Just a short walk from the Repritory Theatre, this is a fantastic dinner option! The restaurant was packed on a Saturday night, but we had reservations so we were sat straight away. Our waiter was very hospitable and professional. I was happy with their varied and extensive by the glass wine list. I ordered the Oregon Pinot Gris to drink then ordered the Greek Salad sans-cheese and roasted cauliflower with spinach and tomatoes. Our food came out promptly with the exception of my boyfriend’s mom’s main dish, which followed about 5 minutes later. My food was fantastic! The salad portion was generous and the cauliflower was fantastic. For my second glass of wine, I enjoyed a Sangiovese. All of us enjoyed our meals and experience and they even took the delayed dish off the bill. 5 stars!

I ordered carryout. I ordered the Cubano sandwich, which had pulled pork on it and ham. It was very good for the price point. Weirdly enough my favorite thing I had was their collard greens which were very good as well. All in all definitely worth the money and I imagine everything on their menu is good. Very good food. It really is worthy of five stars.

I really wanted to be impressed with this place, but it fell flat for me. My friends have been here for dessert, so I was excited to try their dessert menu. We got there on a Wednesday night, and it was really busy! That is a good thing, it means everyone loves it! I came here with my husband and friends to get dessert, and was told the bread pudding is fantastic. I don’t like cherries, so I decided to skip that and go for the special– red velvet cake! I was reassured it was big, just what I wanted! I also was in the mood for hot chocolate so I ordered the mint cocoa. When I got the cocoa, it tasted like it had no mint and was more milky then chocolate, so I was disappointed. I thought maybe they accidentally gave me the wrong cocoa. I politely asked the server if I could get another one, as I didn’t taste any mint. It had whip cream on it, and I didn’t want to be rude, so I only took a few sips. The server looked at me like it was my problem and grudgingly took it back. It’s just cocoa, and I was polite– whatever. So she brings it back. Just sad. They dumped my cup and put more in it and didn’t bother to put any whip cream on it! It looked pitiful! I only had a small taste of my whip cream. That really grinded my gears. Well, back to the cake! It was delicious! The frosting was amazing and the cake moist, it was the sugar fix I needed. Throughout the evening our server was hard to get ahold of, and it took forever to get our check. When we finally got it, we asked if she could split it, since we we had two couples. She said, well you didn’t tell me to. I don’t know what you got, tell me again. Seriously??? What is her problem? We politely told what we each got just so we could get out! She wasn’t terrible, but her facial expressions and passive aggressive attitude was irritating! She really spoiled my experience for the place. I most likely won’t be going back.

You just can’t beat Cyrano’s dessert. They have the best dessert around. Their bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and their sundaes are my favorite things to get, but honestly, everything is good.

Really disappointed. This was our first visit. We had tickets for the theater afterwards but thought we had gotten there in plenty of time and let our server know we had a deadline. She just told us «You and everyone else.» She then proceeded to ignore us most of the evening. Thankfully they had other wait staff bring out our food and keep our water glasses full or we might still be waiting. The food was very good but, with such poor service, there was no chance to sample what we have heard are excellent desserts. We had to get the hostess to chase down our bill after sitting with empty plates for ten minutes. The bill had not been split up and our server never came by to pick it up. I doubt that we will be back.

My wife and I were really looking forward to brunch, and while Cyranos has never been great, it was close to home, and usually at least a B-. Our eggs Benedict was delivered cold, and the biscuits and gravy were super light on the gravy. And, they served some weak salad as a side with the eggs Benedict instead of a starch. Hey Cyranos, if I was looking to be dissatisfied and unfulfilled, I would have stayed with my first wife. We are sticking with Scape.
This is a gigantic restaurant with ample seating and a nice ambience. Beverages: This is the perfect place for cocktails, coffee and cider. There is a wide variety of drink selections, and the cinnamon and caramel apple cider drinks are wonderful additions to the fall menu Starters: The New Orleans BBQ shrimp is quite tasty but by far my favorite thing to do is order the pomme frites with garlic mayo. These little guys are like crack, and even people who hate mayo seem to love the dipping sauce Entrees: The curried chicken salad is fantastic, though I wish they would consider serving it on different bread(it comes on two mini sandwich rolls). The BLT is also a good choice(the addition of avocado and chipotle sauce is pretty ingenious), and the club sandwich is humongous and satisfying. Dessert: I don’t even know where to start. The Brown Shugga pie is stupid good. It never would have occurred me to order it because I don’t sit around thinking about brown sugar, but a friend of mine did and I ate almost the whole thing. It’s ooey, gooey, rich and delicious. The key lime pie is also a spectacular pick, as is the apple crisp. I’ve had almost every dessert on the menu, and not one of them has been a disappointment. The carrot cake might be one of the biggest slabs you can get in the entire United States… and it is so worth every last calorie.

We stopped in for a light dinner and to try some desserts we’d heard so much about. The dinner was OK. They were reasonably priced and there was nothing wrong with dinner just not on the scale of their wonderful desserts. I tried the Caramel Brioche Bread which was excellent, really really good and my BF had the Cleopatra, which was also excellent. The service was so slow and we went most of the evening trying to flag down our waitress, who I never saw smile once. Just a so so experience but do go for dessert because both dishes were super good.

I’ve been here twice. Once for martinis and dessert, and yesterday for a bridal shower. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is great. I had the chocolate layer cake, which was delicious, and yesterday at the shower I had the spinach artichoke dip and the Cyrano’s special roast beef sandwiches with seasoned carrots. Everything was excellent! I will definitely be back again and although i did not plan the shower(or pay for it), i do recommend Cyrano’s for your party.

This place is know for their bread pudding and now I really understand why! It was quite a generous portion and it tasted supremely delicious!!! The rich caramel sauce and the towers of whipped cream on each side provided the perfect finishing touch. The pudding was moist and soft with bits that had caramalized and become chewy. Another favorite dessert I’ve had in the past was their Carrot Cake. And my husband is crazy about their Root Beer Float(featuring Fitz’s Root Beer). Go get yourself some fantastic desserts at Cyrano’s!

Great place to absolutely stuff yourself with really rich cake and sugar! It is a cute date spot. Suggest the carrot cake and bread pudding.

Oh. My. God. The bread pudding?! Skip everything else; it is THAT incredible. Sticky, ooey gooey, moist, decadent — insert every other adjective that is borderline sexual because Cyrano’s bread pudding is off the chain. You’ll compare every other bread pudding you’ll ever have to Cyrano’s for the rest of your life after this, and it will never measure up. Delicious. Note: we also had the brown shuga pie which was tasty as well, but the bread pudding stole the show.

Disclaimer: I have never eaten dinner here — only dessert foods! My boyfriend and I went here for a dessert date night… we had flavored martinis, top notch, and bread pudding… He suggested bread pudding and I said«What?! Do I look like a blue-hair to you?! Gross, who wants to smack their gums on bread pudding???» He looked me dead in the face, with a stone serious expression and said… «You don’t understand. I don’t like bread pudding at all, either, but this… this is different.» I shook my head and said I was in — since martinis at least were promised I knew I wasn’t getting a raw deal, well, and the company wasn’t so bad. ;) We were seated immediately in this cool looking in kind of a romantic-intimate environment that was still kind of funky cool. It was snowing outside, so it was really kind of perfect — there was a big fire going in the fireplace. We had martinis that were delicious, and then they brought us a the mecca of all desserts. A gorgeous plate of hot bread pudding with this amazing cinnamon caramel sauce. By far, amazing… it was just. delicious and my mind was forever changed about bread pudding. Perhaps, we will go back soon since this is so close to our house, and actually have DINNER and not just… «Booze and bread puddings, please!»

Cyrano’s was one of the first true coffee houses in St. Louis. That being said it was really known for its desserts. So I had brunch. Somehow this makes sense. Cyrano’s is priced per item on the menu is under $ 11.00. But four people with no alcohol was $ 100.00 with tip. The portions are small the taste is small. I ordered bacon and eggs with fried red potatoes for brunch. It was good but not spectacular. I ordered their«crack pie» for dessert. And it is the correct name. It is addicting with it’s gooey butter filling and whipped cream topping. We were checking out Cyrano’s for my daughter-in-laws baby shower. When you factor in the price and the dessert it is a contender. What really made it a non starter was the small lot. With the 25 people invited the parking lot just won’t do the job. With guests lugging presents parking is a must.

My cousin brought me here for a birthday dessert on a Tuesday evening. The hostess greeted us and seated us promptly. Now once seated things got a little interesting. The dining room was NOT busy, but it seemed like forever before our server came over. My cousin was open to actually leaving. I talked her in to staying and we did. But we did have that feeling like, you need to ask for everything under the sun while the server is there, just in case they never return. lol I ordered the California BLT. And baby it was d-e-licious! The avocado provided a nice little something extra. So because, it is my birthday… I absolutely HAVE to order dessert. The bread pudding it will be, its one of my all time favorites. Their bread pudding has a cherry bourbon sauce with cherries and whip cream. The whip cream was yummy and the sauce was to die for. I could have done without the cherries. Not my cup of tea. All in all the night was ok, the food was YUMMY! So, I plan to give them another try for brunch. And this is why the I rated them 4 stars, b/c the food was good.

A friend of mine has been telling me to check this place out for quite some time now, and I should have listened to her sooner! The place has a funky, yet romantic, vibe to it. Vibrant colors, white lights strung about, sheer curtains surrounding a few of the tables, candles and fresh flowers on all of the tables… I was digging the atmosphere. It’s a perfect place for a date night or some time out with the girls. They are known for desserts and specialty drinks, but do offer a decent selection of food too. I came here with my husband on a Friday night and we were seated right away. We started with a baked goat cheese and spicy marinara dip that was served with garlic bread for dipping. OMG… delicious! It definitely has a kick to it, but it wasn’t overbearing, and the warm creamy goat cheese added the perfect balance. I chose the BLT sandwich for my main course, which was loaded with tons of crispy bacon. It could actually be named a BLTA here because it was also topped with avocado… nice touch! One more thing that made this BLT different from most is that chipotle mayo is used, so it had a nice spicy flavor that went well with the spicy dip we had. On a side note, I must add that there was way more dip than bread, so I saved it to go with my meal. I used some of the bacon on my sandwich for dipping, and who needs ketchup for fries when you’ve got this stuff on the table?! I swear, if my napkin were edible, I would have dipped it in this stuff. My husband ordered a roast beef sandwich and fries. It was served as two sliders with melted swiss cheese. He was boring and used the plain olé’ ketchup to go with his meal. :) We split a piece of carrot cake for dessert. Carrot cake is my absolute favorite dessert in the whole world, and I was anxious to see how it compared at this place that is so well known for their desserts. Verdict: it was very good, but still could not top my all-time fave in this city. What I did like about it is that they sprinkle toasted coconut on top of the cake. I’m a huge fan of coconut, so I thought this was a nice surprise and found that the flavors blended well together. Overall, it was a very enjoyable dinner. The one and only thing that knocked off a star for me was the slow service we received. The amount of time it took our server to greet us, the time between taking our drink order and coming back for our food order… it was bad enough that my husband even started a timer on his phone. The food helped to make up for that once we received it though.
