I went Café Spain because, I was craving paella well I still am(I have to make some myself.) The price of it seemed very VERY expensive(twice the price as anything else on the menu) for a place like this so I did not get it .I got a pork dish the pork and vegetables where very greasy my wife had a chicken rice dish that she told me was very bland. The service was lacking and we had to chase the server down for beverage refills! They had a band playing with dancers one of the dancers was pretty good the other was a little out of practice and it looked like she had been drinking because she was staggering around. We had to scream at each other because, of the band… its a shame this place is so bad its a GREAT location in a Great Place St Augustine!

I don’t know why Café Spain was not listed on Unilocal, but now it is. They have a large menu with tapas and entrees for lunch and dinner. The wine list includes good Spanish reds and they have a full bar. Flamenco dancers perform on Saturday nights but call to make sure. We had the calamari to start which put this restaurant on our list of favorite calamari places. Puerco asado with yellow rice is definitely recommended.
