I guess you have to give one star on this website so that is why I was so generous. I would not recommend working with real property management. We are in the process of relocating to St. George from Salt Lake with my fiancé’s company. We spent a week in st. George a month and a half prior to our move to find a place to live. We found a wonderful townhome for rent through rpm. We filled out an application, which took a couple of days for them to approve. Once hey approved it we were back home in Salt Lake City. They told us we were approved and we informed them that we wanted to rent the townhome. They told us that when we moved down on May 5th they would walk is through the apartment and we could sign the lease, pay our deposit, and move in. Two weeks before our move in date we received a phone call from rpm asking if we were still looking for a place to rent. I was shocked and said well, no because we are supposed to be moving in to a rental with you guys in the fifth. They then became very flustered and stuttered there way through an explanation of how the townhome has been rented to someone else. We are now two weeks away from the day we have to be out of our home in Salt Lake and have no where to move to. After speaking with my fiancé’s coworkers they have expressed that hey wish we would have discussed this with them because they could have told us not to use rpm. That is our experience, good luck!

*Warning* Long read. Everything in this review is my opinion and interactions If you only deal with the front office it can be a great experience. They are understandable and polite, which is nice. Sometimes there doesn’t seem to be proper communication between the office personnel. I agree if it’s not an emergency it won’t be fixed. Most things weren’t fixed until the homeowner of the rental decided to put the rental up for sale. If your rental goes up for sale you will not have a pleasant experience. The owner of the management company came, unannounced, to the rental. I’m assuming there was no communication(which is probably normal, staff should be trusted by the owner of the management company) because the management company owner asked if my dog was on the pet addendum(yes, adoption papers were also given to their office staff). This is when everything turned sour, he commented on how big the dog was(German Shepherd). There was very little professionalism after this. Within the next three weeks, I was given 4 different responses about staying in the rental. The management company had switched online payment portals and I understand there is a transition, but research should be done. I paid my rent, on-time/in full. Then 5 days later I have a notice of pay/quit. It was resolved when I called in, but the level of incompetence was stacking up and frustrating. If your rental is in an HOA community be very very careful… this management company will not go up to bat for you if the HOA requests are not reasonable(legally it was not up to par for HOA to request it because there wasn’t any proof, the HOA seemingly playing the blame game). I told HOA what was going on with a harassing homeowner(that a police report was filed against) then HOA still hounds the management company who then in turn contacts me of damage to a shared yard that is publicly used(our rental on the end that has a public gate). I, in turn, had to get a lawyer involved because there was no logic or reason to these accusations except that I feel the owner wanted me out because they were selling the house and he had made it known(through e-mails I have and phone conversations) he was uncomfortable with my dog. The management owner had even spoken to me on the phone before and said if he had known about the dog himself he would never have rented to me(this is my opinion but that sounds like discrimination). I understand pets are a gamble, but my dog was adopted at 2 months old, was in professional training, and my dog continues to be in training/volunteer programs. Any damage done when he was a puppy(he bent blinds) we replaced. We weren’t irresponsible and tried our best. The lawyer also was involved because of trying to evict without grounds of eviction and not giving proper notice of people coming over. Home inspector was waiting for 20 minutes and he said the owner of the management company told him I was notified(I wasn’t). had a prospective buyer who wanted to do a showing, I was given a 3 – 4 hour notice. I understand the situation was probably stressful, but it is also stressful for the renter. Most places will be reasonable and bring both parties together professionally. My lease was lost(at least that’s what I was told) and my security deposit was vastly missing money. I emailed the owner of the management company about the deposit and he told me «I would be happy to cooperate but I understand you are „bad mouthing“ our company on facebook»(which yes I wrote my opinionated status on Facebook and found I’m not the first one treated this way). I’m not sure how others take this, but to me it implied that he was threatening. I took the status down regardless and my deposit was fixed. Then the reimbursed portion was made out in a way that the bank wouldn’t negotiate the check. It just never ended. The check was re-issued and it’s finally over. I think if the owner of the management company was more professional and understanding(not taking his frustration out on tenants) rental sales and rental situations in general would run much smoother. My opinion is his wife should deal with the tenants. His wife has a very nice personality towards the tenants. Not sure I would recommend them solely because of the owner of the management company’s unprofessionalism. My lawyer and I felt like I was being targeted. These are my opinions.
