Our waitress was so sweet. Great comfortable patio. A few good beers on tap. We shared the firework shrimp and they were the best I’ve ever had!!! Large portion for 10 $…we were very impressed! Would come back for them in a heartbeat!

Great view. Food and music. Downloading there app was nice as we didn’t have to wait in line and got a text when your table was ready! Cool feature. My husband had the scallops perfectly cooked and seared crisp on either side. I had the Perch fish– first time for me and it was great. we had wine and MI beer. Eating and drinking local is what we like to do and this place didn’t disappoint. There was a nice blue grass band playing and the rooftop view was the cherry on top to the night.

UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE! Friday night my party of three arrived around 6:15. We were told by the hostess that it would be a 45 – 60 minute wait. And we were fine with that and understood as it was a Friday night. As we approached the one hour mark, a member of our party went up to see the hostess an inquire as to how much longer. The hostess would not even acknowledge his presence. However, she was seating everyone that just so happened to be at the bar. And she was advising everyone coming in to go to Silver Beach Pizza, The Buck, and 221 Main. So that’s just what we did, we took our business to 221 Main. After an hour and forty minutes, we received a call asking if we were still interested in our table. When we politely responded no, we were hung up on. Click, nothing but silence, crickets on the other end of the line. What I find odd, is that when we checked in they said they would call or text when our table was ready. Yet when they called, they asked if we were still INTERESTED in our table. Is that because you originally told us it would only be a 45 – 60 minute wait, when in reality it was two hours? After we politely stated that we were no longer interested in our table and were rudely hung up on, this restaurant proceeded to send a text — asking us if we were still interested in our table. Bottom line– do as they say– take your money to Silver Beach Pizza, The Buck, or 221 Main.

And my first star goes to … *drum roll* Views, views, views! Who doesn’t love to sit on a rooftop by the beach?! especially after we survived THAT Midwestern winter! And now for the rest: The ambiance: Fairly casual. I came in work clothes and felt fine, but the majority were in casual attire. Great music selection at an appropriate level(Fleetwood Mac, Foreigner. And the likes!) Wait time: Mid-week seating available inside and on the patio. No problems there Wine/beer list: Pretty Limited. See attached pic for full list. I had a cocktail(wine and beer served in glass but cocktails in a plastic cup? Huh? …Sigh) *i know, I know — slurp on, cocktail snob* Food: Limited menu. I had the margarita pizza –The crust was good(nice and doughy) maybe made in a wood pizza oven? Needed a bit more basil and mozzarella. If I’m going to be a «fake vegetarian» for one meal, I at least need my cheese fix! Overall pretty good. Give it a try!

Haven’t been here for awhile so went with a group of friends. Friday was a busy night which was good. For the appetizer we decided to get the Bruschetta, two orders for the group. Very disappointed as it looked like Bruschetta Blob. A whole lot of diced tomatoes on top of garlic flavored thin crisps… that’s it really?! Then we ordered the Caprese Salad. Never had DRY Mozerella before… yuk! Couldn’t eat it. Grouper, blackened was OK but nothing to rave about. Overall dining experience was poor.

We were in St Joseph for a wedding and passed Rye Belles early in the day shopping & scoping out places to eat. Rye Belles menu looked interesting and was recommended by locals. We were a party of 6 and were greeted by friendly hostesses. We sat at the bar for a short wait for our table. The bartender was hustling with a big crowd around the bar and the cocktails were very good. We were let upstairs to the patio to an excellent table to watch the sunset and greeted by our waitress… I think it was Jen! High marks for attentive and friendly. There are my three stars… ambiance, staff and drinks. Three in our party had the lake perch which was good. Others had wild salmon(over cooked which is a shame for such an amazing product) one had a burger(over done) with cold fries and another chose chicken breast(over cooked and tough). Vegetable of the day was asparagus which was very thick and woody and should have been excellent as it is in season. Overall the food over done and cold. We likely would try another place to eat in St Joseph but would return for cocktails.

Pretty good! This is a fine dining establishment with a great bar! I enjoy their food and drink specials(during the slow season only) and they have a pretty decent wine list! Service has always been pretty good, and their new bathrooms look great. This place is really fun in the summer when they have outdoor seating on their rooftop bar!

Well not sure how to start but we never made it into the restaurant! Made a reservation for 9 at 6:30 for my moms 70th birthday and the restaurant asked if we could do 7:30 instead! We said no problem and got to the restaurant at 7:15 to let them know we were there! They told us our tables had cashed out and we’re just waiting to leave! We continued to wait another 45 mins and heard the waitress come up to the counter and say they aren’t gonna leave! After hearing that we went up to the reception desk and told them we were leaving! All they said was sorry, nothing else! I understand both sides of this but maybe have the manager come over to us and say anything or offer us some bread, drinks, or anything! We left and had a great dinner at the food district! Just need to train your employees how to handle situations better and maybe have a manager in the loop alittle! My sister lives here in st. Joseph Michigan and said she will never go there and never recommend it again!!! I work in customer service in Los Angeles and if this happened at our job people would be written up! I blame management but just needed to get this off my chest

This is a great place to go on a date, or to meet up with friends. I have had great experiences every time I’ve gone. There is usually a wait, but nothing ever too long. Their pizza is awesome, as is their humus. Also, the blueberry drop martini(at least I think that’s what it’s called…) is delicious. If you’re in St Joe and are looking for a good place to eat, I highly recommend trying this place.

AJ and I had an elegant meal here last night. We had Tuna and Mahi and Perch… truly good food and atmosphere. The restaurant was busy but they were able to accommodate 2 no problem. Everything was very well prepared. We are looking forward to a return visit very soon. I am surprised at seeing any negative review.

This place was a real gem. Had scallops which were excellent and a Manhattan to drink. Both were delicious and the service was prompt and attentive. Loved the views as we dined outside… in November. Maybe some piped in music would have been a nice touch. Would definitely return.

Located in the hopping part of St. Joseph with a great lake view. I had the lake perch with rice pilaf. Overall the fish was a different taste han most white fish. The fish was cooked with an interesting curl and light fry. The tartar sauce really worked well with the perch and the veggies. The prices were around $ 20 dollars for fish so come prepared with cash. The atmosphere is great and the service was pleasant. They have a full bar with multiple floors for seating and should be good for large groups. If the prices were a bit lower, I would give them a 5 star.

No thanks. We tried to get in on a Thursday evening. The bitchy hostess told us to go upstairs for patio seating. The upstairs hostess told us it would be at least forty minutes. As we walked away we noticed multiple open tables on the patio. Never going back.

So Ryebelles… you have my attention for being a good restaurant in an awesome beach town… The good: The roof top views at sunset are probably one of the best sights in the area! The ambiance is nice and relaxing but could use a lil more ummmppphhhh The food was actually pretty decent. I had the Chilled Shrimp which was ok … but could use a lil bit more spice to it… the cocktail sauce was awesome! had that Kick that cocktail sauce should have. The pizza was delicious … only gripe I had was it wasnt crispy enough but overall a awesome pizza. The live entertainment was pretty good, not sure what her name was but she was a 19 year old soloist with a red guitar with awesome vocals. Servers were awesome and friendly and very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The Bad:(please dont be mad at me … I will come back when Im in town again) The waiting for the table part… turning around tables at this place was awful… there were several tables that were waiting to have someone sit in it but for some reason nobody was… people were waiting an hour or more just for a table and yet there sat… 2 – 3 tables empty at a time… It seems like there was a disconnect between the Hostesses and the available tables…

Went to Ryebelles for dinner last night. Our server was excellent and she made sure our drinks were always filled. We had a killer view. For appetizers we had Bruschetta and Goat Cheese Fondue — both were tasty and great for sharing. For dinner I got to try their pizza for the first time. Great hand-tossed pizza. We had their Margherita and the Garlic Mushroom. Really good and great brick oven flavor. The other couple we were with had the Ryebelles Burger(he loved it and their fries) and she had the beet salad which she loved as well. On our way out, we saw the manager in the kitchen helping make the pizzas. Excellent dedication! Can’t wait to go back!

I visited this location with my mother. We sat at the bar and the service was good. Great beer selection. Mother had balsamic chicken and it was fantastic. My black bean burger was ok, only because the salsa on top was overly spicy. Would visit again and order something else off the menu.

Came around 5:30pm with my wife on a warm & sunny Thursday evening in late May. Were seated on rooftop with no waiting. Took a while to order since they were out of first choice(walleye). Food arrived(lake perch for her, pizza for me) by 6:30pm, just as live music began(girl playing classic & alt rock covers on guiter and singing). Food was good, if a bit overpriced. View of lake is nice, but sun protection is modest at best — bring sunglasses and maybe sunscreen and a hat. Stayed longer than a normal dinner to enjoy ambiance without rush from staff. Would probably come again.

I feel bad giving it on 3 stars as the bar is very nice, the atmosphere is great, and watching the sunset here is wonderful. However… the key items food and drink were the weak parts… food sounds great, but disappoints from a flavor perspective. Drink, well it’s hard to screw up a cocktail but a bad 7&7 is not a good start to the night…
