A gem sitting on the St. Clair River off north river road. Great food, and a good value. the best craft beers in the area at $ 2.50 a pint; specials on Thursdays. If you like cigars, they have the largest selection in the area with a special room to enjoy them and single malt or port.

I love sues! Their smoothies are the best! I work in the same plaza(which makes for a super easy stop in case you’re craving a smoothie or tea!) I’m usually greeted with nice ladies who are super fast when I tell them I’m at work and really need to get back. Except for this one time this young blonde girl who took her time walking back to kitchen Then came back to talk to her boyfriend it took at least 10 mins. She finally started to make my smoothies. I was so irked! That was the last time I went. I can instead being extremely busy or being understaffed but this was not the case. Please stop talking to your boyfriend PLEASE and make my smoothies! Otherwise it’s a great place with other lovely workers.

I love it that they play Tracy Chapman a lot! The music is noticeable but quiet enough to have a conversation. The Hill sandwich is delicious. They really care about serving fresh, high quality food and beverage at fair prices and take the time to create a homey, comfortable setting. This place has soul & atmosphere.

Unique shop with unique purveyors. Delicious sandwiches made fresh and tasty! Also, they now brew their own beers & stouts, make their own wines and a cigar room too! Truly a place to visit.

This is a hidden gem! The vibe in here is quite pleasant and comfortable. I had a coffee and a doughnut. The prices were on point. Our server was out-of this world sweet and very helpful. I would like to try something more substantial next time, like a sandwich.

Good soup, nice selection of sandwiches, and very friendly staff. Laid back atmosphere so food does not come fast. Staff is very friendly. Will definitely come back for coffee and reading. My fiancé was a little upset when he got the Italian sandwich and it had pepperoncini on it and he doesn’t like spicy things. However he loved the Mac and cheese soup.

I didn’t actually eat at Sue’s, rather I was at a fundraiser wine tasting out back. Sue’s menu offered some unique sandwhiches. In a town(St. Clair) stuck in a time warp, Sue’s was rather a unique find with it’s menu, and the fact that as you headed out to the back just to your left was a humidor stocked with lovely cigar selections, and a couple of couches and loungers with a nice television. Keep on down the hall and you come to their wine bar. All are connected in one location. The next time I find myself in the north east again, I’m going to check out what Sue’s got!

Cute and cozy! Love this place! The people there are very nice and it’s great to sit and relax with a cup of coffee while looking over to Canada. I love the chairs next to the big window!

Friendly service, cool vibe, great music in a great location. Gotta love the Euro recliners in front of the big window with an awesome view of the St. Clair River. Also have a nice little patio out front. Ordered a power smoothie, they gave me like 24oz. super filling and tasty.

I usually visit my hometown about twice a year and I always, ALWAYS stop by Sue’s for a coffee or some food, or if I’m really feeling adventurous, coffee AND food. This place is exactly what St. Clair needed(No, I do not want to drive to The Raven for a coffee.) and Sue does a great job of continuing to make it special. The baked goods are out of this world — today I went by and there was a pretty pink cake sitting in the display case. I asked the girl at the counter what it was and she replied, «champagne cake.» CHAMPAGNECAKE. I’m sorry, but I’m going to need a piece of that. Each day they make fresh, homemade soups and have a pretty good«daily specials» board. I do wish they had more salad options and the service could be a bit faster, but I’m not usually in a huge rush when I’m home so I’ll let that slide… Coffee is decent and it doesn’t break the bank like Starbucks. I also LOVE that Sue’s is located on the water. Grab a seat by the window and as Whoopi says, take time to enjoy the view(and the freighters). Did I mention that they have a wine bar in the back and a bottle will only run you about $ 7 – 10 a pop? Yeah. You read that correctly.

Sue’s Coffee House is a delightful meeting place in downtown St. Clair. They have a menu of coffees, teas(hot and iced), smoothies and other freshly made drinks, and also offer beer and wine. A cigar room is stocked with excellent cigars(or so I was told by the gentleman who was smoking one on their outdoor streetside patio yesterday). They also offer a selection of light lunch and dinner sandwiches and other fare, as well as fresh baked goods. Free wireless and a collection of comfortable chairs and tables complete the friendly experience. It’s a hometown place with real personality.
