Guys & Dolls

I always read Unilocal reviews before I go somewhere new and I only write good reviews cause I was taught if I can’t anything nice don’t say anything at ALL. So here I go, Sam and Renee were absolutely AWESOME at Guys & Dolls! I have unruly, curly, Caribbean hair and have not been able to find anyone in St. L to deal with it. They nailed it. They understood my problems and listened to what I was looking for and best of all delivered it on a silver platter. They truly understand curly hair so I came home and called my curly hair friends to share my experience. I’m not making promises for miracles but try them. You have nothing to lose-​but a little hair haha!

I have been with my current (also favorite & most trusted EVER!) stylist for going on four years now. She recently relocated to this salon. I was just here for the first time close to a month ago on my birthday for a much needed and overdue haircut.
I received excellent service from Ashley as always! If you are looking for a hairdresser, I am telling you, look no further! SERIOUSLY! I found her to begin with by asking someone with great hair where they went when I was new in town. I love that I don’t even have to say what I want done with my hair really. She does ask some questions to be sure, but she already knows. I swear I just yak the whole time and barley pay attention in the mirror. Not many people you could trust like that while they’re cutting your hair! =)
I really did like this salon, too. It’s smaller and more cozy. Dimmer lighting. Not a huge open uncomfortable space with bright florescent lighting. I hate that! And you don’t have to walk a mile between the shampooing station & the barber chair. Much more intimate and personal. Very nice place, but not snobbish at all. I felt right at home.
I also told her that I recently freaked reading up on different chemicals and preservatives in beauty products recently. She was so awesome and used a sulfate-​free shampoo in my hair! Much appreciated!
I will be moving two plus hours away soon, but I will be returning here for all my hair needs. It is SO hard to find someone you can trust with your hair. If you don’t have to, you definitely don’t want to give up that security and service!
