I wanted to write an update because last year when my husband and I went there were some things left to be desired such as a good selection of meat choices and customer services. This past weekend we went for our anniversary with another couple friend which was there first time and it was absolutely wonderful. They were very attentive, services was excellent and Sea Food Feast was outstanding and our couple friends loved it. I believe the reviews on here worked because it seems like manangement has step up training on customer service and better meat selections. We even got a free shot, we will be returning this time with my mom the ultimate critic

This place was fun. My father and I each had the Feast of Meats, and my mother had the Seafood Feast. First course was the salad bar. There were all the things you would expect, plus a few soups, some smoked salmon, lots of different meats, cheeses, fruits, and other things to nibble on. Most of the things I tried from there were very good. Next the Gauchos started bring different types of meat cooked in different ways to the table on swords to offer them to us. This is where the meal became seriously indulgent. They came at a steady pace until we told them to slow down. I had so many different types of pork, chicken, steak, and lamb that I honestly couldn’t describe them all to you. Most things were cooked exactly as I wanted(they asked for preferences at the beginning) and delicious. Best part about it was that anything you liked you can easily have more of. They will bring whatever you want back around to give you more. With the main course you get a potato dish and some caramelized bananas for palate cleansers. I would visit again, especially with friends.

I have been here twice and have not been disappointed both times. The service was wonderful, the people were very attentive with the food, drinks, etc. The first time I came here I had the feast of meats and it was awesome! I came out of there feeling really full. They had turkey, chicken, pork, and beef varieties. More recently, I tried the surf and feast and again, everything was delicious. There were some meats I like more than others but didn’t get to have more the second time the meats came around to the table because I wanted more seafood. I didn’t even get any sweets after. Overall, I had a nice dinning experience both times I went and would go back again. In fact, I’ve told my friends and colleagues so that they too can have a chance to experience something wonderful and different!

I originally visited Brazikat over a year ago and had an awful experience and vowed to never return because of the way that we were overlooked and neglected by our waiter not to mention the fact that the manager/owner to bent over backwards to make sure his friend dining next to us had an enjoyable experience. My first visit I had given Brazikat a two star rating, however my most recent experience has bumped them down to one. Last month I noticed a Living Social offer that advertised«$ 50 for Two Adult Feasts for Dinner» which was selling for $ 25, I carefully read the fine details and it sounded like an amazing deal so I purchased it. The fine print stated that the total value of the offer was $ 50, with the $ 25 Paid and a $ 25 Promotional. Based on the wording I assume that I would have already paid for my meal’s and would only have to worry with drinks and the 20+% tip, however I was mistaken. When I called to confirm I was informed that the Living Social coupon and was promptly informed that it was for $ 50 Off my total purchase of two adult feasts, which start at $ 39.99. Much like another Unilocaler had mentioned this was not made clear in the wording. Why do business owners have to be so deceptive with promotions, I have seen many other Groupon and LivingSocial offers where they clearly indicate you are paying $X amount for $X amount off your total bill. I am fine with that, and would not have had a problem had Brazikat done this. Instead, and in my opinion, they got creative with the wording in an attempt to draw in more business in, what I feel is, a bait and switch operation. I use discount vouchers maybe 10% of the time, and decided to give Brazikat another chance however they have left me less than impressed on two occasions. When it comes to Brazilian Churrascaria nowhere in Saint Louis is as authentic as the chains like Fogo de Chao or Texas de Brazil, however Brazikat does not even come close. The same can be said about Tucanos Brazilian Grill in St. Charles, however they do offer a much better buffet and their meal includes seafood and is at least $ 15 cheaper per person. Hopefully Saint Louis can get a REAL Brazilian Churrascaria near Ballpark Village in the future. This review is my opinion of the services offered by Brazikat in partnership with LivingSocial, I will say that I have communicated my issue to LivingSocial and am waiting on a response. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — Original Review — 01/01/2013(Dined at Brazikat on 12/31/2012) Overall I had high hopes when I saw that Brazikat had opened, since several months ago the closing of Bacana Brazil in Chesterfield, the only other Brazilian Churrascaria in St.Louis. I have to admit that my overall experience with Brazikat was a major letdown, first off the salad bar was lacking. It was missing many trademarks of other places like Texas de Brazil and Fugo de Chao. The salad bar also didn’t have any salad on my second trip back. I started to wonder if we would receive any mashed potatoes or bananas or bread, until it arrived rather late, which was setting us up for disappointment with our waiter later in the evening. The gauchos were very attentive, more so than our waiter who seemed overly pushy to get me a second glass of wine after I told him no. Once the meal was over we had to wait over 20 minutes from placing our desert order to receive it, meanwhile we watched 2 other tables each with other waiters order their desert after us and received it much sooner than my table. In fact our waiter only said they had 2 deserts available while the other waiters brought out a tray or 4 different items to choose from. After finishing desert it took nearly another 15 minutes to receive our bill. Customer service might be great here, however I can’t say for sure since our waiter wasn’t really concerned with providing us a great experience. Overall after dining in several other Churrascarias I can say that I will not be returning to Brazikat unless they make some major changes. On a side note I must add that the table next to me apparently knew the manager/owner, and while I was receiving extremely poor service I managed to watch the wait staff and a head goucho bend over backwards to treat this customer with VIP service, while he treated them with little respect. I felt that this was poor customer service, especially on a night like NYE when they were not overly busy. Shouldn’t all customers receive great customer service, I feel that providing exceptional customer service should be a major concern for any premium steakhouse.
