Shimizu Richard, MD

My wife and I were under Dr. Shimizu’s care for several years. We would still be with him if my insurance carrier had not changed providers in the Springfield area.
Dr. Shimizu is associated with the Ferrell-​Duncan Clinic. He is thorough, pleasant, friendly and genuinely concerned with solving your medical problems and helping you cope with chronic conditions. He and his office always responded to our phone calls and he would always write an explanatory letter after our annual physicals or lab tests. I really miss his services. I would have given him five stars except that I believe that is reserved for healers who can walk on water… and Richard Shimizu comes close.
If I ever get the chance to go back to the Cox Health System I would certainly ask Dr. Shimizu to be my primary care physician again.
