. The clinic has tons of information for you to read also. I am definitely a regular.

Just had a wonderful treatment with Jim Sullivan. He is very professional well trained. I left feeling great!

I recently went to another place for a facial (something this place doesn’t offer) and it reminded me of how fantastic this place is! I’ve been going here for a little over 3 years now and shame on me for not writing a review before this.
First of all — the place in general. Always plenty of parking, the receptionists are sooo nice and the offices are very tranquil. They’ve got stuff to sell you scattered around but I have never gotten a sales pitch — it’s there if you want to look but no big deal if you don’t! They’ve got a nice online system for booking /​changing appointments that is super easy to use. Yes, they ask for 24 hour notice. But come on, this is people’s livelihood that you are dealing with here. Wouldn’t you want 24 hours notice if your boss decided that you were not getting paid for tomorrow? Especially if you could maybe book somebody else in that time and make up for the pay loss?
I originally came to this place when I was shopping around for a regular massage session using Groupons. Translation — I’ve been to a lot of places and not a single one of them inspired me to come back until I got to Holistic Fitness. I always schedule with Darek — he does such a fantastic job of combining relaxing with effective! I’m really not sure how he does it — all the knots are worked out, my body feels TONS better and yet… it was just a totally easy, wonderful feeling experience :) He always asks me what I’m in for that day and is just as good at working on a specific painful spot as he is helping me ‘just chill’.
The room I’ve always used is very nice. They have a bio mat which supposedly works the impurities out of your body. I’m not sure how much I believe that but it does provide a great heated spot to lay while I’m getting my massage. They’ve got a very quiet fan too so depending on how I’m feeling that day — I can get cooked or cooled as I want!
Tranquil is just the word I keep coming back to. The whole place is peaceful and relaxing. The experience is wonderful. I’ve kept a contract with them for 3 years now and still look forward to my session every month!

I have been seeing Jackie for monthly massages for 3 years now and she is great! I always feel so relaxed after seeing her for a session. She’s very professional and attentive. She always checks in to see if any areas need special attention and offers great advice and suggestions for treatments. I have recommended friends to Holistic Fitness and Jackie and even brought an out of town friend over for a massage. I have also tried a few other services at Holistic Fitness. Every practitioner I’ve seen has been helpful and professional. I highly recommend Holistic Fitness.

After reading about the health benefits of colon hydrotherapy for years I never thought I would give it a try until one day. I did :) & there is no turning back for me! I have been going to Holistic Fitness for over a year now, all of their therapists are excellent, everyone is kind & loving; I love just being here and their services are outstanding and one of a kind here in STL. Colon Hydrotherapy can literally change your life and I highly recommend visiting Holistic Fitness to take your health to the next level!!!

I really appreciate how friendly the staff is at Holistic Fitness. Every service I’ve had there has been terrific!

First, I highly recommend water therapies! Supporting and assisting the body to do what it knows how to do very well (heal itself) is very powerful.
So, Yes, I recommend Colonics.
I bought a series of 3 colonics this winter. I had Esther as a therapist. She is wonderful. I have had colonics off and on for 20 years all over the USA. The equipment at Holistic Fitness is excellent. Esther gives a great massage during the session. I believe that she meets people where they are at, different for beginners than she would be with those who are more experienced. So, I think that anyone would appreciate their session. They also offer organic coffee option for the colonic.
She is very knowledgeable about food and health.

I had a massage from Rachel and she was absolutely fantastic. I would say she gave me the best massage I’ve ever had, she really payed attention to where I was having issues but was still so relaxing!

Holistic fitness offers valuable alternative health services to the community in a professional setting and for that reason, I struggle with the idea of writing a bad review. However, I concur with another reviewer that you have to be VERY careful about scheduling appointments.
They have what I consider to be a VERY unreasonable cancellation policy. I actually stopped going for several years because of it and as a «like» new client who just returned to give it another try, they tried to stick me with a cancellation fee for my first appointment back. One that I made online Sunday (when they were closed) and cancelled early Monday. I tried to cancel online before they opened, but the system wouldn’t let me. So, I had to wait until I could call. What a pain! After wasting my precious time on the online system that is clearly problematic (especially with these policies), the thought that they would try to stick me with a fee is simply ridiculous.
My actual service was very professional, but dealing with the policies at the front desk was borderline offensive. Nice welcome back. Thanks, but no thanks!

Most people would be very uncomfortable or cringe at the thought of getting butt naked for someone else to stick a tube up their butt; for me, that was not the case. My friend brought a Groupon for this place and could not use it therefore, I decided to go during my lunch break today.
I called them during the morning and was lucky to get a 1:30pm appointment today and I got there a little bit early to fill out paperwork which basically you release your medical records and etc. Then, Maria came and got me and took me back to a colonic room. This place is very clean and everyone that works there made me feel very comfortable as soon as I entered their door. Maria then instructed me and gave me directions on what was going to happen and was very nice and made sure all of my questions were answered. I was actually quite excited to go through with my first colonic experience and I never thought I would ever get excited for someone to stick something up my butt!
Definitely cannot wait to come back to do more at Holistic Fitness!

A very professionally run, clean place. I had a series of three colonics here over the course of a week. The therapists are knowledgeable and have a calming demeanor. The gravity-​fed colonic was a personal favorite… If that sort of thing CAN be a favorite. :-)
