This is a good alternative to Café Rio, and is just as tasty. I stopped in expecting to move quickly but they seemed to move a bit slow through the line. The staff didn’t seem to be very organized, but ultimately the food was good. I ordered the sweet pork salad with the creamy ranch dressing as a take out.

Awesome food made right in front of you. My wife has celiac, and we heard this place is awesome with both gluten free options as well as avoiding cross-contamination. Sure enough, my wife got a great meal and the server changed her gloves when she started my wife’s food, was very cautious during prep. The service was awesome(in contrast to Durangos in Hurricane) and the food was excellent.

Can’t say enough great things about the staff’s attentiveness to our order. My daughter and I have to maintain a strict gluten free diet. This was the first time at any restaurant where I felt confident that the staff knew what they were doing. Fast service, great customer service!

Costa Vida is like a crappier version of Café Rio. If you want this style of Mexican cuisine then just go there. I thought CV would be significantly cheaper, but the price difference between a CV burrito and a CR burrito is just 40 cents. 40 cents and you can get a much better meal. Costa Vida’s sweet pork burrito was mushy, and their grilled chicken burrito was dry. Their service wasn’t much better. When I asked for a to-go lid she acted like I should have just grabbed one for myself. Here’s a hint… if you want me to grab one don’t put them behind the glass! All in all there is no reason to visit Costa Vida while Café Rio exists. None at all.

Horrible service. Nobody wanted to take my order. They made me feel like I was an inconvenience. And to top it off while paying for my food, they have the nerve to ask for a TIP!!! On my credit card receipt. Why does everyone think they deserve a tip. If your waiting on me and playing the part of a server then that would make sense. Delivering pizza or something above expectation. Not throwing salad and a couple toppings in a bowl.

This place makes a great salad and has great dressings & salsa! I loved it. My bf got the shredded steak burrito. He thought it was okay but only ate a fee bites. However I took a bite and I thought it different. The red sauce they put on top was sugary like had to much brown sugar in it. I wasn’t impressed and actually ended up spitting it out. However he said the stuff on the inside was good! Well be back for the salads and salsa!

Mexican food is a competitive sector in Southern Utah. The area offers some awesome options on this front. Costa Vida falls way short. Skip the loud crowded dining area and go up the road to the Coyote Charro or Jalapeños. If you just eat here, get the taco salad.

Almost same food as Café Rio, but a VERY much nicer experience. They actually smile at you and care what you have to say, unlike the Rio production line. Customer service is a 5 Star. I can’t give them 5 star for the meat because it is just barely enough quantity wise. Food is tasty and fresh. Do the survey and get free desert on your next visit, Big enough to share. They are very rich and worth your time

It seems like every time I go to C.V. they have no steak or no lettuce for the salads. We always wait patiently while they get their stuff together. I seem to only write positive reviews on Unilocal so it pains me to say Costa Vida got worse last visit. My last visit, it took 25 minutes to get one pork salad for my wife. It took so long with my year and a half old baby that she left and went home. I waited for her salad, everyone around us was upset. While in line the little girl behind the counter asked us if this was your burrito; the manager, Christina I think was her name(a blonde younger lady), started ripping into her employee! If you’ve already helped these people, it must be someone behind them she said and gave her a thumbs up right into her face. It was extremely awkward for everyone in line. When I attempted to pay, I gave the girl my gift card and a debit card for the difference. She put it all on my debit card and said thank you. It wasn’t until I got home that I noticed she didn’t even run the gift card. I called and spoke with Christina who gave me a what do you want me to do about it attitude. She blamed me saying the gift cards and frequent eater cards are the same and its our job to notify the cashier. She said«so do you want a free meal or what». I must say, the conversation was heated, I replied with«train your employees to ask people points card or gift card?» She then hung up on me. I will not be back to C.V. There are too many other good Mexican restaurants in St George.

Its tasty, the daily special is a good value. Food quality is excellent, they press and cook the tortillas as you order. Fresh!

Another great visit to Costa Vida! They are so much more kid friendly than Café Rio with rice and beans in the kids meal and cinnamon tortillas, not to mention small salads instead of the large for the ladies. They are by far the better option over Café Rio.

Yes, it is Gringo-Mexican, but very good Gringo-Mexican. The fish taco was good. Not the best i’ve ever had, but not far from it. The beef burrito special was flavorful. We both liked that we could order just the accompaniments we wanted. We’ll definitely will return whenever in St. George again.

Both the sign on the door and the website say that the store opens at 11:30am on Sundays but the door was locked. We and another couple(whom we did not know), waited around outside the business until 11:45. The other couple left annoyed. We looked up the phone number and called inside. The teenager that answered said they forgot to open up. Food was not ready for the day and tasted reheated. Not at all impressed.

Decent food; however it’s just another knock off of Café Rio’! To me the best fast food Mexican restaurant around in any part of Utah is Café Rio’. I get what other companies like Costa Vida is trying to do but this nor Durangos can even come to get close in comparison. Hands down Café Rio’ is the best!

The Sweet Pork taco was tasty! The steak wasn’t bad either but the pork left a nice afterglow.
