Save your money and do not go here. The customer service is subpar. The woman doing my nails(the older woman who I believe is the owner) told me the color I picked out was boring. That’s fine to have your opinion but considering I chose it from HER selection of polish and they’re MY feet, that was both unnecessary and rude to say. More importantly the job she did was terrible! I chose a light pink Opi color that required multiple coats because it was slightly opaque and surprisingly for Opi, not very pigmented. She tried to stop at 2 coats when it obviously needed 3 or 4 but I corrected her and she obliged. Next she was not thorough at all. She did a rush job of scraping the«gunk» and neglected to paint the nail all the way to the cuticle(like seriously?!) and she didn’t paint the top edge of the nail like everyone else does. Lastly she left one of my nails jagged and when I asked her to clip it she clipped it down way lower than the other ones. So again, save your money, pass by this raggedy shop and go to K Nail down the street. Or anywhere else with good reviews and decent service, just not here!

I’ll never come back here again. The place is empty besides 2 nail techs. As I get seated in a pedi chair, which by the way doesn’t work, the nail tech is sitting in front of me removing polish from her toenails. I think, «hmm that’s strange», but I go with it. I’m still soaking my feet when she proceeds to pull out polish and paint each one of her toenails and lets them dry before working on my feet. I was literally in shock. Oh, she also finished making some very important phone calls while her toes dried. The pedicure that I got was average at best. If your’re looking for a cheap average pedi that you may have to wait for even if you’re the only patron, then this place is for you!

This a great place! It small but the owners are very nice and I had a great time there. Their prices are very reasonable also! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good nail salon!

I’ve been to many nail shops in St. Louis, and this is the ONLY place for me! Sure, its a hole in the wall next to Church’s Chicken and a comic book store, but it’s a place worth finding. I’ve been going there regularly since 2004 for acrilyc nails and pedicures. I love that it’s a small business owned by a family. The atmosphere is relaxed and although they can be busy, the nail techs always take their time and do great work. I always get complements on my nails. The best part is they haven’t raised their prices since I’ve been going there so not only do my nails look great, I can walk out with a fill and pedicure for only $ 32 – $ 14 for a fill and $ 18 for a pedicure. I love Elegant Nails and I know you will too.

I don’t know what kind of places the previous reviewer is used to going to, but in my experience… what she described is pretty typical of your family owned nail salons. Yes, it does smell like nail polish(so does my whole house thanks to my teenage daughter) and I’m not sure about the venting. I’m sure it’s worse on the weekend when they are busier. There wasn’t a television on the pedicure siide of the salon, so my feet had her full attention most of the time. That never bothered me either since I’m sure most people who work in nail salons can do their job in their sleep. I wish I caught the girl’s name who did my pedicure… she was younger and spoke very fluent English(which was nice since I didn’t have to keep saying«excuse me?»). She did an over-the-top job on my tootsies and was very meticulous. This was on a Monday so hopefully that’s her normal day. Also, my pedicure was only 18.00 which I felt was VERY affordable. This is a great location as well since there are plenty of places to check out while you’re in Maplewood. My friend has gone here for 6 yrs and I’m sure I’m be back as well! P.S. I found out her name is Michelle. :)
