Jenn did my eyebrows, full set of foils, and a cut.
She did a great job on my eyebrows, but didn’t seem to show much confidence in doing my hair… turned out to be justified.
She did pretty good on the highlights but I think that was because another stylist was giving her tips. I have some patchy areas in the front that have to be fixed though.
My hair used to be very long-​to the middle of my back. I asked for layering start at chin level and gradually going down. She did one layer that was extremely choppy below my shoulders. I asked her to blend it in more and the other stylist helped. Well when I got home i realized that when she blended the layers she pretty much made a bald patch in the center-​a good 3 inches across.
I ended up cutting my own hair (courtesy of a YouTube video) at the layers-​losing about 6 inches of length. It turned out a million times better than what she did.
If you have something you need done that is simple– men’s hair, trim, bangs, simple layers… I think going to SmartStyle is fine. Most of the stylists seem to be fresh out of school though so be careful.
