Ive been to this location a few times, but last night was particularly great. My server, Emily, remembered me from the last time I was in — 3 months ago! She was great. Always on time, never overbearing, and consistently anticipated our needs(drinks, etc.) I will definitely be asking for her again. To DF @ Westport — thanks for being the most consistent and delicious sushi in the city.

A friend and I stopped in for lunch today, the lunch specials are a great deal. We tried the spicy butterfly roll, the California and the fried Philly roll – all delicious. And make sure you try the edamame humus. Ask for Sean, he’ll take great care if you!

Just brought my wife here for our anniversary and Jamie made the evening very special for us even recommending some of her favorites from the cocktail menu. Everything was wonderful but Jamie was the icing on the cake can’t wait to go back and bring all of my friends.

Tonight was my first night at this restaurant & I have to say the food was AMAZING! My friend & I had the meso & bonzi soups, a platter of the Spicy Eskimo roll wrapped with thin slices of fresh cucumber & the fried philly rolls. All were delicious. Our waiter, Zach, was an awesome server! We will DEFINITELY be returning soon.

Always a good time at the Drunken Fish! Had sushi and sake with friends. Service is great and courteous and food is as it should be, fresh and prompt. This is my 5th visit to to the restaurant and wanted to get my friends here to try their sushi, we all agree that this is the best you can get in the mid-west! If you have a chance, do yourself a favor and stop by, atmosphere, charm, food & service are all #1 here. We are planning a family get together soon and a must stop for my out of town friends will be here.

Awesome! My husband and I came in here for dinner, using a Groupon. We ordered a few things to share and that was a great idea, getting to try various items. Our server was attentive, friendly and helpful with the menu item questions we had. Can’t wait to go back!

Unforunately, most of the food I ate tonight did not taste fresh at all. The lobster spring roll was absolutely atrocious. It was a bunch of mush with zero flavor. The Spicy Eskimo roll had an odd odor and lacked heat. The only saving grace came from a decent drunken fish roll. I will not be returning because there are simply better sushi restaurants out there.

Just had my company holiday happy hour at DF. 150 people. Exceptional performance, food and venue. Kudos to Samantha and Jamie for making sure my guests were well cared for. Great event venue! I highly recommend them.

Drunken Fish is a convenient place to eat if you are staying at the Sheraton Westport Plaza Hotel. You can exit the hotel without going outside — and walk for a minute and be at the restaurant. The evening I stopped in for dinner — there was some sort of company party going on — so the place was loud and packed. The hostess had to force a path through the throng and pulled me along behind her until we got to a small open section of tables in the rear of the dining area. I ordered the a cup of the Miso soup, Poke, the Three Salmon Sashimi(salmon, smoked salmon, and salmon eggs), and shot of Sake(warmed). The Poke was not listed on the menu — I asked and they said they have it on their lunch menu. The Miso soup was average, the Poke had lots of chunks of mango and cucumbers, and very little tuna, and was very bland. However, the Three Salmon Sashimi dish was very good. My server asked me what I thought of the Poke. I’ve eaten a lot of Poke dishes over the years — and theirs was the most disappointing I’ve had. Service was very good. My server asked if I wanted some Sake — on the house — for my disappointment with the Poke.

Good but I feel like it use to be better? Service is always great! Food is always the perfect temperature and comes out in a timely fashion. I guess what we ordered was on the bland side. We ordered the spicy tuna, starburst, spider, and St. Louis roll. The spicy tuna was the best and most flavorful. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and the tempura batter and dipping sauce was lack luster in flavor. For desert we ordered the strawberry cheesecake roll… delish! Our server Emily was great! Very helpful and didn’t hover. Check living social to see if the have a voucher available.

I moved from Southern California the land of great sushi to St. Louis. Drunken fish is the only place I found that even resembles California sushi. I recommend the starburst roll the white Tiger roll and even enjoy the fried Philly roll even though that’s not really sushi.

Barring the surprisingly tasty spicy salmon roll(rolled-in tempura bits add a nice crunch), which is only $ 5 during happy hour, the food and drink here is mediocre and overpriced. If you are really craving sushi, then come during happy hour(Mon-Fri: 11am-12 pm, 4−6pm, 10pm-close) for friendlier prices. But don’t get the Drunken Fish Bowl. The components may sound tasty individually, but when mixed together, it tastes like cough syrup. Drunken Fish can be a little difficult to locate — just go through the door by Fuzzy’s, up the escalator, and then Drunken Fish is to your left. The waitstaff is friendly and ready to make recommendations, so you’ll enjoy your experience here in the end.

We had an impromptu group of 18 swing by for happy hour. Our chicken spring rolls, edamame hummus, gyozas(pot stickers), and shrimp tempura were served promptly and deliciously just moments after our cocktails arrived!(Try the«Mr. Miyagi» it’s great!) Our served(Zack/Zach/Zak?) wasn’t ever overwhelmed despite our repetitive drink orders(including one quickly cleaned spill) and the manager(Jamie/Jaime) was great at checking in on our rowdy bunch to make sure things were great. We will be coming back for sure!

Our experience here was topnotch! Probably because we ate at around 5pm when the resto is not that full yet. So that’s a tip for a good experience. The food is beyond what we expected, the udon is a must try, I hesitated at first but decided to go with it and I was happy to make the right decision. My wife and son can’t resist trying my udon so it ended up like they ate more than half of my udon. :-) Their order was a chicken katsu and chicken danori. Which are pretty decent in itself, those were served hot and crispy! We are definitely coming back here and try other variations of their sushi. And by the way, they retain a japanese chef there so that tells you that you will be experiencing some great food.

Best sushi in town! I have a few recommendations as myself and several friends frequent there! Asian lettuce wraps, spicy butterfly, spicy Eskimo, red dragon are amount our favorites! Servers are knowledgeable and friendly. Our favorites are Sean, Valentino, and Angela! If there is ever a time that ticket times are running slower than normal(yes, people this does happen from time to time in every restaurant! People get sick, have a death in the family etc. life happens) they are always very apologetic and let you know aprox time. As I mentioned above myself and my friends frequent here. At least once a week. I’d not like to speak ill on any other reviewers however, I will say it has never smelled in the 9 years I’ve been going, I’ve never had a terrible experience, and I’ve visited many sushi restaurants around the U.S. And this one is for sure in the top 10 list!

My boyfriend and I come here very often, at least once or twice a month. I will say though this location is very small and always has a wait. Every single time we come it is full and we are glad we make a reservation. We have learned to do that if we come to this location because the few times we didn’t we end up sitting outside. Which if you haven’t been here, its not really outside, its indoors but outside the restaurant… very strange feeling sometimes. Especially because there is a radio station across from where you’re sitting and they have all glass windows. I can’t help but watch them the whole time. Either way we still come here all he time because we love sushi so much and they do have a great menu. We usually order a udon noodle bowl, and a few rolls and share everything. Our favorite is the wonder woman roll, which has a cucumber wrap. I don’t see the cucumber wrap in very many places, and is such a nice change from the standard seaweed. We also like the Drunken Fish and starburst rolls. All of their rolls are really good though, so you cant really go wrong. Haven’t had a bad meal from here yet, and the service is pretty good once you get sat. They also have a rewards card you can sign up for if you come frequently.
