This place is called a «Sports Bar» for one reason… LOUD TVs. Interesting that the place only had 2 – 3 people at the bar and 1 or 2 tables filled at 9:30PM Sunday. Bartender changed channel from football game to some musical special but didn’t change the volume… BLARING!!! The food is not something to write home about. Cold soup, had to ask for it to be reheated, also too salty. Service was so-so. Waitress seemed put out when asked for a bigger to-go box.

Outstanding burgers and onion rings as big as your head! The fried pickles are the best I’ve had. Give this place a try!

Absolute horrible customer service. My husband and I had dinner on Friday July 24th and our car was hit in the parking lot and the driver left without a note. We immediately called the manager Sue who said she would be on it first thing Monday and call me with an update. I had to call her. Then I had to take time the following day to go up there and repeat the same information I’d given over the phone. I waited for at least 20 minutes to even be helped. My husband went up that Friday to see about the progress as Patty, the general manager, was supposed to review the surveillance video and get back with us. It’s been 19 days since anyone contacted us and I finally called them today. I called and asked to speak with Sue– I was on hold for over 10 minutes and when she finally came to the phone she basically told me my problem wasn’t important enough to be addressed by her at the moment and she hung up. I immediately called back and asked for the Patty and was told she was not there. She called me back and told me I had been rude to Sue(she had no basis for this) and that she was doing me a favor and I should have been more patient. I think 19 days is plenty patient. Patty was exceptionally rude to me saying things like she was doing me a favor, it wasn’t easy to review the tape, she took the time to do this for me when she had much more important things to do and she eventually«gave up». I asked her if she had reviewed the tape with no luck why she hadn’t just called and let me know. Her response was she was on vacation… for 19 days apparently. I realize this post is not about the food served(which our chicken did taste like tuna that night) or the wait staff, but if the general management is willing to treat a customer like this than reconsider where you give your business. If I ran an establishment and something like this happened, I would bend over backwards to ensure the customer would return and gain their business– not tell the customer they’re not important, they’re rude, or simply ignore multiple requests for help. Consider this when you chose which local places you patronize.

Basic bar and grill. Usually busy and can be crowded at times, but it’s clean and the waitstaff is friendly. My favorite menu item so far has been the buffalo chicken and blue cheese salad.

The«Trashed wings» are a South County staple. 5lbs and a pitcher of beer make for a great time for you and your friends. The«Blue Plate» special of chili/mac and grill cheese is served on a real blue plate. Quick, delicious and reasonably priced.

Food is good. Service is slow. I wish it was a little more friendly and there was a manager coming around to talk to the tables.

This is your local watering hole/dive that gets a lot of business despite your best efforts to figure out why. The food isn’t terrible, it’s your run of the mill greasefest so be ready for that. It also gets a lot of customers and is always busy, good luck figuring out why. The inside is kind of dumpy and is lit like a cavern at night(not sure what they’re trying to hide). Occasionally I do have a craving for a super greasy burger and this is the place to go. Again, food isn’t bad and the service is ok. Just get it to go.

I honestly have nothing nice to say about this place. The food was boring. Burgers over cooked. I could have made better fish tacos at home and the service… omg let me explain the service. HORRIBLE. Enough said.

Very clean family restaurant with a sports bar theme; TV volume was a bit excessive considering clientele. Food was decent and service excellent. A bit pricey.

Frankie’s is a good place, one of the Gianino restaurants in the St Louis metro area. The menu is a mix of Italian and sports bar food. It has a big family appeal during the week for dinner. The food is okay but you won’t get any surprises here. It’s sort of a lesser version of Joey Bs without the great Blue Plate specials. Service is okay.

The tvs are nice, however, if you plan on eating, bring your own food. We waited 12+ minutes and a server never came to the table. This place is great, if you’re into being neglected.

We go here just for the wings. The wing ding special I believe they call it. We usually get that to share and order our little girls a monster burger off the adult menu. Have been coming here for years and everything on the menu is really good. We usually stick to the burgers and wings. Though occasionally we try out the salads. We like coming here because all of the servers get along with kids, which is a rare find. They always interact with my kids and it makes me feel like they are not a problem, great family restaurant.

Great wings! It’s been a while since I’ve been here but the last time I was I’m, the owner was here and he’s a sweet man! Very kind hearted. It’s nice to see him when he is in! Oh, and the soft cheddar cheese on the burgers — yummy!

Sometime in the winter of 2013 Went here with friends who live in the neighborhood of Frankie G’s. On their recommendation, we went here for dinner. We had no preconceived expectations as we knew this was a burger bar and restaurant. It’s a good sized establishment that serves lots of hamburger, lots of fries and lots of wings. Our server was on the case quickly after we were seated. Our server knew her menu and seemed too anxious to get our order so she could get it into the kitchen. It was as though she thought we had a taxi running out front waiting for us and she didn’t want to hold us up. We were looking for a leisurely plate of wings, beer and whatever else was ordered. I think these bar/restaurant places are in such a hurry to please they lose sight that this may be the guests big night out for the month and there is no rush! The place was medium clean and it’s part of the gig that the tables and condiment containers have that slippery feeling… know what I mean? Dont look for high style as that’s not this place. Look for and find a great burger. Great fries, excellent wings, cold beer cheerful servers, a busy, busy bar and nice happy clientèle.

This place is gross!!! Food is all pre packed low grade slop! Nothing is fresh! All this place is, is a high school reunion for all the old oakvillian snots in the area. Well, I guess oakville is the ballwin of south county. Anyway… If you want good fresh food from the locals go somewhere in south city. But if you like crappy food, beer and douchbag locals… ENJOY!!!

I don’t always find myself in South County… A friend told me this a neighborhood hotspot and has been since she was a kid and you can feel a real family/neighborly vibe upon entering. In a good way! If there is a big game on most of the place will be tuned in but you can have them grab you a booth and just enjoy a nice sized menu with very affordable prices and a cold beverage of your choice. I had a burger and fries — they have that mastered, my dinner date had fish taco’s which were fresh and tasty. I think I even saw a swordfish behind the bar which is consistent with the atmosphere, no big chain restaurant gimmicks here. If I lived in the area I think I would be somewhat of a regular and I would suggest checking it out to anyone in the STL area, it almost feels like a landmark stop to make.

Frankie G’s has been around forever, but they update the place periodically to keep it feeling current and relevant. It probably helps that the food has always been good and reasonably priced, which translates to pretty good crowds most nights, so enough money is flowing in to keep the place up. This is part of the Gianino’s family of restaurants(the second one, I guess). Joey B’s is pretty much patterned after this place, only bigger and a bit flashier. Kind of a local Friday’s, which I don’t think is a bad thing. We had the house salad with grilled chicken(only $ 7.95 — cheap) and one of their specialties, chicken spedini sandwich. We had tried the chicken spedini at Gianino’s next door a couple of weeks ago and really liked it. This chicken was just as good — lots of meat and just an excellent sandwich. It comes with Provel, which is okay for us, but I’m sure you can change the cheese. The salad was the standard«Pasta House» style salad. It was good, but with a bit too much oil for our tastes. Service was fine. It’s a good place to grab a bite if you’re in the neighborhood. 3 ½ stars.

Dr. Seuss would loves this DUMP!!! Chef salad with Green Eggs and Ham… Also came with ROTTEN tomatoes. on the side. Waitress brought the bill when she served the food and then never came back. I also advised the hostess to get a manager and I suspect they never had one. So I gave the Hostess the green eggs & Rotten tomatoes and told her to give them to the manager so he can eat them, but I suspect that she dumped them on another customers salad. And yes, Sadly enough, My son payed for this meal… HEYFRANKIE!!! Now I know why your business SUCKS !!!
