Buffet did not have samosas so they made them special when I asked about them. Great food. Amazing service. Recommend!

Pleasant atmosphere with very good food and very good service. The location is great, just off I 170. It is a perfect place for a relaxing meal for anyone who likes Indian cuisine.

Great lunch buffet; food is tasty and lots of authentic options. My second time here and becoming a favorite. The chicken tikka is fantastic, spiced and marinated well and cooked perfect. The various options are fun for an adventurous eater.

We came for the lunch buffet. It was around $ 10. There was a good selection of tasty dishes, and even 4 choices of dessert. It felt like one of the best Indian buffets I recall, and I’ve been to a lot. It was a pleasant surprise to see they had samosas in the buffet.

This is our fourth time here and it got better than it was the first time. Everybody loved their food. The waiter was great. Each dish was better than the next! Great location if you know where it is!

We tried«House Recommended for 2» from the Menu and here are some of the glitches — Quantity is Very Less… thinking of Buffet would be good Masala Taste overshadow the curries… If you land by 8 in the restaurant, they’ll stand by your seat to kick you out @ 9 hence plan accordingly Appetizers — Pakora or Samosa sucks big time, you’ll feel the atta from it Lamb Curry — Meat balls were like Chewing Gums Dessert — Ras Malai sucks +ve Point — MULGATAWNY Soup was excellent… Chicken Curries were good… Service is good though they’ll standby to kick you out by 9 Ambience was very nice… Gulab Jamun was good Should go for Buffet instead a la-carte…

Out of the 8-or-so Indian restaurants in town we visit, this is always our favorite. Just great flavors and(for an Indian restaurant) good atmosphere.

Without a doubt THE best Indian restaurant in St. Louis!!! Buffet items are always fresh and hot with wonderful authentic Indian food at a great price. I love the palak paneer and vegetable korma. The samosas are yummy and they have great desserts and complimentary mango lassies! The place is neat and spotless and service is always attentive. Our favorite Indian food!

Always love coming here with my kids. Friendly staff that are very accommodating and friendly. The food is amazing. Friday and Saturday nights there is buffet as well as every day at lunch. We haven’t eaten anything here that isn’t good. It is our pick amongst the St. Louis area Indian restaurants. Even though we live in Ballwin near a few other restaurants, this one is worth the drive!

Really good dinner buffet on Fridays and Saturday. Love the Chicken Tika Masala, samosas and all of the veggie dishes. Attentive service and everyone is very friendly. Last night we tried the fried cheese balls in warm syrup for dessert… wow!

Went in for the lunch buffet on multiple occasions. The first time, the food was incredible, and I complemented the owner. The second time, the food was pretty good. The third time, the food was just ok with the nan being burned, the restaurant running out of mango lasse and what was there being a little too much like syrup, and their chai masala which I clearly ordered just being black tea with milk. I specifically said chai masala twice and they gave me regular chai charging me for it. They should honestly have chai masala available for free to everyone during the buffet as chai is a desi tradition during/after meals. I also liked the fact the gulab jaman were warm. Their vegetable korma is also not very traditional. Good restaurant, I will return, but I will also be looking for a better place in St. Louis. — — — — — — 08⁄15UPDATE — — — — — — Went in for dinner with my significant other. We ordered the dinner for two, and it was terrible. The samosas were ok, but the rest of the food left me confused. The mixed meat platter was under cooked and the curry portions were very small(only a few pieces of meat). The white basmati rice was ok and the naan was nothing special. For the price, it was absolutely not worth the cost. This was probably the worst desi meal I have ever had at a restaurant in my entire only after Mayuri. Mayuri is located across the highway. I will not be returning.

Probably one of the best Indian restaurants’ in St. Louis. The food is authentic and the prices are very reasonable. We usually go during dinner buffet on the weekends. It’s $ 10.95 per person. The selection is good and plenty. The food tastes great and is always hot and fresh. This is the only Indian restaurant in St. Louis that I know of that offers dinner buffet on the weekends. Employees are very friendly and service is superb. If you’re looking for good yet reasonably priced authentic food you should try them.

$ 11.99 dinner buffet on Thursday, Friday & Saturday night was the reward to a couple friends for helping me move. They said they wanted this because of the goat offered. I am not a Indian food expert. This is my Jefferson County hoosier, but been to a few India restaurants opinion. –buffet selection is smaller & more flavorful Indian dishes so maybe hard for beginners –the servers were nice & kept my water full with only one language problems –goat was great(I liked it with the mint sauce while the rest of the table loved it with the fig based sweet & sour sauce) –Tandoori chicken first time(5:45PM) was a little dry, but the fresh replacements were great(dipped in the yogurt– both was very great) –fried fish appetizer was tasty –veggie dishes were my other favorites –dessert selection was 4 dishes [sweet syrup soaked donut holes, sweet rice, creamy cheese(?) & my favorite the a weird thing that looked like a dessert pretzel w/honey sauce]

Awful restaurant I have ever been to and I have been to a lot of Indian restaurants all over USA. We were at their lunch buffet and there was not one item on their menu that was done right! The place looks good and well equipped to be a great restaurant but too bad they don’t seem to be trying hard enough. 2 stars go only to the location and the place itself and none to the actual food.

One of the best restaurants I have been to! I feel like I am repeating myself by saying it has been a few years, but I did not Unilocal back then & think this restaurant deserves a review. I have been here twice with my husband, the first time being my 30th birthday. It was also his first time having Indian food and I am glad that it was here that it happened. I don’t remember the specific dishes we ordered, but I always get something off of the vegetarian menu as well as vegetable samosas. I felt my food was exactly what I expect from an Indian restaurant & met the standards of other great places in which I have eaten. I remember my husband getting lamb on one occasion and fish on another. He ordered some sort of sampler that I believe included fish, breaded paneer, etc. He really seemed to enjoy his food. It looked to me like they had a beautiful full bar as well, but we had beer one time and a bottle of wine the second go around. One memorable thing that happened on our first visit was a couple in the booth behind us that kept sending their food back because it was too spicy for them. Their waiter was very patient, much more so than I was, and accommodated them, though I don’t know if they were ever happy in the end. I think that I sighed and made a comment that MAY have been loud enough for them to hear. If you want bland food, I don’t know what you are doing in an Indian restaurant. I always order my food medium to between medium and hot. I have requested«hot» on occasion because sometimes medium just isn’t quite enough. I understand that not all people want super hot food or even close to what I consider medium heat, but if mild made even more mild is still too much for you, please stay away and let the rest of us enjoy without having to hear you complain for the fifth time. =) The service here is impeccable! It is a casual atmosphere bordering on fine dining. The waiters are all dressed nicely & are very attentive. They have also wrapped our food very nicely for us when we had extra to take home. I like that they have booths here as well instead of just tables. It was a bit of a drive for us from where we lived in South County up 270, but completely worth it! I only wish that we had been able to visit more often and also check out their lunch buffet. It is hard for a couple of night owls like us to make it to any place during lunch hours though. I highly recommend Flavor of India!
