Great parking, upkeep, equipment at playground. Had a great time at the playground with 3 year old grandson. Love the soft floor of the playground and the picnic tables right in the middle of the park. Lots of fun things in the playground for all kids.

Nice small park in Ellisville. The roads are narrow and old and it feels a little run down. But they have a nice little dog park we love to take our fur baby too so he can run free. It also has some random paved trails in decent condition and some dirt ones in the forest. There is even a frisbee golf parks, ball fields, and aquatic center. Very few people are there which is nice but sometimes random cars drive/park in the lot by the dog park. Kinda seems like a drug deal is going down lol. Just feels weird. Overall an ok park for the area that my fur baby can run free at but if I wanna bike, hike, or walk I’d rather go a little further to Babler or Castlewood or even the train park down by Eureka.

Bluebird is a nice park in Ellisville. They have a bit of everything for everyone. A large aquatic center, nice size playground, fitness trail and even disc golf. They also have a bandstand where they have free concerts. While I don’t live in Ellisville, it would be a nice little park if you are close. However, if you are looking for more wide open spaces, Queeny or Castlewood might be more your speed.

My first time visiting Blue Bird Park was positive. The Farmer’s Market was decent, but I might have arrived too late to catch all of the fresh goodies. The concert afterwards was good, but the seating was a little uncomfortable because of the steep hill. We had to sit on our blankets because the hill was way too steep for our chairs — they tilted forward. Overall, a positive experience. I’ll likely try it out again, although next time I might arrive a bit earlier to catch more fresh produce at the Farmer’s Market(hopefully)!

The Great: Gorgeous paved walking/running/biking path thru the middle of a suburban«forest» with plenty of shade, and some hilly terrain. A handful of unpaved trails also scattered about the park, giving you a chance to hoof it on an actual trail. A wonderful, spacious aquatic center with water slides, kiddie pools, etc. It is what is is. A ton of fun. Well maintained tennis courts to give your rackets sitting in the back of your closet some well needed use. The Good: A very nice playground, with plenty of equipment for kids to wear themselves out on, but there isn’t much space around the equipment for children to scamper around, so kids getting into second grade and beyond will not have as much room as they would at say a Queeny, Des Peres, or The Butterfly House playgrounds. The Bad: There is a fitness trail, but half of the equipment is in need of some sprucing up, and the paved, westernmost part of the trail found on a hillside is beyond repair, and poses a definite tripping obstacle if you are doing anything over a slow walk. The Ugly: Worst disc golf course in the St. Louis area. By a large margin. Poorly laid out holes, unmarked basket targets, tee boxes, etc.

A wonderful suburban park with walking distance to many subdivisions and borders on the Klamberg Conservation area.
