When this place opened it rocked! Food, service, and prices were excellent. Then it looks like they got bought out. Food was still good as well as the service but the portions shrank and the prices went sky high! I went there 3 times under the new owner hoping things would get better. They did not. The place was a ghost town when we went at dinner time on weekends. The new owner also ditched the live entertainment. Always a crowd killer. JJ The Fed

Found this place through a recommendation from a friend. We wanted a Thai place that delivered. The local clipper magazine advertised a new place«Celedon» that delivered but when I called, they said they had not started it yet. Then why are you advertising it? On to TK Thai, I found the menu on Unilocal, thanks to the poster. We ordered a couple of dishes, Volcano Beef, Spicy green beans with beef, and a flat noodle dish. Despite the distance, it’s probably about 20 minutes away, the food was amazingly still hot and very yummy. The spicy green beans sauce was amazing and the noodles were freshly made. They gave us a complimentary Thai Iced Tea, a very gigantic one. That was a nice touch. We’ll definitely order here for the future!

I realllllllly like their pad thai. Its fresh and the sprouts!!! no day-old sprouts here. The best Pad Thai(for restaurants that deliver) in the area. And it was so quick! I say worth the try…

Well, I wrote my original review without having eaten at TK Thai in awhile. I will have to say my last takeout order was very disappointing. First — The portions, overall, were anemic compared to what they usually serve. The Moo Phoon did taste great but was about half the usual size. Additionally, we decided to try an order of the«Shrimp Won-tons» — we couldn’t find any shrimp in the won-tons whatsoever. They were folded like there should have been something tucked into the middle but after ripping them all open there was no filling to be found — so we had a $ 7 order of plain fried won-ton wrappers. The entrees were average at best. The sweet and sour chicken was not very good at all. The Ka Prow was average(and small) and the Pad Thai was also average. I am hoping that this was a «one off» night… but now that I look at the recent comments. I am wondering if their quality is beginning to lag.

TK Thai, Yay! I’m a fan, fo sho! I grew up in Springfield and recently moved to Manassas about 2 ½ years ago. My next door neighbors in Springfield were Thai(well, the Father was Thai and the Mother is Chinese). They had three sons and we all grew up together, so you can say I am very familiar with authentic Thai and Chinese cuisine. TK Thai is very authentic. As a matter of fact, a good test of this at a Thai restaurant is to ask them if they have a «Thai Menu». If they do, they are usually more authentic and TK Thai has one. When I feel adventurous I’ll have a seat at the bar and ask about some of the Thai Menu options(it’s all in Thai, so I can’t read it! LOL). As people have said in the other reviews, they aren’t real busy most of the time so they will take the time to explain things to you. Another thing I love is when I’m in the mood for REAL spicy food, now that they know me when I ask for, «Thai Spicey» they really make it Thai Spicy. When I say that, on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being like the surface of the sun hot, they will throw an 8 or 9 at me, NICE! Don’t be surprised if your not asian and ask for it and you don’t get it. They are worried you might have a nuclear meltdown in your mouth and you can’t take the pain! LOL Just let them know, «Hey, I really like it much hotter than that.» To fix the dish you got, ask for some fresh chopped Thai peppers. They will bring you some and that will get it goin! I go out of my way to hit this place probably once or twice a month when I’m in the mood to chill, have a drink, take in some nice Jazz and eat the real deal. If your a spicy seafood lover like I am, try out the Spicy Octopus dish. This is an item which used to only appear on their Thai Menu. Once the word got out and people were ordering it they put in on the«Standard Menu».

TK Thai is very close to a location that I visit for work. The food is excellent, and service is attentive. The restaurant unfortunately is always pretty quiet, which made me nervous at first but my fears were put to rest when I tried my first dish!

Fast, easy, yummy Thai food. TK Thai doesn’t make a big deal about making entrees vegetarian. Spicy tofu basil and penang curry w tofu and broccoli.

TK Thai is the nearest Thai establishment to my home. I’m surprised there aren’t many Thai restaurants in Springfield, considering a lot of Thais reside in the area. Oh well, Springfield isn’t where the money’s at. TK Thai doesn’t pretend to be trendy like other Thai restaurants. I’m so BLOODY(understatement) bored of the elegant, yet futuristic themes most Thai restaurants in the area have. Seriously. YAWN! UNORIGINAL! BORING! ZZZ! When I need a Thai fix, I don’t care about the neon lights and crazy cocktail concoctions. Sometimes I just like it bloody simple, especially when it comes to Thai food(which I sort of grew up to). Since TK Thai isn’t quite as authentic as a Thai street food vendor, it satisfies my Thai fix. I could go to Tyson’s and eat at one the many growing Thai restaurant chains in the area, but this small joint is just fine for me. The portions are relatively small. I could complain, but then again portion-control is part of a healthy lifestyle. Right? These days we like to king-size everything. no wonder why obesity has become an epidemic in the US. We are greedy and we love large portions. TK Thai has dinner specials every day of the week. They deliver too.

TK Thai has the best Thai food in the Springfield area(which isn’t saying much since there are many restaurants in the area). The food is great, and it is served quite fast. It always seems to be empty when I go there, so I’m not really sure how it stays open… must be popular for takeout/delivery. :)
