Blowout Bar

My friend and I were in town for an event last night and decided to have our makeup and hair done. The girls did an incredible job and both services turned out amazing from the contouring of our faces, styling of the hair to the champagne, products used, friendly personalities and professionalism. We would highly recommend this salon, Shannon and her coworkers!

Had a relaxing time getting a blowout. The products smell fantastic, and I loved sipping on champagne while having my hair styled. It’s a very girlie/​glam salon– lots of pink, white, and black with a sparkly chandelier. Blowout Bar would be perfect for a party or wedding group, but it’s a great option for downtown residents just needing a quick refresh.

I love this place! I have been to every blow out bar in STL and Aigner is the absolute best stylist !!! But all the ladies that work here are really fabulous too. You won’t be disappointed.

So I like this place a lot. Everyone was really nice, skilled, and listened well. I had tried Blown Away before and even though my stylist was nice, the receptionists managed to offend me both times I was there, so I felt that I didn’t need to wait for a third time. Here the receptionist was super nice and they really listened to what I wanted and did it. The only, only gripe I have is that it didn’t last. Unlike Blown Away (which frankly I was able to get nearly a week out of both times), my style from this place was gone and frizz had returned before the night had even really started. Maybe it’s a product issue, because my lady really seemed to know what she was doing.

Got my hair and make up done for a wedding and they did a great job with both. Great, reasonable prices too-​I had called all over Stl and was quoted ridiculous prices and they only charged $ 10 for them to put in my clip in extensions I had brought while some places were charging $ 50! Also a HUGE plus: they are open on Sunday’s by appt only and so many places would not even open on a Sunday. Definitely will be coming back in the future

Saw this salon while walking across the street and I needed a haircut so I stopped in. I’m glad I did! Had a great stylist who was nice, friendly, and efficient. She went above and beyond with my simple cut added in texture for movement. I ended up with one of the best haircuts I have had in a long time. She styled my hair great and flat ironed it without me even having to ask, which is rare.

I love the atmosphere & concept. They did a GREAT job and were fairly quick! I will be back.

Wasn’t extremely impressed. Went in for my birthday as a treat to myself (and to use an expired Groupon) before my party and was hoping for gorgeous hair all night long.
My hair lasted all of a few hours. My appointment was at 3 and my hair was flat by 8. The girl asked and I told her that my hair doesn’t hold curls well. She suggested the «beach wave» and it looked real cute when I walked out the door, but again it went limp after a few hours and didn’t last the couple days like she told me it would. And like I expected blowouts to last.
Also the «scalp massage» I got with my deep conditioning treatment (which I feel like was just basic shampoo/​condition because she washed my hair in 3 minutes or less) was poor. It wasn’t the type of head massage that you look forward to getting when you go to the salon.
You can book your appointments online — which is great & super easy. Unless you’re using a Groupon — had problems entering the code and had to call the salon. Ended up leaving a message & played phone tag a bit but was able to get the time I wanted with no problems.
I’ll probably give them another try and pick a different blowout style so I can hopefully enjoy it for more than a few hours!

I was visiting St. Louis from NYC for a wedding down the street at the Renaissance Grand Hotel back on May 9^th. I needed to have my hair blown out. I did a little research before leaving NYC and made and appointment @ Studio 16 Blowout Bar.
The location is very convenient to the hotel. I could have walked but it was raining so opted for a cab.
My appointment was with Mary. She was amazing. I loved the products she used and the waving beachy curls she gave my hair. I received so many compliments that I felt like a million bucks.
I totally recommend the Blowout Bar and Mary… You will not be disappointed. Take it from a picky New Yorker.

Amazing! Didn’t think I would find a great blowout bar in STL this place definitely is worth the visit. Great vibe cool people and amazing blowouts.

Was very satisfied with their service. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Stylist was professional and was very gentle when doing my hair and makeup.

The groupon that was offered is a steal. Blowout bar is a great location for a girls night out, bridal shower, or just to treat yourself.
The location is modern and open. When you arrive you are greeted immediately and offered a drink– coffee, water, beer, wine, champagne.
If you have a groupon, you start with a scalp massage and deep conditioning, The stylist will ask you what you have in mind, and they work with your ideas. My friend and I loved our experience there, and I would return if it were a little more affordable. They have some bulk deals though, if you plan to go regularly.

Love this place and LOVE that it is right down the street from me! I booked an appointment on a Saturday morning (pre-​pre-​Mardi Gras festivities, ya’ll) and was greeted with coffee and lots of smiles. My stylist gave me a wonderful scalp massage before leading me back to wash my hair. She did a kick ass job on my hair (volume with loose curls) and the style held up really well throughout the day despite all the Soulard craziness. As I said, I love this place and will definitely be back!

Visiting St Louis from Texas, I wanted to get my hair blown out with lots of loose curls. I love the look of blown curls versus the curling iron!
While the blow out was good, it was flat and almost completely straight! They were nice and added curls with an iron but it wasn’t what I expected from a $ 35 dollar blowout. Also ended up with a lot of frizz.

Love this place! It’s so nice to not have to worry about doing my hair for a special event or night out with the girls. I always leave here feeling sexy, and the champagne and scalp massage are just the icing on the cake!

My friend and I came here to get our hair and make-​up done before a wedding. Our great experience started when I called to make an appointment. The wedding we were attending started early in the morning so we needed to come in before opening hours. This was no problem for Blowout Bar to accommodate and I was very pleased with the quick turn around in confirming that they could have some girls come in early to take care of us.
When we arrived I didn’t really know exactly what I wanted my hair and make-​up to look like, only that I wanted it to be elegant. April helped me figure out what I wanted with my hair and did it in large, sleek curls. She suggested pinning one side back a bit and the end result looked fantastic and very Old Hollywood Glam. I was very happy with the way my hair turned out.
Next, Mary did my make-​up and was also very helpful in giving me suggestions based on how I told her I usually did my make-​up and what sort of colors I usually use. She also helped me pick colors based on which colors would make my eyes pop. She did my friends make-​up while I was getting my hair done and it looked stunning. I was very pleased with my make-​up after it was done as well.
Since we were visiting St. Louis from out of town for the wedding, we took a taxi there and had planned to take a taxi back afterwards. We finished around 8:30am — with plenty of time to make it back to our hotel (about a mile away) to catch a shuttle at 9:15am to the location of the wedding.
The receptionist, Tina, was very thoughtful in calling us a taxi about 10 minutes or so before our hair and make-​up were finished so that the taxi would be arriving around the time we were ready to go. Unfortunately, the cab was still not there after around 15 minutes so Tina called them back for us and was told the cab was on its way, After waiting for another 15 minutes or so Tina was very concerned for us and called the cab back and even called 3 other cab companies to try to get us a ride. Finally, after exhausting the cab resources, she decided to give us a ride herself! We were so thankful for her going out of her way to do us this favor and really going above and beyond to make our experience great! We got back to the hotel in just enough time to run up to our room, change into our dresses and run down to the shuttle which we made with 1 minute to spare!
I wished we lived in St. Louis so I could come back here again and again. I was truly impressed with both the talent and service that Blowout Bar gave us!
