The Yoga Room

I was visiting in St. Augustine for work and found the need for some yoga. Happily, I found The Yoga Room! They were also running a «$ 20 unlimited for 2 weeks» for new students. Since I hoped to take at least 2+ classes, and classes being $ 15 each, this seemed like the way to go. The spec is unique, in that your practice begins the moment you enter through the door. It truly is a «yoga room»! There are cubbies for your things and a small bathroom. No mats to borrow, but they do have blocks, blankets, and straps. Be warned, the room is kept fairly warm — I wasn’t expecting that for the Ashtanga class! So be prepared to sweat. I enjoyed Suzy’s Ashtanga Vinyasa on Sunday. While I am not new to Ashtanga, I had never completed the full primary series. It is not for the faint of heart! But I made it and was inspired by the other yogis. The vinyasa class on Tuesday with Pam was wonderful. Such a sense of community and a great flow. I was sad to leave St Augustine and The Yoga Room!

Very supportive environment. Great group of individuals. I have only had the opportunity to take Suzy’s classes, but she is a wonderful teacher.
Knowledgeable, leads by example and very compassionate.
