Best bar around! Great bucket specials during the games, friendly service, and you can order for from other restaurants and have it delivered. Great South City hangout!

Narrow little«dive» bar in South City on Watson that draws a mixed crowd of «hoosiers,» locals, sports fans, and the drinking class. The three TVs over the bar make this a good spot to watch St. Louis sports(GREAT for Blues games, especially playoff games). Crowd can get loud and lively. Our main bartender was fast and efficient, but not too friendly. Prices are reasonable. Oddly, there was a pseudo-server – whom I do not think actually works there – who was trying to help out the bartender when really busy, but she was terrible. They have a nice TouchTunes jukebox with very good speakers/sound. The owner of Ed’s Beds – which is next door – is often here and Crazy Ed adds a lot of character to the place. One local had their dog at the bar too. Fun, but very South City. No food, but you can go across the street to bring food over. Some folks order Jimmy Johns or pizza – which was weird, but cool. Very friendly bar… 10 strangers high-fived me when the Blues scored a goal. I would give it 3.5 stars, but it’s 5 stars if Crazy Ed is there… hence my overly high 4-star rating.

I wasn’t a fan of this bar. It’s a hit or mess as far as customers go. Some nights busy and others there is no one. I have heard the bartenders Are nice.

Ive gone to this bar a few times and it has never disappointed. The crowds are always friendly and receptive. The bartenders that I have met are JR and Megan. They both make you feel well attended to and not left out and thirsty. The bar itself is very clean and smoke free and exactly what you need when you just want a neighborhood bar to relax at.

Me and the wife stopped by before dinner at Biggies and it was great. I remembered it as a dump with cheap beer but it was clean, with nice TVs and still low prices. I missed shuffleboard but that table leaned to the left. The owner said they remodeled a year or so ago and it was much needed and looks great. We even came back for a nightcap when we were done eating. Love the new place and people in there were great too. Keep up the good work, we will be back! Rick

So glad we discovered Claudia’s. Our first visit in, we met JR, an awesome guy and great bartender. Really made us feel welcome. The last 3 times we have had Megan, who is very fun, very attentive and makes you feel like a regular. We really love this place.

Claudia’s is easily one of my favorite spots to go in the South City area of St. Louis. It’s a comfortable, nice setting unlike a lot of the run down«hole in the wall» bars I’ve been to in the area. The service is prompt, the drinks are good, and every time I’ve been there I had a blast with everyone playing a variety of good music. If you’re looking for a place to get the night started, this is it.

Claudia’s is my favorite bar! We live in the neighborhood and are there almost weekly. Great friendly service. We have been coming here since it was Hatfields. Perfect South City Jem!

Checked out this place the other day and didn’t know what to expect. Watched the Birds game there and had a great time. Small place but big screen tvs everywhere. It was a great place to watch the game. Good drink specials, buckets were 12 bucks. Used to go to Malle’s on Hampton but place is a much better substitute. Very clean, nice tvs, good drink selection, and staff is great. Will definitely be going there again!

Hmmmm… Where do I start??? Well to begin with we walked in on a sad Friday night. The Cardinals lost and my buddy and me were trying to quench our sorrows. The bartender Megan was clearly more interested in serving her friends at the end of the bar. These were the quintessential South side Hoosier chicks. One extremely loud 20 something Blonde in heels she could barely walk in and two older brunettes of middling age. The bartender Megan kept leaving the bar unattended to head out the back door with these fine specimens of humanity to do heaven only knows what. If I were a less than honest South City Hoosier myself I could have robbed the bar blind. The few gentlemen left at the bar were so worried about where the bartender went with her friends that they wouldn’t have even noticed me pilfering the beer. It’s really kinda sad. The service wasn’t bad. Just indifferent. Had to wait to order between the many walks to the alley to order but otherwise received my beer in an orderly fashion. Had to give one star for the disappearing bartender. I’m afraid if this continues then a good South City Hoosier bar will be robbed blind.

Wasn’t sure what to expect at Claudia’s after reading the reviews, but we had a very nice time. I was one of a group of 7 over-fifty women and found everyone very friendly. We frequent a local bar where we are from and would be thrilled if our bartender was half as good as the one we had today! Great place and we’ll definitely be back!

The owner is cold as ice. Walked into a nearly empty bar so you’d think she’d be thrilled to have a few patrons. Not the case. Seemed down right bothered. One and done. Cross Claudia’s off your list of pubs to try.

We have been Hatfield’s patrons for almost 7 years, has always been a cozy, fun place, not anymore. First, the decision to remove the shuffleboard table was an extremely bad call, now all there is is a crappy juke box with a horrible selection, so most plays will cost a dollar since you will have to search for it, we went there last weekend, first time we had been there since the new ownership, so you could say it was our first impression of the new place, beers were $ 4,($ 3 for domestic) and $ 6 for shots. It was my wife’s birthday and even though I mentioned it twice, the guy never acknowledged it, I am aware that birthday deals are not a requirement in the bar business, but come on, really? Not to mention the owner was bartending, whom admittedly stated he had NO experience and was filling in for his daughter, and several times I saw people behind the bar making their own drinks! Are you kidding me?! Get your shit together and hire some bartenders! We normally would always go there with a big crowd, and spend good money, but after last weekend we will NEVER return, and will encourage our friends to do the same, very disappointing.

This is a really good place to go if you are in the South City area! Everyone is nice as hell and you can always count on seeing Claudia at the end of the bar.(around 10:30−11pm) It has shuffleboard, silver strike and that touch screen game. There is also a jukebox and 2 TVs. One last thing, the sign outside says HATFIELDS. CASHONLY!
