Amy’s Nails

I come here because it’s close to my house and a few of the ladies that work here are great at what they do. The problem comes when I bring in any design that they’ve never seen. They immediately say they don’t know how to do it. it’s frustrating because you would think they would be more creative than just painting nails. I love the convenience and the professionalism but I would love to be able to get everything done in one place. Now I have to find a separate place just for a design. At least they are honest and don’t try something they don’t know how to do.

Pardon my French but these are the rudest fucking people I have ever met and they suck (hard) at their jobs! Never. Again.

So, after visiting again for a full set, pedicure, and an eye brow wax, I don’t think I’ll be back. It disappoints me to say this, because I’ve gone here for years, but I’m not sure this place is owned by the same people or even ran in the same way.
My best friend and I headed to this shop to prepare for a weekend trip. When we arrived, we were not greeted. Then, two women told us to sit down for pedicures and put our feet into cold water. After asking them to warm the water, the two women started speaking in their native tongues, which doesn’t bother me. However, when my friend stood up to use the restroom, I was on my phone, and saw the two women pointing to my friend and mocking her out of the corner of my eye. They began laughing, and when I looked at them, they immediately stopped.
Then, we went to get full sets. My nail tech buffed my real nails so much, that they began to hurt. She also clipped my real nail so low that it started to bleed. Then, once she applied the acrylic, she didn’t bother buffing them down, so my fingers felt heavy.
To top it all off, she used an old, thick, clear coat, that caused my nails to «leather up.» She then started talking to the other woman again and very distinctly said, «mess up and no say sorry,» then looked at me and rolled her eyes.
WTF? I’m not going back…

Not bad, not bad… They do use hot wax on your pedicures. I was behind on my pedicure and was so pleased I even got the nails done… I do recommend this place very friendly staff. clean and quick… if ever back in st louis would definitely return.
