Candlewood Suites St. Joseph

My room was very adequate for me needs (my dog) The corporate decision not to have a breakfast bar is very disappointing, as well as they will not clean your room unless you stay a week or more.
One of the managers Evan Miller was a joy to deal with, he will work with you, the other managers must be new to the business as the only words they have is NO.
Make sure you only deal with Evan.

My stop by the Candlewood Suites was very interesting. First off, when I walked into the room, you could smell something had burned in the room, but there was an air scent product in the room, which made for a stinky burnt smell.
Then on the tables were papers from the hotel’s GM asking that you give the hotel 10’s on sites such as TripAdvisor, etc and if you did so, they would give you extra reward points. This seemed a bit shady/​gaming of the system.
The room itself? It was ok. There was a queen sized bed, a full sized fridge and area for a desk. Not the best, but an ok Hotel, given that it’s almost brand spanking new.

Crazy nice room! Great queen bed along with superior bedding. Perfect little kitchenette for extended stays and an almost separate feeling to the bathroom, which is special.
I could easily see staying here for more than a few nights.
I stopped in St Joseph with my wife and dogs and we all four lived it.
Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
Only upgrade I would recommend, different soap/​shampoo. The ones in the bathroom on April 18, 2015 are the kind that make you slippery (not always bad).

AWESOME! Beautiful room and has everything you need. Clearly it’s either brand-​new or has been recently refurbished everything looks great. Would highly recommend. Clean, clean, clean and the staff is very nice & helpful.

Traveling with my boyfriend for his job over the last two years I can say we are hotel experts. This newly opened Candlewood Suites location is by far one of the best we have stayed in. The management and staff go above and beyond assisting any need you could have. They have an on site gym and laundry room at no extra cost. Instead of several vending machines they have a small pantry type room filled with many drinks, frozen and fresh foods, chips and other snacks. You can either fill out a slip of what you «purchased» and it will be charged to your room, or slip the amount in cash into a drop box. They offer free coffee as well. The rooms are exquisite and stocked with kitchen necessities. This hotel is located close to several businesses, stores, restaurants, and a movie theater, but still has a beautiful view of the land surrounding it.
If you need a place overnight, or maybe for a week, even several months, this is the place you need to check out. We will no doubt search for another Candlewood Suites wherever we travel in the future.
