— fries are subpar. I love fries and didn’t eat mine at all. Even after smothering them with ketchup. They have no seasoning so they taste like the oil they were cooked in. — nice place adequate seating. 3 larger tables and then a bar sitting area. Nicely remodeled — pretty quick service. I went during lunch hour and the place was pretty dead. I was able to walk in take my time and be out in 30min — I got the loaded mac n cheese corn dog. Awesome — menu is really large. I recommend looking at it before you get there. — reasonably priced combis. 2 dogs for 10 with a drink or 1 with fries and a drink for 6

Hands down, Dogs ‘n Fry’s is simply amazing, everything from the food to the service here rocks! I first discovered this almost hidden gem based on reviews from Mark P & Christian K, and became a fan immediately after my first visit. Dogs ‘n Fry’s shares its space in a small non descriptive building with a Quick Mart, barber shop and another business or two. Inside seating is limited to just a few tables and a bar along the window. Luckily each of my visits have been just outside of the peak hours, so had been able to find a seat pretty easily each time. However be warned that dining during peak lunch or dinner hours I can see it being very difficult to get a seat here. Ordering is pretty simple, you place your order at the counter, and don’t be afraid to ask for a recommendation if you are torn between two dogs. Next just take a seat and wait for your food to be brought out. As far as the food goes there is a pretty large menu ranging from a simple hot dog, corn dogs, to the premium ones that will leave you wanting to come back again and again. So far I have tried Firecracker Dog, Mac & Cheese Dog, and the Monte Cristo Dog, so far all have been spot on. Now the fry’s come seasoned, however do yourself a favor and go ahead and upgrade to premium fry’s which can be topped just like most of the dogs. I have tried only two, the Pizza Fry’s and the S’mores Fry’s, I finally caved in and tried the S’mores Fry’s after being recommended by their staff three times, yes it was good too. Firecracker Dog — a turkey bacon wrapped Nathans all beef hot dog topped with spicy queso cheese and a spicy raspberry sauce and topped with green onions. ***** — 5 Star Dog! I opted for the dog without the green onions, and have to admit that this was a great hot dog, there was a slight crisp from the bacon and a little sweet kick from the queso and raspberry sauce. Monte Cristo Dog — an egg wrapped Nathans all beef hot dog topped with queso cheese, strawberry jam and hickory smoked turkey bacon. ***** — 5 Star Dog! This took the Monte Cristo to a whole new level, overall a solid premium hot dog with delicious flavor. Pizza Fry’s — Seasoned House Fry’s topped with pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese sauce, oregano, and pepperoni. ***** — 5 Star Fry’s So I have to admit that 2 out of three visits, I have went with the Pizza Fry’s they are just that good. The mozzarella cheese sauce goes great with the slight oregano seasoning however the pizza sauce and pepperoni push it to the next level, order these! S’more’s Fry’s — Seasoned House Fry’s topped with a marshmallow sauce, chocolate and graham cracker crumbs. *** — 3 Star Fry’s! I ordered this after being told how good it was after 3 visits, and I have to admit that it was great. However I would recommend this as an item to share with the table, and not as you side. Its sweet and a bit too much for one person, simply put order this and split it with a friend or two. Overall Dogs ‘n Fry’s is a solid 5 star experience, my only complaint is that it’s out of the way for me and it usually requires a special trip just for a hot dog, but damn is it worth it!

So good, easily compares to Steve’s Hot Dogs. In a weird spot for a restaurant, but I hope they keep doing well.

I had the Philly Cheese Steak Hot Dog and it was good, you get a gourmet bun which is burned in with their name, how coo is that. You have to respect a place that takes the time to put their name on the bun, so many just give you generic bun. The hot dog I had was clean and crisp with a nice snap to it, a real gourmet hot dog, not the cheap doughy one you get at some places. I can tell this was no garbage meat, they used some real quality ingredients in these hot dogs and meat included. The steak meat and cheese was great, i would be sure to order this one again, however, they have so many to choose from I don’t want to get stuck on a favorite just yet. I had the Philly Cheese Steak Combo and you know what, they can make your fries taste like your hot dog for the full experience and effect of your topping. How sweet is that! The fires are good as they can get I am sure, I ate everything and enjoyed the whole experience. This used to be the spot of another restaurant that closed, I hope this does not happen to them, I love these hot dogs. You pull up on the lot and they are located in a small strip-mall, you can park right in front and there is plenty of parking here. When you walk in you can see the counter and a long list of hot dogs that they have available on the wall. They have a bar set up by the windows and you can order a gourmet hot dog and sit there are you can seat on the bench like seating, or what I call community tables, which is cool and you can look out of the windows. There is a fountain soda machine if you the drinks are self served, as last time there they did not serve alcohol.

My son was in town and we picked up my wife at work during her lunch hour and for all of us, it was our first time eating at Dogs n Frys. The menu was slightly overwhelming in its scope but the nice young lady behind the counter was happy enough to wait while we studied it. I ordered the chili dog which came with house chili, cheese, diced onions, and was topped with Fritos and sour cream. My wife got the Mac ‘n Cheese dog, that had macaroni and cheese, seasoned bread crumbs, and was topped with bacon flavored bits We split an order of hand-cut fries. I was happy to see they had Fritz’s, my favorite root beer. My son ordered the Pizza Dog with Queso Blanco, Marinara sauce, Turkey pepperoni, and oregano. He also got an order of Mac n Cheese fries. All of the hot dogs came with what looks like a brand with the name Dogs n Frys on them. My son and I hoped for the best. The last hot dog specialty place we went to was a big disappointment. This one — EXCELLENT! The hot dogs had a crisp crunchy skin that we all love. They were delicious and a nice size to play with all of the toppings. The portions were generous, in fact even splitting the fries we couldn’t finish them all. My wife works in the area and we’re always on the look out for good places to eat when we meet once a week for lunch. We will definitely add Dogs n Frys to our list of favorite Florissant restaurants. The service was great, the restaurant clean, and the food delicious. That is why this little gem gets 5 stars from me. __________________________________________________________________________ OHNO! We went back on 1÷7÷16 after I raved about this place here and on Facebook. Same time, around 11:30AM. I ordered the same thing as before, the chili dog with cheese, diced onions, Fritos and sour cream. My wife ordered the same thing. HUGEDIFFERENCEFROMTHEFIRSTTIMEWEWENTTHERE. Other than the hot dog and bun all of the portions were skimpy. Whereas the first time I couldn’t even see the hot dog because it was smothered in chili, this time I had to look for the chili. There was a little on each side of the hot dog. I couldn’t even find the cheese or the Fritos. There were a few diced onions, and a squirt or two of sour cream. There were busy so I didn’t complain. We’ll give them another chance but we won’t rush back there. For an $ 18 hot dog lunch for two(we split an order of fries) there are tons of places in the area that are more consistent. Because of today’s experience I’m revising my evaluation to 3 stars from 5. A good restaurant must be consistent.

Best fries ever and I got a chili dog and it was delicious I suggest eating at the restaurant as the fries lost their crunch in the styro to go container

We finally took a trip out to the Florissant area to try this place out. We were greeted by a lovely young lady at the counter who walked us through the menu and even gave us a few of her favorite menu recommendations. My friends and I all ordered a variety of different dogs and fries just to have an assortment at our table. Upon trying everything we were surprised at how delicious it was! Every bite was full of flavor, not overly seasoned, as we hoped it would be. This place was well worth the visit and I look forward to visiting again!

I can finally leave a five star review for a restaurant in the St. Louis area. First let me start off by saying the ladies that greeted me were very personable. They explained the menu board to me nicely. But I kind of knew what I was going to get when I walked in. Ordered the chili dog and cheese fries. This place actually knows how to cook french fries. And the chili dog was excellent better than I expected. So give it a shot you won’t be disappointed.

WOW! This place is AMAZING! The great food makes up for the location being off the beaten path and the bathrooms not being the cleanest. Psh — I can totally overlook that for great food at a great price! I’ve had the chili cheese dog and the mexican dog and they were both tasty! This place gets packed so just make sure to come during a slow time to get a good seat and the best service. I’ll be back again and again and again — thats for sure!

If you can impress someone with something as simple as hotdogs and French fries, then you are doing something right. The food here is really good and they always seem to be coming up with creative combinations.

The only time I eat hot dogs is in Chicago at Portiilo’s. This joint is a game changer. I’m so glad my friend convinced me to try it! It’s small but super clean and the workers are amazing. Tons of classics and a bunch of yummy combo toppings. The French fries are to die for, get them loaded. This place is a hidden gem.

I have a huge craving for hot dogs and since we aren’t in Chicago with a Portillo’s, I was on the hunt for a good hot dog place in St. Louis via Unilocal and found Dogs n Frys! I asked a friend at work about it and he said hubs & I should most def visit as we would be pleasantly surprised. First let me start off by saying not to let the outside drive you off. It’s in kind of a run down strip mall next to a liquor store and a beauty salon in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Considering the Unilocal reviews and personal recommendation, we decided to go in anyway. The atmosphere inside is kind of like a concession stand with the ordering area, regular menu and special menu in the background with the soda fountain and ketchup & mustard stand by bench seating. It’s definitely industrial modern look inside, small but as you wait for your hot dog a seat will most likely open up if it isn’t too busy. The gentleman behind the counter was very personal and good at small talk. He took our order on an iPad and there were four orders ahead of us. For two specialty combos and drinks it was $ 18.xx. We waited for about 15mins as families started to trickle in behind us. We got a seat at the bench table against the wall about five minutes before we were served. Hubs got the Western Dog Combo with a Fitz’s Root Beer(his company makes their boxes after all) and I got a Chili dog combo with a fountain pepsi, both seasoned fries. The fries were hot and amazingly seasoned with the skin still on them. The Western Dog looked amazing and hubs said it was delicious. The chili dog hit the spot and the Fritos were the icing on the cake. I ate it all and barely had room for fries. I have to say while it was far from our residence(about 30miles), it was well worth it. I think it almost beats Portillo’s!!! We will be back and we won’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.(The lack of fifth star is for lack of seating and as we were getting ready to leave people were standing to eat.)

First time customer today. I went there with my 9 year old son. we sat at the counter which had a great view of the outside. he got a corn dog and I got chili mac fries. both were very good. the place was small and it was very clean. The staff was friendly. Even the customers were friendly. as one was walking out the door she stopped and asked me what I got. I told her and she was excited about it. I would come here often.

Let me begin by saying that if you have not yet paid this establishment a visit I can no longer associate with you. I can not even formulate a sentence to elaborate the diversity of the menu. It’s hotdogs, but not your average hotdogs, the most delectable hotdogs one could imagine. It took me an unknown amount of time to determine what I should consume so I can’t tell you with certainty what I ordered. Nevertheless, I can say that it dulcified my most savoring taste buds. The fries; however could I commence an assessment of such succulent fries. Mine came varied & assorted with coleslaw, bacon & the most savory bbq sauce known to man. My only hope in life is that I lived closer. Maybe I should purchase real estate within the vicinity? Dogs ‘n Frys has prevailed my wildest dreams & I will tell everyone. Ok, by everyone I mean Unilocal & random strangers who converse with me about hotdogs. I can’t believe people don’t know about this place. Also, I can’t forget to mention that the man operating the place greeted me by name & asked my boyfriend his name all while introducing himself. He was conversational to the perfect extent & seemed to care deeply how the company is portrayed. Class act. I will most definitely be back!

Hot Doggin’ It Up! Florissant is much like any other Suburb town, but some things stand out about this fairly large city in North County Saint Louis. We have local staples: Old Town Donuts, Pirrone’s Pizza, Fritz’s Frozen Custard, Pearl Café, etc. However, there’s a new dog in Flo Town, and he might be added to the list of staple, Dog ‘n Frys! I constantly drive by this little place, tucked quietly in a shopping center on the corner of Charbonier and Paul Ave. I’ve been meaning to check it out, but the opportunity arose when my dad had some coupons for the place. I wouldn’t miss my chance! The setup is pretty simple. You walk in and order at a the counter, and the rest of the room has seats surrounding the perimeter and picnic style tables in the center. DNF covers all areas of the palate, from sweet and savory to hot and spicy. My dad ordered a Chicago style dog, but I went with a new menu item, The Dude! It was a beef frank, covered with gravy, bacon, onion straws, and green onions. My dog might seem out of your element, but as far as I’m concerned, The Dude Abides! Also, big shout out for the seasoned hand-cut fries! I was digging those spuds. That little shopping center has seen many things come and go, but here’s hoping DNF can stand the test of time!

First visit on a Thursday evening. Nice parking lot. Restaurant very clean. Steady stream of customers, all carry out. Lady at the counter very friendly and prompt. They have a chalkboard menu and a monitor. Very cool. The variety here is amazing. And everything. Sounds good. A lot of dog and fry variety. I got the OMazing Grace, chili dog, and Chicago dog. My favorite was the chili dog and the OMazig Grace was second fav. The hot dog had good snap, juicy, tasty, large. The toppings are amazing. Fresh. Plentiful. Tasty. I didn’t like the bun much. Maybe too eggy. Maybe not soft or moist or warm enough. It’s so cool they brand their name on it but for now I’m not a huge fan. I got the chili cheese fries. These were delicious and they did not skimp. Would get again. They have a fry with ice cream but I didn’t get it yet… Overall a great neighborhood place. The flavors are there and very tasty. Good quality. Generous with the ingredients. Give it a try! I want to try all the options! 3 dogs and fries. $ 21.04.

My friend, who is a hot dog nut, suggested we come so that I could check it out. I love a good dog, and I must say that this place didn’t disappoint. The menu includes creative topping for the hot dogs and fresh cut French fries. Options include the Mac n Cheese Dog, Early Bird Dog with a fried egg, and the Hot and Spicy Dog with sriracha, jalapenos and fire hot Cheetos. They even have a veggie tofu dog. Perhaps the most unusual offering is the Ice Cream and Fries served with a choice of vanilla or chocolate. After a thorough review of the menu, I decided on the Cali Dog. This juicy baby came with beef-bacon, pepper jack cheese, seared jalapenos and BBQ Sauce. It was the best frankfurter I’ve had in quite some time and the ratio of toppings to bread to dog were just right. The side of fires that came with it were perfectly cooked and thick enough for my liking. Overall, I just don’t think it gets much better than this. They even have the restaurant name branded into the side of the bun. How cool is that?!
