This is a nice sized dog park with lots of shade, fresh water and seating for the dog parents.

Treaty Park is an amazing park, with tons to do, and is a good time for anybody looking to get some exercise, spend some time in the sunny Florida weather, or enjoy a good time with family and friends in a safe, clean, fun environment. When you first pull in, you’ll notice the skate park and dog park to your left, right next to a large parking area. If you continue down the road, you’ll eventually come to the main parking lot, which offers up PLENTY of spots, unless you show up on a day when there is a sporting event, then it may be a bit tougher to find a spot. The park itself has a walking /running /biking trail going all around it, which I believe is about 3 or 4 miles long. It’s a nice way to spend some time, as the trail is nice and smooth, and runs through a wooded area, so you can get some peace and quiet while you enjoy your exercise. The center of the park is a building that centers 3 softball fields, all of which are very well groomed and maintained. There are some restrooms there, as well as a few soda /water /gatorade machines. There is also about 3 or 4 soccer and football fields. One area has a bunch of tennis courts, along with some horseshoe pits, a HUGE playground for the kids, there’s some racquetball and basketball courts, and a large covered building surrounded by grills and containing lots of picnic tables in case you’d like to have a family grill out. A huge pond in the center offers up great views, and there are benches located throughout the area that you can sit on and enjoy watching the wildlife, or you can walk across the bridges that will take you through the pond or wooded areas. This is a fantastic park that is great for all ages. There is something to do for EVERYBODY, and I definitely recommend this to anyone in the St. Augustine area. The park offers up many choices of activities, and it is always clean and well-maintained. Be sure to clean up after yourself, and watch out for the wildlife, as not only will you see lots of ducks, geese, turtles, and other birds and friendly animals, you will also likely run into snakes and ‘gators, depending on what part of the park you visit. Pay attention to your surroundings, though, and you’ll be fine and have a GREAT time. Guaranteed.

I really like this location as there is an activity for everyone at this park, even the family dog! This large parks amenities are: –Large skateboarding Park with Pro Shop –Out door racquetball courts — As with any outdoor courts, these courts get debris through the ceiling. As a rule, I always bring my broom for a quick sweep prior to play. Also, I am leary of the heavy metal doors in these courts as the locking mechanisms are rusty. You may want to keep the door slightly ajar to prevent any possible inadvertent lock in! Also cement enclosed courts are stifling especially on a 90 degree day. Opening the door for about 15 minutes prior to your racquetball match seems to bring in a little initial air flow. –Dog park with covered seating area — Although this is somewhat small, you are able to watch not only your dog frolic but your kids do kick flips in the adjacent skate park. –Tennis and basketball courts –Large fields for baseball or soccer –Horseshoe area Great place to get outdoors, get some exercise or kick back on a park bench and just relax!
