I think I ordered wrong. I got the chicken nachos which weren’t that great. Soggy chips. Must have been assembled early and left to sit while everyone else’s dishes were prepared. My wife got the veggie enchiladas and they were a lot better than what I had. The kids were disappointed in the kids chicken fajitas and looking at them I would have been too. Good thin chips and a nice salsa.

In case you’re in the mood for a nice meal with good service please go elsewhere. The quality of steak has decreased significantly over the past several months to the point where I passed on the to-go bag for my dog. Coupled with perhaps the worst and most inattentive service I have ever experienced puts this place on the DONOTFREQUENT list. Absolutely abysmal.

Impeccable service today by Lee B! Friendly, prompt, anticipated my needs, dropped the check before asked. Four, not five stars, as the veggies in my shrimp bowl tasted like cooking fuel. Great music.

For a chain«Mexican» place, I actually really like Chevy’s. This is a place I can go for a quick and filling cheap meal. Service is always good here, which I appreciate. I like their tostada salad with veggies instead of meat. Their dressing is really good, the salad has a ton of goodies in it and is gigantic. I always take it home for at least another meal. Their chips and salsa are really good. It’s hard not to fill up on them! My husband is always satisfied too. Not much more to ask for for the standard Tex-Mex cuisine.

Went to dinner here last night to celebrate my dad’s birthday with some of the family. Hadn’t been to a Chevy’s since the one in Ellisville close and was looking forward to the experience. Things started off pretty well, as we were seated promptly and received our drinks. The service was friendly, but unfortunately forgetful or distracted. On multiple occasions we attempted to flag someone down for things such as a glass of water, extra napkins, etc., as they weren’t brought in the first place. They did the«birthday» thing for my dad which I think was a first for him, though the sombrero scratched his head. With regards to the food, things were OK, though I learned the hard way that mayonnaise(aioli) is now on tacos. I’m probably one of the few people on the planet that doesn’t like mayo and always thought chain restaurant mexican was a safe haven for not having to worry. I ordered a chicken soft taco and learned that it’s now a part of it rather than old school sour cream. Didn’t finish it. I’ll need to be more careful in the future. So, it was overall a so-so experience. Service could have been better and still not sure I comprehend how mayo and Mexican goes together.

Neither the best nor worst Mexican restaurant in town. Chips and salsa are good, service is good, atmosphere is good. Had the mesquite grilled tacos. Wasn’t tasting too much mesquite, but the meal was fine. The guacamole prepared table-side was tasty, but less spicy than I prefer. Worth a visit.

There’s no reason to go here. Awful salsa and chips, truly terrible. I’m hesitant to give it one star because those are reserved for the truly mindblowingly awful joints that will give you dysentery. The menu is really expensive and it always seems dead in there.

Good place to hang out with friends & family for weekends. Delicious dipping sauce for the chips. Good fajitas & chimichangas ;)

Love the food here. Can’t beat the table side guacamole and it’s a clean and relaxing environment.

Decent chips and salsa. My husband likes their queso. I always get the combination plate and wind up having to take it home, I can’t eat it all so that’s a pretty good deal. Overall though a bit pricey and as more and more Mexican restaurants open up we go here less and less. 1 word of caution if you go there, the floors are always slippery and no one wants to fall on their butts just to get some food so be careful.

I’ve been going to Chevy’s with my family for years. It definitely used to be better, but I still enjoy eating here and keep coming back. Recommend: Flautas, fajitas, fajita nachos, grilled chicken tacos, house margarita, original quesadilla DONOTGETTHEGUACUNLESSTHEYHAVEREALAVOCADOS. Guacamole from a bag simply tastes NASTY. Why would a waiter even offer that to a customer? Gross. Service is about average. For the price, it’s a really decent dining experience.

Best salsa I have ever had. The chips are warm, the food is hot and the Conversation, atmosphere, and beer are chill. Lunch menu very budget friendly.. It can be a little expensive for dinner. Great place to meet up with co-workers after a long day at the office. They are great with large groups.

Went here and realized why I hadn’t been here in a while. Better and cheaper options just a few miles away. Taco Bell is one of them.

Decent food at decent prices. You can’t really go wrong with Chevy’s. Make sure you try the Ooey Gooey Chewy as dessert if you go out with a group. It’s so AMAZING.

Best chips & salsa! I’ve never had a bad experience with them. They’re prompt on getting your order out and everything really does taste fresh. I always get the chicken taquitos with jalapeño jelly, fajitas, or fajita nachos. Very delicious.

My office is right across the street. I should think of them more often. Great lunch I had the Fajitas. The service was quick and the food was hot. The only reason for the 4 stars was my rice was way to crispy.(it was burnt) other than that it was a fine lunch. I will be back!

I’ve always loved Chevy’s Fresh Mex. .. usually go to the location on Olive Street Road near I-170, but have been to the South County location several times. The location in South County is at 12466 Tesson Ferry Road — diagonally across from St. Anthony’s Medical Center. Was tipped off to the $ 10 all you can eat ribs on Wednesday and Thursday nights. So off to South County we went. For $ 10 they were actually very good — and it satisifed my rib craving. You get a ½ slab of ribs with your initial order, fries, and baked beans on the plant. No refills of the sides(fries or beans), but you will get 3 ribs with each order after your order your first round. They are VERY meaty and had a good taste to them. I would recommend them if you are craving ribs and don’t want to wait in line at Pappy’s!

Thanks to a random email, my hubby had a great birthday at Chevy’s! The chips are awesome, and their salsa has gone up a few notches in improvement. Our server was extremely nice and ready to give whatever we needed to make the birthday special. We both ordered the flautas with rice and chimichanga. I enjoyed the flautas the best! We started hearing singing and joined in before we knew it was for my hubby. They gave him a sombrero and dessert to cap off his night. Thank you Chevy’s!

The only reason I give this place three stars is because the female bartender was awesome. Do not get the crab/shrimp enchiladas or fajitas. Do get: flautas, nachos.
