The clothing in this store was nice, but isn’t anything you can’t get at any other boutique. The customer service was atrocious! There was only one other customer in the store and I felt like I was interrupting the clerk(Kayleigh) from looking at her cell phone. I asked her about a sweater and she mumbled an answer and didn’t even look up. So, I wrote down the designer and style number of the sweater and a dress. I went down Clayton Road a bit and found both at another store. Sorry, Ester, you missed out on a $ 700 sale. I will never walk in there again.

If I could live in this place, and make it my closet, I would. The style is best described as elegance with an edge, with local labels alongside the likes of Milly, Vince, and Patterson J. Kincaid. I adore the space, which is industrial chic. The caged chandeliers alone are worth a look. I had been wanting to stop by Esther for a long time and finally decided to stop by after attending an author appearance at the library headquarters branch(dangerously close by). I ended up with a python-print shirt by Equipment which will pair nicely with tropical wool by day or skinny jeans for evenings/weekends. I also chose a Rachel Pally blue-and-white striped t-shirt dress, of sumptuously soft cotton, that will see me through the rest of the summer as well as a lightweight printed scarf to add interest to the dress and to step up shorts and t-shirt ensembles on days when I’m too busy(or lazy) to pull together an outfit. The sales professionals are very helpful and I did not feel rushed as I browsed – no small feat, considering that the store was almost empty on a rainy, Saturday afternoon. Even the tote bags are classy – fabric with button detailing. I hope that Esther remains viable and look forward to returning here to view the new items on offer and bask in the elegant, yet inviting surroundings.
