No prices posted on «new smoothie menu». When asked the clerk why are no prices posted she asked me if i wanted to complete the transaction, as if i couldnt afford the smoothie vs answering my question. Then i paid $ 7 for a smoothie that i paid $ 5 last month.

Nice Little café on the corner of Chestnut and 8th. Ample seating. Very friendly staff and management. Good breakfast sandwiches and coffee with local donuts available.

I’ve been a supporter of 6 North Café since they were located on Sarah and Laclede. Customer service is pleasant and prompt. They offer a decent variety of snacks and quick«grab & go» food items. Nothing spectacular but a nice breakfast/coffee spot if you’re in the downtown area.

This spot is a bit hidden. For those who work in the building or next door it’s probably a convenient and ok spot to grab some grub and coffee. However, I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit. It’s halfway underground, so there’s not much of a view. Also perhaps because of that lower location, the ventilation isn’t great. I thought the air smelled a bit from their grill. The seating area was a bit small. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Which is why I bumped it up to 3 stars. They talked me through finding their underground location when I called — twice.(By the way, don’t trust Siri to direct you here. She’s a malicious witch who enjoys sending you on a wild goose chase when navigating this spot. The Unilocal address says 701 Market, but the entrance is on 7th and Chestnut — closer to 8th Street end of the block.) They also hand delivered my hot(very hot) tea as I sat waiting for my order, which wasn’t long. If you find yourself outside their door, grab a coffee or hot tea(or perhaps food) for convenience. Otherwise, there are probably better options you’ll enjoy more.

This place is pretty good. The service has always been friendly and the food is good. It is a bit on the expensive side for a sandwich place, but not crazy. Wraps are usually good, and the reuben is decent. Not the best in the city, but definitely not the worst.

With the amount of foot traffic in the area(not to mention patrons in its lunch line), I’m a little surprised that there aren’t a lot more reviews on this little sunken corner café. A place doesn’t need to completely overwhelm with good(or bad) service to get a quick write-up, right? As a lunch option, 6 North is serviceable. I agree with the handful of other reviewers in that the prices are«just» high enough to make you think twice about having lunch there regularly… but it’s on par with other establishments in the area and Bread Co in particular. The specials, while not necessarily priced specially, are a good mix on both the drink and food menu, something I’d assume regulars from the Peabody Plaza(formerly Gateway One) and other nearby office buildings appreciate. Salads, sandwiches, soups and wraps dominate with coffee and smoothie offerings rounding out the regular menu. I personally enjoy the acai, pomegranate and blueberry concoction called the APB, a mostly smooth, dark mix, heavy on the berries and with a gently acidic tang of a finish. There’s limited table seating available along with a few two-person booths on the south side of the café. Big groups who need to sit together might look elsewhere, but the tables here are easy enough to push together to accommodate 6 people if need be. Carryout to City Garden across the street or back to the office is also an option. Note: The hours are only Monday through Friday at this location.

A bit on the expensive side but their lunch salads are pretty good. If your looking to get out of the office for a bit and don’t mind paying more for a meal then you’ll like it here. Their coffees and specialty drinks are pretty amazing as well, they always introduce something new for the season.

I want to rank Six North higher than a three, but they’re not quite there yet. The good news: Friendly staff, good service and fresh Kaldi’s Coffee. The bad news: 1) A bit overpriced for the category. 2) Service is thorough but slower than I prefer — chat if no one’s in line. If you’ve got a line of people waiting to order, smile, be nice and pick up the pace; drop the conversations. 3) Surroundings could be cozier considering the attitude Six North wants to portray. My highest praise comes for what I call Coffee 911. We often run out of coffee in our office and we’re all coffee snobs! With one call to Six North, they’ll have our favorite beans bagged, ready and waiting for us at the register in a flash. Bottom line: Six North is better than most franchise operations, better than most other locally owned shops downtown, who often define coffee as charcoal boiled in water, and a great place to buy Kaldi’s whole bean coffee. Let’s encourage these folks to raise the bar. They’re a welcome addition to downtown.

Friendly staff. Average food. Overpriced. And NO bathroom! Have to go to lobby of building & ask for key. I was looking for a place to grab a lunch & do some emails. Paid $ 9 for wrap & drink. I think they could include an apple or chips for that price especially since the wrap was just average. Biggest problem — no bathroom. :-(

I came here for lunch and it was quite busy. I noticed about 10 people in line and it moves a touch slower than Bread Co’s line. I tried the Roast Beef on Ciabatta and while I disagree that it was on ciabatta, the bread did work with the sandwich. What didn’t work were the roasted peppers. They were clearly from a jar of some kind and in the four blocks it took me to walk back to work, my sandwich had leaked pepper juice everywhere. It had soaked the entire sandwich despite the thin layer of plastic wrap. The flavor of the peppers didn’t really add anything to the sandwich either. The cookie I had was good though so I’ll probably head back another time for maybe a tea and a sweet, but not that sandwich.
