Skybox Too

«First impression» Went for a quick lunch. It took about 5 minutes before we saw a server… Placed our order immediately as this was a lunch break from work and we could already sense there were going to be issues.
Waitress did not return to our table for 40 minutes.
There were 5 other people in the place and no one else was eating lunch.
We finally got our food and it was just OK. Not hot, not cold… Not good, not bad.
For $ 10 per plate. Definitely not worth it. The quesedilla had chicken, cheese and Buffalo sauce on it. Definitely not a 40 minute, $ 10 dish.
Overall, at 1pm on a Tuesday, this was a bad experience.

Although skybox too has some of the more girly drinks that my girlfriend enjoys (and I must admit that I did enjoy them myself in the past), I wasn’t very impressed with this bar. They have shuffleboard if you’re into that sort of thing, but where’s the pool table. I don’t know about other towns, but I didn’t think Springfield had much of a shuffleboard crowd. Fortunately there wasn’t hardly anybody there when we went on a Monday night. Otherwise we would’ve had a hard time finding a seat at the bar with the chairs so close together you can barely pull them apart. If you’re looking for a beer and you want to watch a game, this might not be a bad place to go. However, there are much better places to go (Big whiskey’s across the street). At least as a designated driver, I didn’t have to pay for my soda. That’s always a good point as far as I’m concerned. I love freebies!

Take it from a ‘Foodie’ this was no one time, fly by night referral. I had been told by many the great food offered here. Hands down, top 3 Springfield Spots to get Wings (recommend the Asian Sesame on traditional bone in, .50cent wings Monday nights!!)Server was kind and suggestive, Flat Screen in every empty wall space but not overly crowded, even during the World Series. Chill atmosphere great prices, Southside Approved. 2 appetizers, 1 entrée, 4 cocktails less than $ 30. BAM :)

If I could give this place a ⁰⁄₅ I would. I ordered the Royal w/​Cheese. The burger was so grease filled that it was dripping off of the lettuce onto my hand, the plate, and the table. I used 4 napkins to soak up as much as possible, but I had to stop eating after a few bites. Having pushed the plate away in disgust, the bartender then took a napkin (not mine) and put it on my plate before he asked if I was even finished. He never once asked how the burger was or if there was something wrong with the ¾ burger left. I got my check, left my tall beer on the bar, and I got out of there. Big Whiskey’s is RIGHT down the street with better food, better servers, and a WAY better atmosphere all around for any kind of sports fan, beer drinker, or food lover. Save yourself money, time, and emotional distress by just saying no to this atrocious place.
