B&J Trees – St Louis Park

Delightful !!! that’s why we go back year after year after year X 19 !
Even with frozen fingers and toes these are the NICEST, most patient and helpful elves you will find. Lovely trees at reasonable prices too.

Kind of an odd thing to review, but I’ve been here two years in a row now. I don’t really know how they compare price wise to other lots, but what I do know is that they do have some really nice trees… and AWESOME customer service.
…and they are patient… and helpful…
So, get this. This was a hard year for us on so many levels and we were all really kind of dreading getting a tree, yet it would practically be a crime not to, right? So, we go to the lot and start wandering, and somewhere between laughing and crying we manage to bypass every perfectly good tree in sight. One of the guys asks if we need help, and I reply, «Boy do we, but not any kind of help you can give!». As we keep meandering, we decide we ‘must’ need the Charlie Brown tree… only there isn’t a pathetic tree to be found. Again, we are asked if we need help, or if we had any questions. Then, after about 15 minutes of disagreeing on which tree to get, we go back to one we had seen earlier only to realize it is like 12 feet tall! So, like magic one of the guys appears (I swear they must hide in the trees and appear at any point you look confused or interested) and asks if we want the tree we are looking at. Before I barely had a ‘yes’ out of my mouth he whisked the tree away to the trimming and wrapping table. And get this, when I told him our ceilings were only 8.5′ tall, he looks at the tree, starts his saw, and starts cutting! He not only cut the tree to an approximate height, but then trimmed the lower branches as well. I went and paid and he carried the tree to the car and stuck it in my trunk, and away we went.
I know it doesn’t sound like much, but both times we have been here we have been greeted with genuine kindness, by staff who have to be freezing their butts off, yet still manage to have a smile on their faces, and are willing to help at a moments notice. They also go above and beyond in prepping the tree so you have as little to do as possible when you arrive home.
