So Ballpark Village is a mixed bag in terms of places to go out. Even though I see reviews here claiming its for college students, the majority of people here seem to be in their mid to late 20s and thirties. The crowd is very white and straight-a lot of alpha male types here. This is not a problem, however it can be disconcerting to see a 60 year old man downing shots and singing along to Journey songs. Haha. Anyways, I recommend coming here on game nights, because BPV can be a hit or miss in terms of the crowd. I went yesterday, a Friday night, and there weren’t as many people there as I would have liked. If you win a party at crown room, you can get certain drinks for 5 or 6 dollars, but expect to pay 8 or 9 for mixed drinks normally. The food here is grossly overpriced and I would not recommend. But yeah I don’t recommend coming unless it’s a game night. There are multiple bars to check out if you don’t like one, or you can chill on the main floor lobby in front of the giant tv. I would honestly only come back if I win another discounted drinks party or a friend has.

Ball park Village… When you first came into our lives you were oh so shiny and new… Now that shine has just gotten a little dull, making you ready for a new updated review. Not that I don’t enjoy you from time to time, but I just don’t feel the same. SO the good… I love that they have cheap concerts here. I have seen 4 or 5 country concerts here for like 15 bucks! What a deal! And I also got to see Taking Back Sunday, and that was only like 12 dollars. The concerts and events are great. I totally love coming to watch Cardinal and Blues games here when it’s playoff time. YES… it’s crowded… but its MUCH cheaper than going to the actual game, and you still get the good time of it. I enjoy being downtown when our teams are in the playoffs. The building itself is pretty impressive… the concept of BPV is great… But the bad… Well… simply put, it’s crowded, overpriced, and a little crazy. Am I sounding a little old when I say I would rather go to a hole in the wall local bar over drinking and riding the mechanical bull at PBR? Well, it’s true folks. Not that I don’t like to go out and have a little fun, but I just feel like, this is a spot if you’re in the mood to get a little crazy… If not, you might just be a little annoyed because it’s going to be loud music, packed, and everyone is a little rowdy. It totally has had an impact for the small local business owners. They are not getting as much of the before and after games business. Quoting the great Arnold…, I’ll be back. I just don’t think it’s the absolute greatest place in the world anymore. If you haven’t been– you should totally go, experience it, and then judge it for yourself!

Apparently where all the 20-somethings go. We went to the Crown Room for a private party. The main problem: the music. Talked to the DJ who informed me they give him a hard drive full of the music they allow him to play. I made what I thought was a middle of the road request: Drake, and he let me know they don’t play any hip hop or rap, and sure enough the only ‘rap’ I heard all night was Macklemore. Uh, the music was just really bad. They played Back in Black, Hakuna Matata, and Hello by Adele, for instance… on a Saturday night. Hilarously enough, I saw several people high five the DJ and say good job about the music, so apparently it works for their demo. I really wanted to order one of the Goblets, but they were out of that. The drinks were good, nice strong pours. Plenty of security, talked to one of the security guys, and apparently the crowd is infamous for bro-ing out and fights broke out in the past. It was 10:30 when we got there, and already a significant number of DAF kids barely able to stand. So: Pros: great people watching. Also, the GIANTTV in the main open area of BPV was amazing! Cons: Not good music.

It will fill the bill if you’re already there for a baseball game, but I wouldn’t go there otherwise. It’s basically a massive sports bar with no soul and a million flat screens tvs, including one the same size as a movie theatre screen. Over priced food and beer complete the picture. And realize that if you do spend your money there rather than the surrounding, independently owned establishments that didn’t get the same tax break as the ball park village fat cats, you’re driving another nail in the coffin of the small guy.

The space has a lot to offer… Want to dine out? Got restaurants. Want to drink? Got bars. Want to shop? Got gift shop. Want to watch the game? Got BIG screen and lots of little ones. Want history? Got the Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum. Want to people watch? Got all kinds. Want to party like it’s 1999? Got fun spots. Want entertainment? Yep, got that in spades with the piano bar and PBR bull riding and main stage and live emceed events. Want family fun? Check their schedule. They have that too with family movie nights and even outdoor yoga. I love the multipurpose space! It’s great for company events too — the staff are always helpful. It can be noisy. And during a Cardinals home game — WHOOEEE! That’s the next best spot to Busch Stadium, if you don’t mind crowds. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, but what isn’t in downtown STL? I’m not a fan of their parking kiosks — half the time they act up. It’s worth checking out if you haven’t been. Bring your sports fans friends from out of town — they’ll love that BIG screen and BIG sound! With any sporting event it’s almost like being there! And just like a sporting event, prices can be a little high. So prepare yourself and your wallet, because at BPV you’re sure to find something to do, people to see, and food and beverages galore!

Had a great time here on a trip to st louis. Huge screen lots of space and live people surrounding you. I would definitely return to watch a sports game when back in St louis.

Avoid this venue, right from the start, they are rude and do not know what customer service, parking attendants will send you away if they don’t like the size of your vehicle. When traveling across country and need a larger vehicle. they wont allow you to park in there lot. what a shame they lost revenue for all the merchants at this shopping.

This sports bar complex is a great concept, but the execution could use a little bit of work. It’s a great alternative to the stadium if you need a break in between or want to leave before a game is finished. The first time we came here, we went right after a Cards game — boy was everywhere crowded! But, it was definitely worth it to see all the interesting there places. Definitely loved Howl at the Moon — my favorite by far because of the piano/karaōke. A few things I did not like — the parking is atrocious! It’s so hard to find an empty spot and it’s so easy to get into accidents in any second. However, it is located close to the metro station — probably beats the hassle of trying to get into town and leave in time. The other thing — drinks and food are a bit pricey for what you’re getting. Other than that, decent spot. I feel like I would definitely come here after a ball game.

What a great place to watch a game(be it baseball, football, etc) especially when the Cardinals are playing out of town. I have only walked through here when there was a game in town(packed) and last night was my first time coming to watch a game. The service was great, the food was good(nachos) and the atmosphere was outstanding. When it got a little stuffy in there, the roof was opened. It doesn’t matter where you look, there is a television. Even though the Cards lost, I would definitely come back. I can’t wait to try some of the restaurants connected with it.

I’ve never really had a bad time at Ballpark Village but that doesn’t mean it’s a great place to go. That just means my friends and I have been really drunk every time we’ve gone. Everything is overpriced. I had to take up a second job stripping on the East side to help pay for a bucket of beers. I cooked meth with some guy named Walt in order to afford a round of shots. I sold one of my kidneys for a whiskey and coke. I’m not entirely sure what the allure of Ballpark Village is. Why do we go here? Is it all the flashy ribbon boards that have almost certainly caused a few seizures? Is it the gigantic TV screen that enhances every blemish on John Lackey’s face?(Sorry John but God blessed you with 6’5″ height and a 93MPH fastball… you can’t have it all). Is it the restaurants that offer Applebee’s style cuisine at an improper fraction of the price? This is really a 2 star establishment but it’s a 5 on appearances. BPV is beautifully built and quite attractive from any viewpoint, especially inside Busch Stadium. It’s a good addition to downtown. Of course I might be comparing it to previous tenants of the space on which BPV sits: 1: Lake DeWitt(a huge hole filled with rainwater) 2: A parking lot 3: A softball field. By the way, why build a softball field downtown if it’s going to look worse than what I played tee ball on at an elementary school back when I was 5? I mean the fences were made of chicken wire and I think there was half of an old bath tub in center field. I would have recommended a tetanus shot to go along with your postgame juice box if you played on that field. The best part of BPV is that it caters to people of all ages. It really caters more to people who have held a steady job for awhile and can afford $ 6 – 8 drinks but as long as you’ve got enough in the bank account, you could be 21 or 51 and have a good time. It’s really just a mall of bars and there’s at least one bar for everyone. FYI: There’s a dry erase board by the stage in Howl at the Moon. You can pay money to write whatever you want on it. If you write«Go Cubs Go» on it, my friends and I will erase it. We don’t care if it gets us kicked out again. This is St. Louis, America!

I thought this place was great. I was in St. Louis on work and wanted to see a Cardinals game, and this was the next best thing. Giant screens to watch the away game(it was raining outside, so even better). The food was great. The atmosphere was awesome. Several restaurants to choose from. A bit over priced, but it’s near the stadium, so what do you expect. I would visit this place a lot if I was a local. Very fun watching the die hard fans watch a big screen. Not so much for the lonely Cubs fan.

There are a lot of fun places here and it’s the second best place to watch a Cardinals game in St. Louis. Definitely check out the bull riding at PBR and go to the outdoor patio to catch a site of the ballpark.

Ballpark Village has to be on the game day agenda of any Cardinals fan. The atmosphere cannot be beat as anticipation for the game builds. The drinks are flowing, the music is blaring, baseball is on the TVS… my kind of place. It is loud, hectic and overwhelming, and an overall great place. They can jack up the prices just because of the convenience and they do — but depending on what you’re drinking and where, it doesn’t have to be a terribly expensive affair. Didn’t eat any food here — it looked good but I can’t imagine trying to get served on game days. Probably a separate trip during an away game would be best for that adventure. Great place to grab pregame drinks or come to dance after a Cardinals win. The people watching is great and the camaraderie amongst Cards fans is the best in all of baseball.

Stumbled upon here with my bf on a STL vist after the Cardinals home opener. We wanted to check out the downtown area and the village had a great ambiance to it. Plus, we found $ 20 on the ground and obviously needed to celebrate– thanks intoxicated Cards fans ;) !!! We don’t have this in NY so was very fun to check out. Such a great idea– an indoor arena of bars with a MASSIVE screen, live band playing great hits, fun crowd. and my own personal good company ;). Didn’t grab any food– the drinks were around $ 5 – 6 which were pretty decently priced for us. We didn’t venture upstairs, found some seats in the downstairs area and took advantage of it while we enjoyed our free beers, but it would be fun to come back and check the entire place out.

Not a horrible place, but don’t be fooled by the bright shiny lights and massive tv. This pace is very expensive when you consider all of the amazing Mom and Pop places all around the area. I give them kudos for always promoting big sporting events(world cup, all star game, or CFB). But still… so pricey and the food is just AVERAGE. Great for any cards fan on a non-game day!

I have very little good to say. Actually, no good to say. It was loud, the staff was unfriendly at the door, lots of pushing and shoving to get somewhere and it felt like I was cattle trying to get somewhere inside. This is NOT my thing and I don’t recommend it. I will not be wasting any more time on this review.

We come here before and after Cards games regularly. It is new as of 2014, but it is really fun. They have a lot of different bars/restaurants and a HUGE big screen TV in the middle to watch the game, and even a TV outside in a small baseball field where you can have a picnic and watch the game. They are always having events and concerts, and although it can get very crowded on gameday, it is still worth checking out. We have eaten at a few places, but I think the sleeper pick here is Tengo Hambre, a little burrito place by Cardinal Nation inside. It is moderately priced, and very good. You dont even really need a ticket to the game, you could really just come here and watch and still feel like you are there, and the stadium constantly cuts to shots of the crowd inside BPV. We are looking forward to more games here in 2015. Go Cards!

Ballpark village was built right and a great idea! Overall it’s a great addition to the stadium. It’s basically a really nice area of bars. And that’s it. The whole space has a pretty corporate/food-courty vibe but it is nice. There is soooooo much floor space and plenty of table area. If it’s super crouded it is probably hard to find a spot. I mainly went to see the space. If you wanted to watch the game this would be a great place to go. I didn’t stay for long but I saw they even had beer pong upstairs(yeah, brah!) They are even doing movie nights here? Whaaa? Cray. They have a hugeeeee screen in the middle of the auditorium area. I do have to say the crowd tends to be a little older. A lot of afflicted t-shirts, too. It would be fun to come back and check out all the bars! It was worth the trip.
