I’m normally a big fan of Dierbergs because I feel like they provide a middle ground for those of us who want a wide-range of higher quality products without spending our Whole Paycheck. The employees are also normally friendly. The Tesson Ferry location is basically a Schnucks wearing a Dierbergs mask. We only come here when time constraints demand it. The selection is limited. The layout of the store makes zero sense and is very different from most of the other locations in town. If you ask an employee for help, they’re often rude. I can’t tell you the number of times an employee has asked if I need help if I so much as look confused in other Dierbergs. Here, you’re treated like an imposition. I am not joking when I say that one of the top three reasons that I will not live so far south that this is my store is because of how important a quality, convenient grocery shopping experience is to me. This store cannot possibly provide that.

With Dierbergs, I can trust that no matter what I purchase I know it will be of great quality. Prices are a little high but the food is well kept organized and fresh!

Lately they don’t have the good deli turkey options and the plain turkey is not worth the price! The manager seemed to not know much about his job because he was behind the western union counter and couldn’t answer a few simple questions I had he told me to call the 1800 number! Thanks glad I came to you for help

Love the fresh produce and the staff! The salad bar is fantastic!!! My only complaint is the older population trying to kill people on the parking lot.

I have stopped going to this Dierbergs for my usual groceries. The last few times I’ve bought fruit the selection has been poor, and the pieces I bought were rotten in the middle. Also, fairly certain my boyfriend got food poisoning from some bad deli meat they sold us. No bueno.

I recently moved to the area and obviously have never heard of a Dierbergs before… so I had to do a little shopping all over town to see what items were in each store. This is a nice choice — -and I am intriqued by the cooking class space most of all and cannot wait to sign up for some fun and exciting offerings. The store is clean, large, and has a nice selection of items that us foodies like. Gourmet Cheeses, Healthy and Organic options., Decent looking meats… The most exciting thing I am finding is having wine, beer, and hard liquor available in the grocery store… I LOVETHIS!

Dierberg’s is not a bargain grocery store like Aldi, Save A Lot, and Shop & Save. It can even be higher than Schnuck’s on many items, but if you want an awesome selection of meat, produce, seafood, deli, and bakery items… they are superior to the discount grocers mentioned. And, like Schnuck’s, they are a locally owned chain. I order sushi here regularly. If you call the deli and ask for the sushi person, you can order ahead and it will be made fresh when you arrive. I also like Dierberg’s because they will cook your seafood for free at the seafood counter. Schnuck’s does this, as well. But, the quality and choices are much better at Dierberg’s. I also prefer to buy produce and organic goods at Dierberg’s. Quality all the way. Especially at this location. Locations vary. The only beef I have with Dierberg’s, is that they will not invest/locate in the City limits. That to me is a slap in the face for St. Louis. Especially since it is locally owned.

I love Dierbergs!!! I do not love this location. I usually try to avoid Tesson as much as possible. It is a busy road in front of a hospital and i am not sure if anyone is mentally fit enough to drive there. i almost always come close to getting slammed into by some one not paying attention to what they are doing. today in the parking lot alone a lady waited til i was out of my car to pull out of her spot. almost hitting me and the car pulling out of their space. then on the way out my car was almost slammed into again. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

When did this place get such a good selection of oraganic and vegetarian/vegan fair??? I just moved home and was… well, not so much missing my Shaw’s with it’s hordes of BU freshman buying frozen pizzas, but was desperately missing the fairly decent vegetarian/organic section I had grown so accustomed to over the past few years. I ran an errand for my parents and was shocked. I was thrilled to be able to get my soy pommegranite chip ice cream and my toffuti(that I used to have to drive to Brentwood and get at Whole Foods) Finally, somewhere in South County helping a vegetarian girl with a lactose problem out. And in case you are interested, they still have the same sick collection of teeny bopper magazines they had when I was thirteen. Good to know the Andrew Keegans and Jonathon Taylor Thomases of today still have a home at Dierbergs.
