I enjoy few things as much as a good pedicure. I have been going exclusively to Glow for around 10 years(I even was a customer when it was called Scandals). They had been putting out Groupons and I bought one each time they came out. The staff told us we could only use one of each Groupon per year. Then, the manager told us we didn’t need to get the Groupons, that they would put together a package like the Groupon, but buy a gift card directly from them. This sounds great, right? Wrong! We went in for an appointment for a mani/pedi. I gave them the gift certificate. When we were soaking out feet, the current manager sent out the woman who was going to be doing our pedicures to tell us that we «are not allowed to use Groupons anymore». We explained was the previous manager had done, but were told that she no longer works there and that was why. Now, I can understand where they are coming from, but I do not understand where the attitude is coming from. Nowhere in the terms for Groupon did it say anything about using only one. We did not try to take advantage of them. This was something we were offered by Glow. Additionally, we tip each person $ 20 every time we would go. There were literally no other customers in the spa at the time of our appointment. It seems to me that they need to not be rude to their customers — looks like they need those Groupons to actually get customers in their shop. Glow, you’ve lost 2 customers that you had for over 10 years.

I purchased 2 Groupons for this place; 1 for a classic mani/pedi and the other for a massage. I went in for the mani/pedi so far. I have a regular place I get pedis and I had never gotten a manicure before, so I was a bit apprehensive, but the Groupon was a really good deal. Here are my comments: MANI: The hand massage was really nice. But as for the other parts, my polish was literally chipping by the end of the day, and my nails were different lengths. I had to ask her to trim one pinkie down because it was WAY longer than the others. PEDI: I am a runner and a high heel wearer, so my feet take an extra hard beating. One thing I look forward to with a pedi is all the callous skin and blister skin being taken off my toes and heels. This girl refused to take any of it off. She insisted it was all still«live skin» and it was ILLEGAL to remove it. She told me to soak my feet in epsom salt instead. She didn’t use the handy little tool to spread my toes apart when she polished them, so the side edges of my nails weren’t painted. Overall, disappointing, and based on the reviews on here from people who’ve gotten a massage here, I’m even more apprehensive about getting that. I have tried 4 places other than my usual nail place(Ladue Nails) and I have regretted it every time. Go with what you know.

I visited Glow for the first time… and THELAST. I called to make an appointment for a massage and they got me in quickly, which I thought was great. I had taken the day off of work, so I had a busy day, but also wanted to pamper myself. I checked in there and they made me wait until 17 minutes AFTER my appointment was supposed to start. The girl was very nice, but she mentioned that she was an esthetician! An esthetician performing a massage!!! I told her that my shoulder blade was hurting, along with my lower back, could we focus on those areas. She spent more time rubbing my face vs. any other areas… any it was like she was tickling my face… not enjoyable. When I asked her to apply more pressure to really relieve the stress, she said that she legally could not go any deeper. WHATDOESTHATMEAN!!! She NEVER focused on any certain areas and it was so weak that it was completely pointless. What a disappointment! I will never return nor will I recommend this place to others.

Like many, I used a Groupon for my first(and LAST) trip in for a much needed massage. Advertisement said you could get a Relaxation, Deep-Tissue or Swedish Massage. I asked for the Swedish and the girl was not trained in that. She said she was only trained in relaxation and Swedish and that she was the Esthetician. REALLY??? Why would the front desk book an esthetician for a massage appt??? I had accidentally come in at the wrong time on that day but came back 2 hours later for my massage. It was my BIG mistake not to have left when she told me that she was the esthetician but she DID say she was«trained» though I am not sure who might have trained her(DVD. Video??) Nonetheless, I stayed and asked her to concentrate on particular areas. I reminded her a few times after she spent a large amount of time on my feet explaining reflexology rather than massaging the shoulders. Even when I told her that her pressure could be stronger, it was still weak… very weak. VERY, VERYDISAPPOINTED! Obviously the lesson learned is that you ask for credentials when you make appointment. However, shame on them for not having a real massage therapist do a massage.

I started coming here about two years ago every 3 – 4 months for massages and facials. At one point I bought a Groupon for 4 microdermabrasion treatments for $ 199. I had gone in for 1 treatment before seeing a dermatologist and getting prescribed a very intense skin medication. You are not allowed to exfoliate or get facials while on the drug, so I called and asked if I could use the money spent on my Groupon for something else. Sandy, the manager was SO understanding! She even gave me her personal cell phone number so if I had any issues I could contact her directly. That is what I call above and beyond customer service! I probably got 3 massages out of the«credit» I had in the system from the Groupon. They also accept Spa Wish gift cards which is nice! The massages are Ahhmazing. I recommend the 60 minute Swedish or aromatherapy(you can choose the scent). I’ve gone here once for a shellac mani and I won’t be back for nails. My polish chipped after 3 days, and for the price, that’s inexcusable to me. This is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. I go back for a massage in 2 weeks… Can’t wait!

Everyone has a right to an opinion and they are not always going to be the same, because we are not all the same. I don’t do reviews very often for just that reason. I have been going to Glow Salon for many years, but not always on a regular basis, as I am getting older I have decided to pamper myself a little and go on a regular basis. I get shellac manicures, pedicures, my hair cut/colored & styled. I get facial treatments, eyebrow & chin waxes. I am also planning on getting massages in the near future. I am satisfied with 98% of the service I have received there. Everyone can have a bad day, remember the people who work there are human just like you. I would recommend you give it a try a few times and see for yourself before you make a decision bases on someone else’s opinion.

This review will be a mixed one. So to start with the good my friend and I purchased groupons for shellac manicures and spa pedicures. Both of the nail technicians did a nice job and took their time. They were personable and funny and offered great customer service. Now for the salon… I get pedicures several times per year but typically as a holiday treat get both. When a place advertises itself as a spa, the environment should be spa like. If I had paid full price for this I wouldn’t be going back as the environment is sterile, not soothing, and in the middle of a salon. I hope this review add some helpful tip for the salon owner.

Not impressed. My mother and I bought a Groupon for a «spa» pedicure and shellac manicure. It was about the same that you would pay for these services at a normal salon, so I was expecting a little more(since they claim regular price was twice what I paid for the groupon). Boy, was I wrong. After being seated about 20 minutes late, though we were the only ones in the salon(at 6PM on a weeknight!, not a good sign!) we soaked in luke warm water for about 5 minutes. The nail tech«filed» my nails and«buffed» my feet with a machine that looked like it belonged in a garage, not a salon. We did get some kind of «mask» that felt like Vaseline wrapped in a hot towel… then paint, top coat, done. Manicure was worse. No soak, no nail trim(my nails are all different lengths and shapes), barely trimmed my cuticles even though I told her I had been leaving them alone, waiting to have them fixed by a professional. Then she basically painted the whole tip of my finger and rubbed the excess off with acetone and a makeup brush(which just dried my cuticles out more). My fingers are all stuck to the underside of my nails, due to the excessive paint and there is crap stuck in all my polish from the brush she kept picking at… Yikes. No wonder no one was in here. Have to go somewhere else tomorrow to get everything fixed :(

I had a GREAT experience here! I highly recommend Kelsey for hair and nails, shes very attentive to detail. Becky is amazing for melting your stress away with a Swedish massage. Ive also seen an esthetician for brows and I was very happy with the way she listened to my concerns and how they turned out. The prices are about standard for any salon/spa. I started with just a gift certificate from a friend, but the friendly staff and talented stylists will keep me coming back. Ive found my new salon!

Went to Glow after buying a Groupon. Groupon deals can be hit or miss, so I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly, patient service I received(I say patient because my thick hair can take a long time!) Immediately upon arrival, I was greeted by the receptionists, given a beverage, and my stylist was ready to go. I saw Andie, who was a pleasure to talk to and joke with. More importantly, she asked follow-up questions to be sure she knew exactly what kind of cut & color I had in mind, and as a result I got exactly what I was picturing going in to this appointment. She also recommended some products that she used but wasn’t pushy about them at all. Andie was also gentle with my hair– even though it can take a while to comb and dry, I never got yanked, which I appreciated! Overall, I highly recommend this laid-back salon and Andie for a stylist. I’ll be back!

I recently received a gift certificate to get a massage here. I called to discuss my options and the receptionist was very helpful and we lined up a date quickly. I chose a de-stress aromatherapy massage. This is a full-body swedish massage utilizing special scented oils to help relax you and soothe your skin. It was a little more expensive then the basic massage but the gift certificate covered the cost. The day I arrived, their receptionist(Megan) greeted me using my name before I even introduced myself. She offered me water, hung up my coat and escorted me to a dimly lit waiting room with very comfortable chairs and soft music.(I began to relax just sitting in this room.) Being a first timer the massage therapist(Jessica) met me in this room, introduced herself and wanted to talk about any problems I was experiencing. We talked for about five minutes. It was very professional and I could tell she really listened. The 60 minute massage was wonderful and left me incredibly relaxed. She applied some surprise steps not mentioned before which included warm stones on the palms of hands and warm towels wrapped around my feet.(Oh my!) The heated, blanket covered, massage table was also incredibly soothing during the massage. The rooms are private, clean and smell great. I can not wait to go back, which will be in a few weeks as I scheduled my next appointment before I left. I was also happy that they didn’t try to sell me a membership. The brochure I received mentions memberships but it was not a hard sell. They just thanked me for coming in and offered more water. I’m still relaxed nearly a week later. Thank you Jessica.

Terrible. I went into get my nails done before a trip to Florida. The manicurist said she didn’t know how to do French nails, but she did my pedicure anyway and they looked like something I could reproduce at home… Which is NOT good. I don’t even understand how she was hired without basic knowledge of a common nail style. They talked me into shellac for my fingers and another«more experienced» manicurist did those. Well, 2 days into my trip, almost all of the shellac had peeled off. I knew that they were supposed to last 2 – 3 weeks so I immediately called the salon. They said I could come back in and have them redone at no charge. I returned and yet another manicurist did them. She blamed the fault on the length and shape of my nails, but redid them. Once again, they came off within a few days. I will not return to this salon. Ever. I have since had shellac done at several other MUCH less expensive salons with my nails always starting the same length(I keep them somewhat short since I am a nurse) and have never had a problem with the shellac staying on. This place provides a poor service at an astronomical cost.

Went to Glow for the first time this evening — I received a cut that was so bad the stylist, Andi, refunded my money and paid for me to have it fixed elsewhere. While I appreciate that, there’s no fixing short, thick, non-blended bangs when what you wanted was long layers framing your face. Needless to say I won’t be back.
