It’s kind of hard to get two stars for a gas station, but having not been here before tonight, I was looking for a quick stop and get gas and be on my way experience. I traditionally avoid Shell stations thanks to a long-​time grudge against the company stemming from their price hiking shenanigans after ⁹⁄₁₁. (the area I lived in at the time had several stations that kept decent prices while Shell raised theirs to nearly $ 6/​gallon compared to the then $ 2 everyone else was charging!)
Regardless, that grudge aside, I was in need of gas, and Shell was right there in my path, so I pulled in. Again, like I said, it’s hard to screw this up. You have gas, I pump gas, gas doesn’t make my car sputter and die, 3 stars and we’re good. Additional stars for interior/​bathrooms, other conveniences, etc.
This gas pump was the slowest I’ve ever used! I literally sat there watching the counter go up at a snails pace for several minutes before I remembered to «check-​in» with my Unilocal Ap. Then, despite its glorious head start, the pump lost the race for me to search, locate, check in, type in a tip, see a sign on the pump that says «zip in Zip out,» take a photo of the sign, upload the photo, type a description of the photo, then add another comment on how slow the pump was. As a matter of fact, I stopped here sometime around 7pm, I’m pretty sure the guy behind me is still pumping his gas right now! (it’s 10pm)
2 stars because my car did make it home without blowing up or sputtering to a stall, so the gas must be decent. but if you really need to stop for gas along this route, there is a Mobile station across the street, you might give it a try. If Shell is your ticket, grab a Snickers, it’s gonna be a while!
