This complex looks nice on the outside, but the Property Management gives you the ‘deer in the headlights’ look when you tell them about a problem or a situation. They are good at fixing the internal parts of the apartment for the most part, but the grounds and the outsdie maintainence is poor at best. This complex is supposed to be secure. There is a ‘locking’ gate and walking entryway to the sidewalk leading to the Metro. This gate is often broken(it’s held together by plastic ties right now) and the it is open because the locking mechanism is not working. .So it is not secure, and anyone off the street can walk into the«gated» parking area. The«security» fobs that let the resident into the buildings are worthless, since the door magnetic locks are often broken and the doors can be opened by anyone who walks into the complex through the broken gates. Anyone therefore can walk off the street and walk into your building, up to your door. Everyone should make sure that they always lock their apartment doors. Having said that, once the maintainece crew came into my apartment when I was home, did not knock, and walked in. After realizing I was home they said«Opps wrong apartment I was told it was vacant». He is lucky I did not hit him on the head with a frying pan out of fear of a break in. You can’t ever be safe since maintainence comes into your apartment unannounced and without knocking. It scared the heck out of me. Right now they are replacing the outside windows, which whill be nice when done, but in the meantime, half of the parking space is taken up by the construction crew(with pounding, drilling and sawing starting outside your window at 7:20AM). There is nowhere for paying residents to park. There is debris everywhere with large containers of smelly garbage all over the parking lot. The office staff doesn’t care. It takes them forever to fix anything in the ‘gym’ the ‘business center’, the pool room, or security. You can ask them to fix something, and they say«did you tell anyone?» even when you have been telling them for 4 months. They act like they have no memory. Even the maintaince supervisor says he cannot remember anything, and says«don’t tell me». I would never live here again. They promise everything, and when you sign the lease they do nothing to fix the complex problems. The gym had broken equipment for over a year, the printer in the business center is not working, the pool cues have no tips. They sell you on all these ‘niceities’ but really notthing is kept up or in working condition. The most infuriating thing is the look of ‘blankness’ the staff gives you, like they know nothing, and claim they nothing and can do nothing. Customer service here is an oxymoron. What the complex needs is a system to log Incidents where they can be tracked to closure(Incident Resolution and Prevention System). This way the office cannot claim they were never told, and residents can check the status of there items and date of expected fix, if it were a software app on the web. Above all security is non existant, the office staff are not helpful by claiming ignorancel, and the rent is extrememly high for what you get. Stay away from this complex.
