Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Have to say these guys and gals were great. They were not overbearing trying to sell you something that you didn’t want. I liked the cadences they did to make sure that they had every base covered. They were very polite and cordial. The only thing that is stopping me from giving them a perfect 5(wish I could give them a half star because this is not to much of a big deal), is that they didn’t show me my dirty oil before they did my oil change.
I would really like to give 4.5 stars.

I am the type that actually enjoys changing my own oil. In this case. My hand tools were still and I was well overdue. The guys at this Valvoline were professional and quick. They made me aware of an issue with my heat shield and suggested if you preventative maintenance items. I’ll also be experience was well worth the price. I may not be. here that often but I would direct anyone who is to make this their home oil change location.

Car was long overdue for oil change — figured I would see how quick/​instant /​etc this place was. All I have to say… VERY impressed. And, my gosh… I think that’s kind of hard to do when your simply an oil change facility! But, (I wish I remembered his name) who ‘ran’ the oil change was so courteous and followed his Valvoline Marketing manual perfectly! And, I promise … I AM not being sarcastic! He offered me all those services (that my car certainly needed & that they hope you will buy) w/​such charm … He almost had me having some of them done! That good.
Really good outfit! The day I had it done… I said to myself… gotta give this guy some Unilocal props! Oh & I that they had a female technician too. Gotta love a girl who knows how to work under the hood!

Been here a few times in the past and didn’t have any issues. It’s an oil change, not rocket science. The guys were friendly and overly interested in my car, a Dodge Charger R/​T. They wanted to know if it handled well and was fast… I get it, they are car guys. I usually do all of my own maintenance work on my own cars, but I was feeling lazy today, and it’s a lease, so I didn’t feel like doing work on a car I’m only going to have for another 6 months. Anyway, I keep my cars immaculate. Through Michigan winters and summers, I have been able to keep the appearance as it if it had just come off of the lot. The one time I take it to this place, the guy swings my door open to scan the VIN and it hits the keyboard part of the computer desk. It seemed really light so I didn’t think much about it. As soon as I left the place, I made my way to the store and looked at the damage. Devastating. The scratch is about a half inch long, down to bare metal. He must have hit the metal frame that the keyboard was sitting on. Also, there was oil handprints all over the front of the car and on the hood.
Now, I have to order a touch up kit and see if I can fix this. I’m really disappointed and I won’t be back. I’ll be going back to doing my own maintenance on my cars since these guys can’t be careful enough to pay attention to what they are doing and don’t clean up after themselves.

Oil change took a reasonable amount of time, and I had Excellent service! Plus their prices are Reasonable :) I’ll always go back!

Great staff, professional and good with the discounts. I recommend when it’s cold out and you don’t want to do it yourself!

I’ve been to this Valvoline location three times in the past 6 months. I found the review on Unilocal,realized that it is only a couple blocks away from me, and decided to give it a go.
The problem I’ve had over the years with these instant oil change places is that they have trouble picking up the fact that you don’t have interest in all the additional/​highly priced extras they offer. Much to my surprise, the staff at Valvoline was the least pressuring that I’ve had as well as the overall friendliest. I’m assuming that getting away from asking me a million questions trying to get me to buy would be considered the customer service representative doing a «bad» job but, considering everyone that goes to these places feels pressure to buy things, it has been a nice change of pace.
Instant oil change places are a dime a dozen and can be found all over Metro Detroit. If you happen to be on the eastside and notice the «change oil» light flashing in your face (and you’re not like me and watch the light for 3 months before doing anything about it) I suggest checking out the SCS Valvoline.

I have been going to this particular location since I was 16. Yes I have strayed and I actually stopped going there for about a year due to an incident that I had with the service.
BUT whoever hired the staff that is in there now which has been the same for a while now should get an award!
Not only are these fellas quick they care about your car and the level service you are getting.
They don’t try to push services off on you that you don’t need or the unnecessary filter or $ 40 set of windshield wipers.
I rolled in and about 20 mins later I rolled out with a smile on my face with a happy car.
I mean I even got entertained while I was there. One of the nice fellas offered to perform a tap dance ahaha!
It was just a over all good experience.
As long as I live in MI and I am not too far from this location I will continue to bring my car here and recommend it to anyone who needs an oil change.
