Tony is excellent at what he does, and his new shop is clean, bright, and easy to access on Main Street. You’ll find it within the Market Place. After trying a few tailors in the Greater Hartford area, I found Tony, and now I make the drive to Springfield purely due to his skill and professionalism.

Tony recently moved locations due to the casino. The new place is on the Market Street the pedistrian-way behind Main by the Civic Center. Tony is a quiter gentleman who knows his stuff and seems friendly, although he didn’t really talk to me that much. I had a jacket sized down and he said it would take about a week for him to complete, when I returned he needed another day — recently moving probably was the cause for the delay. Anyway the suit fit and cost about 35 bucks. I get a lot of clothing tailored so I’m not sure if I would go back or try and find another tailor who is a bit more personalbe and attempts to ask me a few questions about the fit or style of cut. All in all the work he did was great and I would recommend him based on the location.

I walked into Tony’s for the first time last week. I needed to have a shirt sized down and I wanted to ‘shop local.’ Tony is a quiet but friendly guy, I presume of Italian descent by his accent. He did a fine job of bringing in my shirt in about a weeks time. It cost me $ 15. My wife says that’s about average(in cost) but for me to be able to continue wearing the shirt it was worth it. It’s like new(only smaller.) So you know, the stores façade is nothing to speak of. The interior is the same way, it’s old and looks like it hasn’t been ‘tended to’ in decades. It didn’t matter to me, in a way it’s just character. I’m bringing back more shirts…
